Ok. I am new.
Can anyone just tell that when will 0.9.0 release? (Estimated date or month according to developers)
I dont want to search other useless and bad sites that give half knowledge.
and will there be infinite worlds in 0.9.0?? This is not mentioned in the topic post I think.
0.9.0 will most likely come around may. Yes there will be infinite worlds.
Its not a normal cave but an experiment. Some sort of "underworld" that is between 0 and 50. Its not on PC, and I think it's a concept borrowed from terraria.
I would love for some sort of minecraft/terraria combination for future updates, but it seems that will never happen.
Wut!
Anyway, it's not an exclusive feature because for now it won't be even in PE, but if it was yeah, I guess it would be.
Right now they look kinda bland, but the final plan involved putting some kind of biomes in them. They're underworlds and not "really big caves" for a reason
Making new biomes and balancing everything is hard though, especially when we already changed so much stuff, so it isn't for 0.9 I'm afraid!

It seems this may come in 0.9.1 and not 0.9.0 as it isn't finished yet. I really hope there are some sort of obsidian dungeons in them or something.
They seem like an awesome idea; however, I hope they aren't extremely common, or generate only in certain biomes. I don't really want to be constantly mining into those (especially since the extra air would greatly limit the amount of ores that could be generated).

Maybe it could become a replacement for the nether reactor?
Hmm that's a good point, but I think it should be fine, especially since we will have larger worlds.
Even in legacy world sizes, there are a lot of ores ( I used PocketInvEditor to measure the amount of ores in a world, and there are thousands of each).
I think one of these per 256*256 block area would be nice. That way they feel relatively rare. The main purpose of this, I feel, is that Tomasso thought the block breaking speed took too long on PE, and people weren't able to build things underground. Now we have huge areas to build stuff.
Yeah, I'd have to agree with that. I just really hope they aren't too common, since that would take the fun out of them and ruin the overall typical Minecraft caving experience. It always makes unique features like this more 'special' if they aren't as common. Its like the Ice Spikes biome in PC Minecraft; its an amazing biome, and an awesome find; however, it is ultra rare, and that gives it a lot more special feeling when you do find one.
It will be awesome to now be able to build better structures underground without having to use external tools. I have tended to be a bit more inactive in MCPE than I would be, due to the more clunky controls and slow creative block breaking speed compared to PC.

The official tweet said it would come out in Q1, meaning sometime from January through March, but I guess they miss judged all what they where going to do
Yeah, they really need to add that soon.
They did do something for the slow block break speed though. If you're a certain distance away from the block, it breaks instantly. This way, you can walk and maintain the distance. A bit odd to explain though.
You could always use TNT to mine
Completely agree with the rarity point. It always makes it more fun to have to earn this sort of thing by exploring.
Personally, I hope the nether replaces the reactor
I think the only intensive thing about it are the mobs. I played a ported nether map and it was fine. I could be wring though: there may be something hard to implement about the portals.
Of course, since 0.9.0 is a busy update, I hope they push back the nether to the beta update.
i totally agree about the exploring point mcpe needs adventure and this the most obvious adventure update to mcpe
and it will be great thing to find and great for underground bases too just imagine it !

Yes... The nether... Excellent indeed. I really agree about that because you know? Excitement!
I will for one enjoy the underground areas because I like to make underground bases and that is very hard even in creative also I think this update will be the biggest ever even than 1.0.0 because that I'm guessing will most
likely be nether end and redstone plus various new mobs like dragon gast wither wither skeleton and magma cubes
On the wiki, it says that they will make an underground thing in 0.9.1. Does that mean that if I want that, I'll have to resist temptation from making my world infinite an/or a new world and wait till 0.9.1?
that is not real, if you walk in a straight line, you will end up at your starting point, they used server code to make invisible bedrock a portal to go to another place
Pretty sure it is real. You can't build in the spawn 256*256 area, but once you get to the bedrock and teleport, you can start building.
I wouldn't say it's real, more like "pseudo infinite worlds."
Anyways, Mojang posted some screenshots of the PC version. Now compare the fifth screenshot to this screenshot. They look pretty similar. If you look at the first few images, it looks like you might be able to customize your worlds in the PC version. And:
The Imgur album is called "Prototype Friday."
_tomcc: "so have a pic of a Friday experiment!"
It should be able too considering it is a dual core, albeit a rather slow one.
So if i put the render distance a bit lower, like Medium, would it work lag-free? (I always have it set to Far, unless i'm playing a ported map, because then it's laggy)
I think 0.9.0 will be the most important in terms of features, but I also think the 1.0.0 update will have the most features. I expect that (speculation here) it will include the new sounds and music, as well things like the Nether and the End, as well as polishing and finalising everything introduced in 0.9.0.
As for 0.9.0; its really surprising just how big of an update it is.
New terrain, new mobs, new AI... Its huge.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. I don't think the devs are gonna be able to add the nether AND the end in one update. (I know you said you only speculate that) maybe the nether by 1.0.0 or later, but the end? A long time from now, maybe 1.3 beta or something like that
LifeBoat Infinity is basically a rip-off of infinite worlds. What they did is used this server plugin where you can make invisible portals.(it's on most servers) So what they did, is they made one world, that's where you spawn, and then using that portal plugin they made invisible portals all around the edges of the world that lead to another world. So it's not infinite.
Probably. It shouldn't lag too much even on far. If you lower the render distance there's less stress on the GPU ( the thing that draws everything on the screen), but there's still strain on the CPU ( the thing that generates the worlds while you walk around, and processes the AI etc).
To be honest, my first comment may be wrong anyway. It should run it fine.
Hey, that's what we all said about 0.9.0
Now look, infinite worlds, new biomes, new mobs, villagers, etc.
And from what the devs keep hinting, 1.0.0 will be even bigger.
And to be honest, adding the terrain of the nether amd the end probably isn't the hard part. The hard part will be the portals.
I think they will add both cos it will sort of "complete" the survival experience, just in time for beta.
BTW, I have the older version of the iPad Mini, not the one with retina display.
But anyway, what I'm saying is it's gonna be hard to implement the end because of the ender dragon. It is a HUGE mob, and it will probably lag your device if you have a smartphone instead of a tablet. The nether won't be that hard, most of the nether-related items are already in the game, we only need soul sand, quartz ore, nether wart, and the mobs that you find in the nether other than the zombie pigman we already have that. (Also if I'm wrong, then sorry. I don't know a lot about the chips and cores and stuff like that in devices.)

There's a chance with all the new world options and stuff, but maybe they were just trying to implement an exclusive feature?

he said it was a underworld.

(#MCPEcontrollerSupport.......just saying :P)
Yes, we need controller support.

0.9.1
Well, how about the parkour players, like me? How are we gonna get used to that?
