I have an awful problem, ok so here is the story: I was starting to make Minecraft let's play some time ago, okay i uploaded 5 episodes and then my PC broke. So it's been like 2 months now since that happened, and i bought a new PC, with Intel Core i5, Nvidia GeForce GT 540M 2GB video card, Win7, 6GB memory and 640GB HDD. So i waited till 1.8 and now it is officialy out, and i start filming, start a new world, well you know, it's episode 6 gotta get my stuff and so on, and i kinda failed at the beggining, the sound didn't record :biggrin.gif: But i sped it up, and now every now and then, my screen freezes, i can still hear minecraft at the background but my screen is frozen, then i stop the recording and check the video, but in the video everything is ok, everything is moving and, yeah so i continue filming, everything is ok, and then it happens again, i close and open minecraft and continue, but it is really annoying! Please help me :sad.gif:
Btw you can check out mah let's play, gonna upload this episode what i was talking about really soon :wink.gif:
But really please tell me what to do :sad.gif: I'm planning to do an hour long episode for my 50 subscribers, but it would be really annoying if this would happen all the time!
I put this in 1.8 cuz it didn't happen to me in 1.7.3 and in any other version! Even with mods, everything was ok, i think it might be a problem from 1.8 :sad.gif:
Probably better to check with whoever makes the software you're using to capture video. See if you set it to capture the whole desktop, instead of just the minecraft window and see if your results vary.
Had this same issue back in the day when I had a laptop plugging into a TV, and used screen duplication. The video would be black on the laptop, but play on the TV.

Well i have minecraft in windowed mode, but fraps records it full screen, i dunno what could be wrong :sad.gif: Should i press F11 to put Minecraft itself in fullscreen?
make sure you are using the most up to date version and that the options are adjusted for your computer.
Minecraft is up to date, maybe it could be problem with java, or you mean fraps up to date? And where can i find options for fraps? And how do i know which options are right for my PC?
sorry, meant Fraps. They have do a lot of bugfixes pretty often. As for the options just click on the tray icon and the options will come up. They are located in different tabs. You just need to mess with them till you find the right combination. They aren't very complex. So are extremely hard to mess up.

Ummm, the options are minimize, maximize, restore, size and move, did i click it the right place?
No. Click restore or maximize then movies. That should get you the options you need to configure. Or rightclick the system tray icon and settings then movies. It will be on the tab bar in the fraps window.

It's the same, and what options am i looking for? What is the system tray? It's the fraps logo at the left upper corner?
Im sorry if im dumb but im not the best at these things :sad.gif:
You are looking for this screen in fraps.
Make sure you have installed the newest version of Fraps. I don't know much about the old versions.
Adjust the different options. Especially the one for sound.
I think the most recent updates have full support for windows vista and 7. Older versions didn't fully support them.

checkmark the record sound box.
Select the detect best sound input.
see if there is anything listed in the blue box below that.
uncheck all the boxes below the blue box.
Under video capture settings set your it to fullscreen.

do you run minecraft from the exe or jar file. If you are using the exe then maybe try the jar file. If you are using the jar file then try using the exe. I ran into this before , a long time ago though , when minecraft wasn't assigned enough memory in its startup parameters in the jar file.
i take it you are using the 64bit version of windows. go to java.com and download the 64bit version of java and uninstall the old version and install that one.
I really don't know how to help you on this one. Hopefully someone else will help.
