Hi everyone, this is my first post (after frequenting these forums a lot, I decided to make an account).
So, I have a question:
Is there any way to make stone invisible or turn it into something see-through, like glass? I've tried a couple of things and neither of them worked.
I edited terrain.png so that the texture space for stone was empty, this resulted in stone being a black void. (Didn't think it would work, but I gave it a shot anyway).
Also, I attempted to hex-edit all the values for stone to glass after seeing a video tutorial for it. This had no effect whatsoever after multiple attempts.
Try invisible bedrock, completely see through.... They're the blocks that surrounds the map also prevents you from going farther. And the black void is because stone isn't given a special code thingy that makes them transparent. So nothing = black color
That's good to know, the cause of the black void. Also, invisible bedrock would be good, but not for the purpose I'd like it for.
I'm trying to amass ores on my game. I'd like to be able to see them through the stone so I know where to dig, obviously. I feel I have to do it this way because I've tried to edit things in using IMCPEdit, but that completely scrambles my world to pieces. When I look at it, it's fine. When I multiplayer with someone else, they get a chopped to pieces version of my world with gigantic slabs missing, blocks misplaced everywhere, and general mayhem.

I tried the same thing but it didn't work. I was trying to turn stone to the glass texture but it was just black
That's the problem. I'm on the IOS version and saw the android x-ray mod and thought it was cool. Doesn't exist for IOS though so I'm going to assume either IOS is much harder to mod than android, or the android version just has more modders, or some combination of the two.

I'm not sure, but I think its a combination of the to. Anyways, I can't think of any mods that would help. You might be to create a texture pack for it. I think people have made an invisible texture for Steve. I don't know if you would be able to see other ores though.

Effects
* Only you can see the glass
* Other people who join you will see it as stone
* If other people destroy it with a pickaxe nothing will drop

No, but why would you want that? Also, anyone who has this mod can use it, its client side so it works on servers.
