So Mithion, regarding the whole Earth Guardian block destroying griefing thing, why don't you add a sigil or something like that that blocks boss summons in a large area? That way people who need it could make their towns grief-proof and it wouldn't interfere with your design of bosses.

Sigils no longer exist in 1.2, they have been replaced with something else.
I added this to 1.2 dev this morning - for those who don't agree with level 10, it is configurable. If you set it to 0, meteors will behave the way they do now.

I've been loving this mod since it started but I have just one question. How the crap do you summon the darn battle chicken. I have tried every possible combination I could think of, I get you gave a riddle but hell if it doesn't make any sense. Mind giving out a hint or something since I have spent hours on failed attempts and time spent dredging through the internet in a faint hope to find someone who posted it? I get the whole haste need, but does it work like other silver spells and only use components of the defense tree (as summon is in that) and if so how does "true power" fit in? In essence help I need that chicken dude.
And what is with people, that actually use this mod withhout anything else? One mod should never be balanced around another mod if it is not a dependency.

In a way, that's kind of what makes magic mods so different from technology mods. Each branch of magic is VERY diverse, and there are things you can only accomplish using one of them (An example being boring huge holes into the landscape with a single incantation/spell), as opposed to the Technology mods, which are so similar they even have converters to turn one kind of power into another. Magic wins, forever. and ever. So do random, out of the blue, magical patriotism posts.
I agree, and using magic definitely makes the bosses easier, but people can fight them however they want to.
I wasn't saying they had to use all spells or forcing them to... But as an intro to your server (assuming that is what it is...) it would have been nice to see some pretty freakin awesome spell combos... but going ballzy with the sword is just as good!!!!!

Mithion however makes a Godly mod (is it odd that i painted my room the ars magica 2 logo??????), for us lower beings to enjoy (excluding Max of course)..... and oh Max, I saw how you fought the fire guardian back when i think AM2 was still in beta.. or something. However, i loved the death count and about killed myself laughing!

I understand that it's frustrating, but adding configs as you know is a dev change, so you won't see a fix until 1.2 releases.
I can recommend, if you don't already have it, getting HawkEye Reloaded as a plugin. It tracks just about everything on the server, so you can look for the placing of the summoning blocks, the throwing of the items, and find out who is doing it. Then you can levy the banhammer on those griefers!
Oh you're making a fix? I didn't want it now, I just wanted to know if you would consider adding a config to change it in the future.
Edit: I was told there was no version for Hawkeye for our current version, plus Idk if it could reverse the damage done via Earth Guardian. Plus, we do have something to record who places down the blocks, the griefers, or rather griefer with multiple accounts, was already banned. You would think he would behave and not go round saying he was banned twice already.
Derp - I just remembered that if you turn the mob griefing gamerule off, the earth guardian won't damage terrain...

Only updated every once in awhile by me, its not really an official list, just a list constructed from what I hear and see.
Simply put, they are already in 1.2
