How can I be a playstation fan boy if I don't own a PS3? I can call a person a fan boy and not be a fan boy myself. Also, the reason I don't want it to come to Xbox one is simply because it will fail epicly just like the system. Also, they (mojang) are considering a PS4 edition when the deal runs out. Actually, if Xbox one fails, PS4 will get all the fans, or most of the fans, (obviously some will go to Wii u and PC.) You know what? you are right. I might as well stop ranting like everyone else because it will most likely be on PS4 too. I know I will never get a Wii u anyways. Let me say this: I will be suprized if it is more successful than the sega dreamcast. (we all know that epicly failed.) I actually heard the dreamcast was a pretty good console despite it's low success. I actually heard that it was the best thing of it's time from the people who bought it. I might find myself going to PC. i would hate the change, but I would get used to it. I am getting a Nvidia card for my computer anyways. Who knows? I might find myself installing ubuntu on my computer and getting rid of windows, considering Microsoft will be all over me trying to milk all my money from me.
Also about PS4's PS+ It will only cost 50$ a YEAR, much better than MS's 15$ a month.
An Xbox Live Gold Membership can be purchased for a year at a time for $59.99. Up until a short time ago, a Family Pack could be purchased such that members of a household could have all access to Gold privileges using Family membership (I believe that was something like $99 per year). Microsoft have stated that for the Xbox One membership of the same household will be able to share gold privileges... anticipation is that this will be the return of some form of the Family Pack.
I don't know what the arguing is about. Minecraft will be on Xbox one, that is already announced. When the exclusive deal is done, it will very likely be put onto PS4 as well. This is good for everyone. Everyone can decide which platform they wish to use. Those who stick with PC can use that, those who purchase the xbox failure will be able to play on that and those the buy a PS4 will hopefully get to play on that.
I really don't care because I'm not getting either of them. Unless my friend forces me to. The way I see it, you can't get much closer to a PC than the X-Box 360. Making X-Box more like a PC like Microsoft claims will make, basically, will make a lower-byte storage and lower performance PC. And the PS4? I hate Playstaion.I meant to quote these people.....
Actually squidward, Xbox Done is gonna turn into PC because with PC, the disks, you can't give them to your friends period, and you will have to buy the games downloaded from something like steam, but the thing like steam, (Xbox live marketplace) isn't very user freindly and the games are launch price like six months after release, never mind the absence of a trial. You guys should watch AngryJoe on youtube. He is soooooo mad about this crap, that he might crap himself.

Rumor says Microsoft dropped the "Required internet" idea. Well hopefully it's true, because it's truly ridiculous.
I have respect for both companies, I've just liked the PS3 sliiightly more than Xbox 360. The only downside was that ALL of my friends had an Xbox 360...

It's true, not rumour. The link I posted above states it right from the mouth of their president on the Xbox website.
Looks like Microsoft really does listen to consumers, even though they REALLY need to hire new PR who actually know how to talk to people! Every negative thing that people were angry about (DRM, used game restrictions, region lock) have all been reversed! However they do have the right to change their policies again so that's something to consider. There are a couple of drawbacks though, removing the DRM also removes the 10 person share plan and the ability to have your library follow you (at least the way they originally planned).
Although Sony only told half truths when they said "nothing will change" because 3rd party publishers can restrict used games and add DRM if they want: http://kotaku.com/th...-game-512643240 So basically Microsoft did a full 180 and listened to consumers while Sony pretty much lied.
So now that the bad things are gone people can focus on the good things, cloud processing (making the Xbox One way more powerful), better exclusives, the ability to have a digital library (like Steam) and not have to worry about discs, etc. They might as well rename it the Xbox Won!

And also, RADIOACTIV56, are you seriously fighting with UpUp_Away over being a fanboy or not? Because neither of you guys are....lol
When I said that, I forgot that different posts go into one......sorry I'm new
No worries. The quote buttons can be a little tricky to get used to.
I don't think that Radioactiv and I were really arguing. In the end, we were almost saying the same thing... that it is pretty much inevitable that Minecraft will find its way onto the PS4. We do/did have a difference of opinion on the odds of the Xbox One succeeding in the marketplace. Certainly, this most recent backtrack by Microsoft will help resolve some of the issues for people. The loss of the ability to also share games online with 10 family members will make some others unhappy; and Microsoft (as usual) has a somewhat hated reputation to overcome.
Personally, I'm just planning to wait until both systems are actually released and then compare them based on how they are actually working rather than speculating about how things will work based on the current corporate postering combined with the myriad of unsourced rumors flying about. In the end, I may wind up just staying with the Xbox 360 for a year or two yet.
You will be able to lend, sell and buy used games on disc just like you do on the Xbox 360.
Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!! And the crowd goes wild! I was never actually a Playstation fan I just hated the concept of being held back by an ignorant company that has no idea what we as core gamers want. I am sooooo thankful that Microsoft is not that ignorant company that we all thought it was. Xbox one worked PS4 off my Christmas list. It is supposed to have much more stuff than PS4 anyways.
I don't think they were being ignorant, they just made horrible decisions because they were "planning for the future". It's too bad some of the best features of the Xbox One had to be removed along with the DRM though. All it would have done was make sure you owned the license to the game you were playing. This opened the door for many great things but if they addressed them in a positive, clear and understandable way from the beginning, maybe people could have accepted it. Like I said earlier, they REALLY need to hire new PR who know how to talk to people. Most if not all of this negativity could have been avoided.
What we have to consider now is that:
1. If Microsoft goes back on this they will suffer WAY more backlash than they already have. That could completely kill the Xbox One.
2. Sony is still keeping things secret and they have so much positive PR right now that they could pull a 180 and completely screw everyone and get away with it.
This is absolutely incredible that a massive corporation like Microsoft listened to all of the feedback and gave everyone exactly what they wanted! All I can say is that I'm glad I preordered my Xbox One when I did and I can't wait until November!
After watching that video, there could be a concept that gamestop, along side the disc, gives you a code on the receipt that you could redeem at anytime to download that particular game onto your system.
I don't think so, they are saying that you only need to connect to the internet once to do an initial set up for the *console*. After that you can play any disc based game offline forever. Including a code that needs to be registered online will basically go against the removal of DRM. I don't think they will listen to the consumers, give us what we want and then turn around and require a code that needs to be activated online when a lot of gamers do not have reliable internet if they have it at all.
That or I am misunderstanding your post and you mean that you can buy a disc and have a code to download a digital version to play without the disc and keep the disc as a hard copy, but then why wouldn't you just buy the digital copy in the first place. I'm sorry if I'm not getting this. Like I said before, Microsoft needs to hire people who can better explain these things. Seriously though, first we didn't understand the original policies and now they change everything!

It will make money on all systems.
Comic Sans is the best

You should read the latest on the sharing disc issue and get caught up... http://news.xbox.com/2013/06/update
