Recently my minecraft hasn't been working. Whenever I try to launch from the launcher it says 'Cannot connect to minecraft.net'. I have tested my internet, checked my clock, and installed Java again. But none of that seems to be working. And instead of showing news on the launcher it says this...
<html><body>
<center>Failed to update news java.net.SocketException: Invalid argument: connect</center></body></html>
And when I try running on the in browser it says...
Java Plug-in 10.5.1.255
Using JRE version 1.7.0_05-b05 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
User home directory = C:\Users\*****
----------------------------------------------------
c: clear console window
f: finalize objects on finalization queue
g: garbage collect
h: display this help message
l: dump classloader list
m: print memory usage
o: trigger logging
q: hide console
r: reload policy configuration
s: dump system and deployment properties
t: dump thread list
v: dump thread stack
x: clear classloader cache
0-5: set trace level to <n>

for the launcher issue, depending on which operating system and security software, a number of different things can cause that. first thing to try is deleting the launcher and getting a new copy.
for the browser problem, what you have there is just the java console. the game itself runs in the browser window.
without more detail, as in operating system and security software, it's pretty hard to pinpoint the issue.

I've tried downloading the browser again, nothing seems to be working...
