so can someone please tell me why we want upside down staires im just really excited for mob heads and ocelots oh and can anyone take a guess when the update comes out whoever guesses right gets a cookie
You can use upside down stairs on roofs, make tables create pillars, and also add more cosmetic effects. And don't ask when it will come out, just know that it is in cert testing and will be out really soon
Most people want them for making buildings look better. Another main use is for much better/smoother archways. People also use them for the roof. That's a few but there sure are plenty of other uses
I'm using some underneath my mob-sniping balcony in the PC game; I can't wait until we get them on the Xbox.
You can use them to make cantilevered things like that balcony. When we get them, I'm replacing the blocks I've used as the wall walk on my perimeter wall with them, too, once again for looks. In short, it's a cosmetic thing -- they look good.
The first thing I am going to test to see if you can place a chest under one to see if it will still open.
Upside down stairs is a very nice decorative block. Combine them with corner stairs and you have a lot of design options at your disposal.
that should work, especially if they did the coding similar to what the pc did.... I for one would use it in various thing, like quite a few things others have mentioned.

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

You never know, That's still the first thing I'm checking.
I like making floor designs with them, especially since you don't dip down into them.

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
Its weird that upside down stairs fuctionality doesn't already work on 360, as the coding for it is obviously there in some form.
If you look at some of the worlds converted from PC that have upside down stairs in them, they transfer over to the Xbox, but if you break them you can't place them back that way.
So I guess the graphical appearence of them being upside down is already supported by xbox, but the actual coding to place them that way isn't, pretty odd!

upside down stairs are absolutely awesome, and can make for some pretty decent looking designs for buildings and piston doors. just look at all the stuff Etho has built, for example. i just cant wait for them to be added into the xbox edition.

From what I know, mobs will still spawn on upside down stairs and slabs, so they're not too good for flooring.
Still, I'm with you. I'm gonna test everything that comes out: stairs, slabs, and glowstone-logic to name a few.
I was more going on about stairs for flooring with the new corner stairs and such.
This is another example using the upside down stairs. (this person is using a texture pack)

Sorry, I misunderstood what you were saying.
