The turtle id is at the top of the aspects code iirc. To get the turtle id you need to go to the turtle and type in "id" thats the number which needs to be in the computer program.
In aspects -
local turtleID = 40
turtleID should match the turtle's ID that you are using
Thanks!! I watched Direwolf20's coding explanation video and figured the ID part. I am up and running. Already got all of the Ichorium tools. Man, did that take a while. . .almost 4 hours. Thanks to the ubber miner, I had all the diamonds I needed.
I think he is still playing with his automated Alumentum setup. Not sure he is going to be successful. I cannot seem to get a net gain with all that is going on. I tried to feed charcoal to the automated alchemy via my Steve's Carts farm and charcoal to the essential furnace from the Steam Boiler. The Steam Boiler can keep up with the demand, but the Steve's Cart farm is running a deficit. This is even after expanding it to keep up with the Steam Boiler demand for wood. The expanded Steve's Cart Farm was handling the Steam Boiler demand without the Alumentum, so I reverted for now.
Updated: I allowed the the ender chest to fill up with Alumentum and keep the one stack of charcoal. I also feed the automated Alumentum system with charcoal only from the Steam Boiler. I determined that there is about a 2 piece charcoal deficit per Steam Boiler cycle. This is after the automated Alumentum system slowed down due to the full ender chest. I believe the issue with Direwolf20's efficiency calculation is he does not account for the Alumentum to run the essential furnaces.
Update 2: Swapped Steam Boiler with Induction Furnace (attached lever to keep it heated at 100%) and it is able to keep up nicely. I will report back to see how the Steve's Cart Farm is keeping up.
Dire, I'm not complaining, but when will you put up the Ep. 50 download? I really want to explore all those cool toys that you made. Hopefully you can upload it soon!
I posted this in the YouTube comments of Eps 49 but I thought I'd post it here too to see what people think.
Could you not keep the computer and turtle being moved by the MFFS field, but modify the devices as follows:
The computer, just after it issues the move command to set the redstone to trigger the MFFS, execute an os.shutdown() to turn off the computer and hopefully kill the thread before it moves. It'll be restarted after it moves.
The turtle, after it replaces the keystone in the portal frame, execute an os.shutdown() to turn itself off. It'll be restarted after it moves.
I will be trying this on my version of the uberminer, though I'm not sure where I would go to look to see if threads are still being left behind. If someone could tell me where to look, I would appreciate it.
Edit: Never mind. The os.shutdown() works as far as shutting down the computers before they get moved, but they are not automatically restarted after the move. They are as if they had just been placed in the world and are not active until I actually open them. Plus, if I had paid more attention, I would have see that Direwolf20 had tried this exact solution (the code is commented out in his turtle).
Therefore, I also went with his turtle method to control the mining platform.
For your amusement, I present my heavily documented version of Direwolf20's Uberminer control turtle and keystone breaking turtle.
I added in some code so you can refuel your controller turtle from your control chest, if you want. For the keystone breaker, you should just give it a stack coal or two.
Trying on my single player world setting up the DW20 Automated Essentia with the ComputerCraft screen. Seem to have it all setup and ready but when I run the Aspects command all I get is this error:
aspects: 30: java.util.HashMap cannot be cast to java.lang.String
Can't seem to fix this. Got all updated mods from the DW20 pack.

is the a config download i am missing somewhere?
having some ID miss matches, and it would be easier to download the configs than to edit them all by hand
EDIT: Deleted the pack folder and redownloaded the mod pack. fixed it.

Not sure if this is where to post this but I've run into a NullPointerException that causes the game to crash to desktop upon loading the world. I pasted the following in the chickenbones thread as it appears to be multiparts causing the crash but I am also going to post it here for thoroughness.
While running the Direwolf20 FTB pack I've encountered a pointer exception that appears to be related to microblocks.
I was flying around in bat form (Morph) with a cherry wood cover in my hand getting behind my machines to break a connection. It crashed just as I got behind them and now crashes on load.
EDIT: Found the source of the crash, it's interaction between microblocks and transfer nodes
Ummm just downloaded the newest world download (up to date with ep50) and well i go to turn the uberminer on and well it works just fine but after about going through mining bout 3 or 4 blocks ahead the chasis pipe under the ender chest just refuses to extract any items at all and so the uberminer just shoots out a ton of stuff everywhere cause the chest is full of stuff, anyone know how to fix?

Did you check to see that the system isn't backstuffed and still has room to put everything it's trying to sort? Check your ME drive bay, see if any lights are red, that indicates a drive is completely full. If all the lights are orange, there isn't room for any more types of items (non-stackable items with different damage values or metadata each count as a single type).
Also, the chest for ore processing might be filling up, even with all the overclockers in your macerators. The extraction pipes under the induction furnaces are only operating at one speed, after all, and might need to be upgraded.
So I've shamelessly copied Dire's UberMiner design and found, that by using gates you can get rid of the turtles all together:
I did something similar with his first uberminer that used RedPower frames. Got rid of the computer, and replaced the controls with RP2 gates and bundled cables. Still needed the line of turtles though.
I was playing around with the uberminer and decided to give Applied Energistics a try. After all, it has the ME Level Emitter. What I did was hook up a storage bus to the enderchest, feed an ME Controller power (I used a creative energy cell for testing), and placed the ME Level Emitter pointing at the Force Manipulator, having it set to emit a restone signal when a certain item is in it. Seems to work without crashing or anything popping off so far.
Note - the Turtles were left behind because I had my inventory open and was moving an item when the MFFS moved me, and crashed the game. That's a potential crash bug to look out for.
I have downloaded episode 50 and have put it into the save file of the direwolf20 pack file but once i have loaded the game the world doesn't appear and I can't play it. Please can anyone help.
Did you make sure to extract "Episode 50" into the "saves" folder?
What kind of jars do you have against the peripheral proxys? Warded Jars or Void Jars? There is a difference between them where Warded Jars have that method and Void Jars do not. Back a couple of pages in the forum, there was a fix to the code to take these two jar types into account.
Into the Itemducts it simply does not work!
I tried the output slot to be gray, and Orange, doesnt happen anything
First, make sure the extruder is set to orange on the side that you want to extract from. Then you have to make sure that your itemduct is set to extract mode by hitting the connector with a wrench so it turns red and looks like an arrow pointing away from the extruder. You don't need to have a pneumatic servo installed as the extractor auto-ejects.
So now the only issue is how do we fix this because I dont know?
I'm assuming that line 107 is the one with the clearTable() on it. You are partly right. There is a setTable function as the first function in the api that you posted, but there is no clearTable so that is likely what it's complaining about. Use a newer version of the button api. (http://pastebin.com/z0FBM6wd).
i downloaded the map for ep50 when i try to start it i get errors saying the ic2 config files have the wrong numbers, does anyone know how to fix this?
I would guess this to mean that you are not on the FTB Direwolf20 1.0.18 pack or you have updated IC2 independently of FTB. I would start by checking your mod pack. Make sure it's 1.0.18 and you haven't installed a newer version of IC2.
It was a version problem then HashMap (was testing a later version of Thaumic Tinkerer)
All working so far until the actual scanning of the mana beans. They go into the Aspectalyzer then back to the chest but no mention of aspects on the turtle and the tooltip of the beans still say unknown.
I have tried scanning everything to get all aspects known and even tried spawning in the cheatsheet thaum book.
Then all aspects know but still the turtle doesn't seem to either scan or register the beans right.
I have tried from DW20 pack from v18 back to 14 and all the same
Something to note about running the uberminer in Direwolf20's world 50 download. While he has the best redstone cell that you can make, the uberminer consumes more power then his engines generate. Running it for a long period of time (more than 30 minutes) will likely drain the cell dry and you won't have any power for your base.
I'd suggest maybe running it for 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off to make sure you don't run out of power.
Into the Itemducts it simply does not work!

Make sure you meet these four requirements
1. Make sure the itemduct is set to "red output" mode.
2. A redstone signal MUST be applied, or you can use a pneumatic servo to change redstone control.
3. The extruders must be set to "orange output" mode.
4. The itemducts MUST be connected to an inventory or it will not pull the items out.
