Yesterday, I was struck with the infamous bug that causes peoples systems to freeze whenever they load the server. I am convinced that the game freezes due to the environment in which you save. Note, you may be able to do this with a secondary account on your PS3(or even a USB/second PS3), but I did it with my friends PS+ account. So I will be referring to it in my steps. This may even work by just copying it so a secondary account on your PS3, then playing and advancing the server a little from there.
1. Load up your save file... Did your system freeze? Is it persistent?
2. Start back up your PS3 & Go to save game data utility on your XMB.
3. Find the save file for your world & copy it to your friends account on your PS3
4. Sign into your friends account on your PS3, find the save file in his save game data.
5. Upload it to his PS+ cloud
6. Have him sign in, and download from his PS+ cloud
7. Just have him boot up the game and start the server
8. Play around a little bit, advance the server then save.
9. Just reverse the steps to get it back onto your PS3.
Edit: People have tested this and confirmed it doesn't work with corrupted saves. But it should work with frozen worlds where you only get a blue sky.
The blue screen freeze when the world loads = no working
Copying the files to a new account results in the same blue screen freeze .
corrupted worlds = not working.
That's what I'm talking about, The blue screen freeze. Did you just try with a different account on YOUR system? or on a friends system? This worked for me by doing the method I stated.
Wait, it's the world save right, not the save cache? Cause that's what I uploaded to the cloud, the world save with the in-game screenshot as the picture and my world name. When he loaded up my server he just got the blue screen too..
Am I doing something wrong? Like everybody who has had this problem has done this fix and they've said it works for them but for some reason when I do it, it doesn't work. The only thing I can think of is that I copied the save to the separate user before I registered his account on my PS3, maybe I have to do it after its registered? Or in a different order or what? ughhh
I'm leaving this one open for the moment because it's addressing a fix for the freezing issue, which may be a separate bug. However, anyone whose problem is a corrupted/useless game save file, rather than a frozen screen, needs to post in http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/2213284-corrupted-saves/ instead of this thread.

You're supposed to do the individual world save. It should also be noted that my friend had already been in the server, so he was already in the savefile.

Maybe that's it... none of my friends who have been in my server have PS+.
Oh well. Thank you anyways!

I've not had a corrupted world... But it is worth a try. It will 100% fix a frozen world

I was pretty hopeful, but thanks anyways. Maybe this only works for certain instances.

It might work just by playing on a friends account from your PS3 that has been in server. PS+ might not be required... It is just how I did it.
