I personally like having a system that can run the game flawlessly but It does lack many things that the PC version has, however playing multiplayer with your friends is extremely easy compared to PC
If your computer can't handle the pc version and you don't have the money to upgrade your pc, then sure.

The Xbox version will continue to be updated, so don't worry too much about that. I have Minecraft on my phone, my computer, my laptop, and my Xbox. If you can run Minecraft on your computer fine I probably wouldn't get it. It's the same Minecraft we know and love, using an Xbox controller. For 20 bucks. You make the choice.
It's worth it because on the Xbox 360 there's almost no lag. The game runs very smoothly on my xbox and I have no problems. Running a server is easy because it's not a pc, but the only downside to servers on the Xbox 360 is that there's a max of 8 players on a server.
My reason for thinking it's worth it is almost the same, it runs really nice, I have it on PC and Xbox the main reason I got it on PC though was for YouTube (Signature takes you to my 1st Skyblock episode) and since I just have a old beatup office laptop I had to tweak the living hell out of it and use optifine on all the lowest settings and play on tiny, but at least that way it runs smooth xD
i know my english is not really good and I think my message is in the good place because i put it in beta survival and i can put font whenever i whant i did not done that post for getting hate but for getting feedback
It doesn't suck, just some people have no reason to get it, I got it to play with my friends and at the time I didn't have a personal computer.. But I still get on the ol' xbox and fire it up, I have a pretty decent world on there with a interchangable track train station, 10x3 wall cobblestone generator, skeleton mob trap, 4x4 water chute to bedrock, so it doesnt lack the creativity, just the free will
I think it is far more than worth it. It's more fun than some standard $60 Xbox 360 games and it only costs $20. It may be a bit behind the PC version, but there are benefits to it that the PC version doesn't have such as split screen, nearly flawless performance, and the comfort and convenience of playing games on a console (you can play this game in your bed!).
If you buy it, you probably wont be disappointed. If you are somehow disappointed, at least you only spent $20 instead of the standard $60 game.
NO! It is just a down graded version that updates slowly and has limited skins. The only good thing is that name plates look cool. I suggest just gettin' a beast computer and replace the XBox...
EDIT: and split-screen is cool...
I love being able to play on my xbox in bed, and on xbox I find it really easy to convert my friends to minecrafters, most my friends got xbox an not pc and if they have pc they have xbox too.
I have it for my ipad, my computer, and xbox, and I love all 3, but xbox is less laggy and easier to play multiplayer on, but has no creative, and it is like minecraft beta, and no mod support . So it really depends on what you want
If you have a buddy over you can play split screen, chill back smoke a jay or somethin and build some crazy shizz. I cant run minecraft on my laptop, but even if I could id prefer the xbox anyday. So what if there are some things missing? I'm still building some sweet stuff, and eventually there wont be much difference at all between the two. Patience is key my fellow miners... you arent gonna find those diamonds mining for 10 mins.
Very true they don't give you as much features on Xbox :/
