Yeah, i could like some rare items on rare chest. But not those Terraria items. I play it too, and, in my opnion, it makes no sense in Minecraft.
Minecraft wants to be "realistic" by nerfing bone meal, so let it "realistic" by not adding a cloud to double jump.
Well minecraft isnt realistic or blocks couldent float, None of the hostile mobs would exist, or sleep through a night within 4-seconds, and the world wouldent be made of blocks!
I'd like this idea if the items are non-functional. More like trophies found in chests that you could just use to decorate your house.
Once the items are functional or are used in crafting, then it becomes something that will need to be in every world, and people will complain about if they can't get it.
The most functionality out of these items, should be light source (glowing orb) or storage container (jewelry box). Things like Tapestries, Flags, small statues, mirror (reflective surface might make this a real pain though, not to mention the reflex of wanting to put 2 of them facing each other). Schematics for crafting recipes could be interesting, they act like maps that you can look down at, but mainly it'd be fun to put them in item frames around the house.

Well if they want it in every world they can just go to there other world and find it!.. Much like having diamond armour in one world and None Iron on another, also i will add all of your ideas.. Might take a while but i will add them, One quick thing, Tapestries are pretty much paintings, and i try to detail Objects and i am not an artist so i cannot Detail Tapestries Edit: Done, Are those any simular to your suggestions?

Notice the " " on the word "realistic".
