Way, perhaps this could be worked into the ritual of unbinding. Add an upgrade to it, like you've done with the ritual of the crusher. Although, such an option would be costly. You'd have to remake everything. Bound sword, armor, sigils, blood orbs..... yikes!
Maybe WayOfTime could add a "Soul Key" (Different from a key of Binding) that could "Lock" your soul network. Only people holding the key could use items bound to that person's soul network (Almost like the opposite of the key of binding, because it prevents people from accessing and adding to another person's soul network). It would explode quite powerfully, based on the amount of LP in the owner's network, if somebody else picked it up, and also cause all of the person's other items to explode as well.
The downside would be that you'd need to right click it before using any bound item, and there'd be an extra 10% LP cost to any item in the soul network.
You'd need to infuse a diamond hoe in a tier four altar, and then craft it with an already bound key of binding, along with a Master blood orb and Six demonic slates.
Maybe this could be a plausible way to prevent mean people from taking your stuff and exploiting you for personal gain. It could also be a way to completely destroy somebody's base by stealing their key.
I have a question, I am worried about using this mod on a server as i don't know of a way to unbind yourself from the things like singals you have bound, I am worried about someone getting killed and there blood magic signals stolen and then having to do some world cleanup.
edit just read some of this page found a guy who suffered my fear.
Way of flowing time could you revise the binding system to bind to a code not the player?
like have a random code chosen for the player and give them the option to re randomize it any time they like?
thus making all items using the old code not work?
say i get a code first time gajsdbkjsb
and someone steals a item with the code gajsdbkjsb
I learn of it and so i then I could do some rite to randomize my own players code?
also make anything with a invalid code bind to the next user who attempts to use it?
Way
Excuse me but I asked you a question: is There a way to use sigils without it being on your hotbar? like some sort of Pedestal or something?
No, though the Sigils can be used as upgrades to your Bound Armor to add new functions to it, so that kind of does the same thing, I guess. But no, pedestals do not and should not work to activate your Sigils for you. After all, most of the buff Sigils do the same as they normally would when slotted into your Bound Armor. And the rest only trigger once per activation, so you'd still need some kind of remote for them. So no. Consider a Sigil of Holding instead, that one already exists.

Way, I don't think they key of binding is working in the latest 1.7.2 version. I can bind the key to myself, but it refuses to bind any items. The server wide key doesn't work either, which is really disappointing. I had some neat stuff planned for our server spawn. Nothing shows up in the logs, so I can't offer anything in the form of logs.
I am running a MCPC+ server though, Build # 83. Forge 1098.
You could make a book on explaining how to use the mod and certain rituals like Ars Magica and Thaumcraft by putting a book in the blood altar while it is filled with your blood.
In my test world I gave an OpenComputers Robot a key of binding to use and an archmage's blood orb on a while true loop. Turns out the robot has his own soul network and when it uses the blood orb, it drains very little energy from the robot but still adds life points to the soul network. The "very little energy" is made up for by 5 redstone engines from buildcraft + the solar upgrade from open computers. This allows me to use tons of sigils and other blood magic items practically infinitely.

I second this idea, and might I suggest adding a "how to build the altar" section.
The number of times my computer has lagged out because I had to switch back and forth between minecraft and firefox is, frankly, bordering on absurd.
so I am useing 1.7.2 1.0.1e and Forge .1083 seems to be kicking me off my 1.7.2 server due to a client side mod missing, its not a crash so no crash log I took out bloodmagic and the error went away so that is why I am thinking its Blood Magic

I guess that's the same thing that I just found with open computers.
You bad, bad person...
My envisioned ideal strategy would be to well of suffering a mob dropper... Or autonomous activators slaughtering villagers... Or villagers being pushed to me, who would slaughter them...
I wish the config had more tweaking options for some of the bound tools and stronger items. I personally feel that many of these items are AWESOME in mechanic, but are just a tad too strong. I'd love to see config options to weaken the bound pickaxe and maybe a config option to nerf the air sigil a bit, y'know stuff like that.
Without those config options my only real option to make it less stronger would be to use MCPC and perms to remove the items entirely, and I wouldn't wanna upset my server players but as it is right now, being able to go mining and fill your entire inventory in like 1-3 clicks is a tad insane lol. Great job nonetheless on the mod!
It appears that blood shards are uncraftable in 1.0.1e for 1.6.4 (DW20 FTB)
Blood Shards (I assume you mean the red, crystal-y thingy used to make bloodstone bricks) are a drop from mobs who have an enhanced weakness effect on them from an energy blaster or a bound sword; you need to hit a creature twice for them to drop, because one-hitting them with a bound sword doesn't count. Demon blood shards are blue, and they drop from elementals, which you have to summon.
If you meant that you're having trouble with using blood shards in a crafting recipe, please ignore my un-useful post. : l

People are saying that the tablet is capable of having its own Soul Network.
Yeah... TT doesn't seem to be following the convention of using FakePlayer. Not my fault, since I check for FakePlayers.
