We all know how many controls it takes to play Minecraft. You have to be able to place blocks, destroy blocks, jump, walk, look around, pause, change the block in-hand, and go to the block menu.
I doubt having all those controls on a phone with only a touchscreen would be a pain to both play and code.
Please consider this when suggest the game for other phones.
Well, also if its a Iphone or some phone where it doesn't have a QWERTY, it would be awesome if Mojang could produce a add-on to plug into the phone for minecraft pocket edition. Like 2 handles, a pad for the buttons, and a connection port to hook up to the phone. Although it probably wont happen, that would be stella.
It's nice, but it's buggier than normal minecraft, and also has the infamous Lagspike of Death
will it run on the htc evo 3d? I just stuck my iphone 4 in a drawer after getting it lol minecraft would be the icing on the HTC cake for me :smile.gif:
Well my phone is touch but it have like a keyboard. so i hope its comming to my phone.
Also : Maybe a third party could make these controllers? Something like the iControlpad?

Yea it works on the evo 3d, but it still lagspikes randomly sometimes
In my opinion the smartphone market is pretty much just Android and iOS head to head. So, the OP is technically correct because outside those two and maybe that ugly PSX phone, the program won't have many mobile options left lol.
That being said, this is why Java is awesome, you can port it to nearly anything with minimal effort compared to other avenues.
they said in a magasine i have:
"we were thinking how it would be to play minecraft pocket edition on normal non controllers mobiles, to go: two fingers on screen and the other one to look around" and then i got a idea:
to place blocks you hit the screen with a finger, to remove it, you dubble hit the screen and then keep it untill the block breaks =)))
The reason there isn't going to be much other phone ports is because Mojang AB has difficulty enough already with planning out their work, hence why 1.8's official release date is always changing.

All these pony-based signatures aren't going to win these people any respect.

That ugly PSX phone is running Android, Android 2.3 to be exact :wink.gif: and it's called the Xperia Play. iOS only has one phone, Android has tons of capable devices, so it will be going to many phones. If you have a smartphone, you generally have one of 4 things, slowly becoming three, then down to the main two, Android and iOS.

Then why are you posting in the area of the forum dedicated to the mobile version? Go troll somewhere else.
Anyways, no, it will be coming to most other Android phones, as Mojang has stated. And you would be supprised how well touch screen controls work.
