I would assume that a mod that adds more hostile mobs to be able to spawn in the world would be needed probably because the maximum amount of mobs has been reached.
To start off, I'd like to say that this is a spectacularly well put together collection of mods. I highly recommend an rpg/adventure texture pack to anyone who plays, especially the jungle ruins pack. It actually feels like I'm looting treasures in ancient ruins, and it seems most 16/32x packs look decent alongside the mod blocks and items
I have yet to encounter any id conflicts or similar problems I often see in packs like this, and I applaud your hard work in the painstaking process that is editing config files to make everything run smoothly. However, I do seem to have a major problem regarding mob spawn. The frequent dungeons keep the gameplay pace steady, but when mining or in the wilderness at night I encounter almost NO naturally spawning hostile mobs outside of the occasional WaM mummy or knight, which I found very dissapointing considering I was quite eager to face some challenging grimoire, lycanites and dungeon mobs. I have loads of epic weapons and equipment, and even the special and infernal mobs that come from dungeon spawners pose little threat anymore. Anyone else have this problem, and is there a way I can fix it while I wait for future updates?
Thank you so much for noticing the lack of ID conflicts ,it was a TON of tweaking. The only conflicts you will see in the consle log are those that can't be changed, basically the ones that are a mod overwriting vanilla items.
Anywho about the mobs. I will check into it. I too have noticed a lack of certain mobs as well. next update structures will become MUCH more sparse as well. If you happen to find a nice way in the mean time to increase the mobs to an amount you would like please report back.

^^^This is a possibility, especially with the Roguelike Dungeons Mod installed.
This looks really nice, it seems like it could easily end up officially supported by the technic launcher. If you were to add more dimensions this could easily outshine Hexxit. I can't run this as my computer can barely handle vanilla, but definitely looking forward to seeing where this goes.
This pack won't outshine Hexxit as they're to different types of packs.
Hey, mod pack dev you do know that you can not under any circumstances have Optifine in your pack and where can I see the permissions you did get? Also you can't just have a mod pack without respecting the mod creators wishes.
Side Note - Really Minecraft Forums! We're loosing our game with catching mod packs without permission and this is the home of all Minecraft mods. We can't let somebody ignore the creator's wishes that they set out for their hard work. :/

On his techinc platform post he did mention that he got the permissions from mod creators in the Permissions and Licensing and if they didn't want their mod in the pack they could ask for it to be removed.
And I only said that in comparison as they are both adventure oriented mod packs.

He has to show proof how do I know if he's lying or not? Yes, you're right they could ask for their mod to be removed.

Well, I assume he's telling the truth after all if the mod developers don't want it in this mod pack they can always complain to him. Anyways the owner of the mod pack can give you permissions.
Argh, major bug to report I had a crash (as sometimes happens, no big deal) but when I opened my single player worlds to play the one that had crashed, it was simply gone from the list. I had this problem before but didn't mention it because you got rid of fps plus which supposedly leads to crashes, and since then I didn't have a world disappear, until now. Ive had worlds corrupted by buggy terrain generation before, but never deleted altogether. I'll try to save a log of the problem if it happens again, since I don't really have much more information about the issue, sorry.
And it turns out the dungeon spawn theory was spot on, I increased dungeon pack rarity and turned rogue like dungeons off altogether and instantly found myself mauled to death by ents and minotaurs/minotauri. Yes!! The sense of terror at night is back. Hopefully the world-deletion bug gets solved though.

Once I played with a set of mods and I would crash and then the world would be deleted. I had to redownload the set of mods I had. So, I assume that the .jar is corrupted maybe, but don't take my word for it. Make sure to backup your saves so it doesn't happen.

Ok... where to start? I also believe that this pack could never even come close to outshining Hexxit. Hexxit was and is amazing. Not to mention that this pack is incredibly resource intensive and not as many people will be able to play it reliably.
Next, as far as your Optifine perms question goes, I find your question most amusing considering I just downloaded your pack that you posted to the Minecraft forums today (that oddly enough is very similar to the Hexplore-it idea) and low-and-behold you also have Optifine in the pack and don't have your permissions for that posted along with the others. There were a number of other mods you were also publicly distributing that you don't have listed on your permissions page, on these forums or your technic platform page. By the way I gave you a +1 while I was there.
Now that I have have sounded semi-****-ish (not my intention, I'm actually a pretty chill dude), You are aware of Minecraft's EULA correct? At this point in time as it stands asking mod authors/devs for permissions is merely out of politeness. This being said I would NEVER include a mod in this pack or any of my other packs that I was told explicitly (by the actual creator) to remove. For example, I was explicitly told by the Mutant Creatures creator not to include his mod publicly as seen here, http://puu.sh/97eDc/9dc1608179.png. *Note, this is also a mod included in your pack you failed to show perms of.

I appreciate you speaking on my behalf but I had not realized I hadn't updated that page in a while. I have since edited it and it is now more accurate. Considering Minecraft's EULA I won't be taking the time to post all my perms etc... anymore.
He has to show proof how do I know if he's lying or not? Yes, you're right they could ask for their mod to be removed.
I don't have to show you proof of anything. I have removed all mods that I have been asked to. Not as an issue of legality, but because I'm not a douche. Mod developers spend an obscene amount of time creating these mods for people just like us to play for very little incentive. This is an extremely thankless job for the most part and they deserve respect.

Optifine is in the pack? Yes, I put it in my own development build but surely I couldn't have put it in the stable. Oh well I lost interest in that pack any way and I needed to make room for my new one because I'm only one person and I can't manage both. Also I did get permission from the creator of Mutant Creatures. I took the chance of asking him and he gave me permission as long as it's on FTB. If you read the permissions section you would have saw that. Sorry, If I attacked you I have a "problem" with going off on people without permissions for mod packs as I normally stick to the old ways of things. Hopefully we're alright I didn't mean to offend you in any way. Also thanks for spotting some problems within my own packs. I'll have to remember to keep the stable and my own versions separate. I'm sure it'll be easier now that I'm going to be using Feed the Beast for now on instead of Technic Platform (Except if I get a lot of request to do so). Outside of our little misunderstanding you make your packs very well. The pack is good enough to get on FTB so if you can contact Slowpoke or one of the mods on FTB. I'll be looking foward to seeing the new additions that you add to the pack.
Edit - Just so you know I wasn't copying your mod pack idea. I don't see how a mod pack based on adding more survival and realistic elements to Minecraft (Improved Survival) and a mod pack that's a expansion pack (Your mod pack) to Minecraft is similar. Actually you started this forum post on March 24, 2014 (Which I assume you posted the pack publicly for the first time). My 'Improved Survival' mod pack has been around since December of 2013, I just decided to start posting it on the Minecraft forums well not any more since it's discontinued like the pack it's based on. Now I see why the original pack creator abandon the idea, it was because there isn't a lot of mods that focus on survival and I don't think there would be enough people interested in the idea for me to make mods for the content pack so it's better to leave it alone.

Add more memory to the server. If you tell me how much RAM you have I'll gladly make the .bat file for adding more memory to the server.(See Edit)
P.S. - You might want to try to put the crash log in a spoiler tag like this (Without the quotes and the dash) "[spoiler-] Test goes here [/spoiler-]"
Edit - I'm having second thoughts on it being caused by a small amount of memory. 3GB should be enough so I'm not sure what is causing it. It has to be a mod causing which is painful because that means someone has to go through every single mod and see what's causing it. Or at least that's how I solve the problem with my own content packs.

We're cool. I was just pointing out a few things. Thanks for the compliments on the pack BTW. Hexplore-It was originally 1.5.2 started last December as well. I didn't really post it anywhere at the time other than the Technic Platform page. I was just learning how to build packs following a theme then. It is ind of hard to get a decent pack going without the tech and magic mods and focusing more on vanilla/survival feel. I have considered trying to get it on FTB but I don't even really know how to go about it at this point. I have very little free-time so I will keep the focus on what I am doing now before attempting that. If you go back to Technic at all, I highly recommend making 2 modpacks and hiding one for testing, that is what I do so as not to confuse them.

Well going by the report, it is memory. What it probably is, is that he has allotted too much RAM and his OS doesn't have enough to run on.

How much RAM do you have altogether Benua?
Thanks for the tip. If I do go back to Technic I'll be sure to make two packs. One for myself and one for stable. By the way if you do decide to put your pack on FTB you'll want to read this: http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/3rd-party-modpack-guidelines.18250/ and use MultiMC to build the FTB version of the pack (That's why I said it'll be easier for me with FTB and the fact that I'm well known over at FTB).

I looked at it for a third time and you're right. He has to have a maximum of 3GB of RAM all together because he is on x86 (32 bit) OS and processor (Says in the crash log - Operating System: Windows 7 (x86) version 6.1). Since he's on Windows 7 which takes up 2GB that leaves him with 1.5GB of RAM that's accessible to the user. Which 1.5 GB of RAM isn't enough for a server nor the mod pack itself. So now the question is what FPS does he get when playing the pack?
Thanks for the tip. If I do go back to Technic I'll be sure to make two packs. One for myself and one for stable. I ues MultiMc to build my packs now. I love it and it is easy to use.

Oddly I thought I'd give it one more try with a different biome type and it's worked, the above crash is with ATG and a BoP world gen type has now been made and loaded.
Hmm... Definitely a world gen issue but not sure of the direct cause. I'll keep sifting through it. I know that I recommend using only default world type as it says on the website. The other types rarely work and the added biomes are in the worlds regardless the way I set it up.
Just four curiosity's sake, how much RAM do you have total, and how much of it did you allocate to Technic. Also Mac or PC?
Thank you so much for noticing the lack of ID conflicts ,it was a TON of tweaking. The only conflicts you will see in the consle log are those that can't be changed, basically the ones that are a mod overwriting vanilla items.
Anywho about the mobs. I will check into it. I too have noticed a lack of certain mobs as well. next update structures will become MUCH more sparse as well. If you happen to find a nice way in the mean time to increase the mobs to an amount you would like please report back.
Thanks again for the great feedback!
^^^This is a possibility, especially with the Roguelike Dungeons Mod installed.

And I only said that in comparison as they are both adventure oriented mod packs.
And I knew that was the issue
Ok... where to start?
Considering Minecraft's EULA I won't be taking the time to post all my perms etc... anymore.

If you tell me how much RAM you have I'll gladly make the .bat file for adding more memory to the server.(See Edit)P.S.

I looked at it for a third time and you're right. He has to have a maximum of 3GB of RAM all together because he is on x86 (32 bit) OS and processor (Says in the crash log - Operating System: Windows 7 (x86) version 6.1). Since he's on Windows 7 which takes up 2GB that leaves him with 1.5GB of RAM that's accessible to the user. Which 1.5 GB of RAM isn't enough for a server nor the mod pack itself. So now the question is what FPS does he get when playing the pack?
I ues MultiMc to build my packs now. I love it and it is easy to use.
