Hoping to wrap this up sometime this weekend. I'm about 40% done right now, got the base model completed. Working on detailing the exterior and then need to install the below-deck casino!
Here is my fifth hour of progress on my version of the blackjack. Hope you're learning something about criticism and how not to be a douchebag little white knight. Nonetheless, I'm actually enjoying building this. Thanks for being a **** and asking me to one-up this build.
Here we have the finished product. Total time: 7 Hours.
No, the interior is not complete. There'd be no room for it.
As for Nctsharks, I hope you learned a lesson! The argument "Then why don't you do better" is not valid, and is a completely douchebag thing to say. Constructive Criticism isn't an invitation for Competition or a sign that the critic is insulting the OP about their inferior building skill. It is an invitation for Improvement and is meant to be a positive remark. always make it a learning experience.

Dear random dude that decided to "one-up" my build because he thought someone -else- was being a douchebag:
I appreciate your concern over the matter. And as they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Your ship looks pretty cool, but I must beg to differ on the dimensions. I modeled my blackjack from the official Square art released in the instructional manual with the game.
And furthermore, its still far from complete. The last picture I posted was at about 40-50% completion.
Ironically, after comparing the art to my initial pictures even more, I find the true Blackjack to be even fatter than my work, and easily 2-3 times bigger than your model.

And that is where we differ in builds. I based mine off of a Combination of both the In Game Sprite and the CGI renders from the Animated Trailer they made for the PS1 port of the title.
Frankly, I think following the 'official art' is a little silly. If Amano had his way, every male character would be in Panties and loincloths, and wildly different from the characters you see in the game. When it comes to Final Fantasy, most people only care for the In-game stuff, which is what I assumed you were going for. My mistake. Nonetheless, I think it was deserved that the jackass learn a lesson about dismissing criticism because the critic may or may not lack the ability to do any better than what the original builder has made. Didn't mean to throw off the topic or what have you. Just trying to make a learning experience for an idiot who doesn't understand the purpose of Constructive Criticism.
I guess it was also a good excuse to pick up building the airship, because it's one of my all-time favorites from the Final Fantasy series, and I had been wanting to make it for a loooong time now. So I did. In less time I could have ever imagined possible for me. Seriously, 7 hours has to be a record! This is also the first time I ever built an airship altogether. So I guess I'm more impressed with myself now that I've done it... and knowing me, I'll never make another one as good again. Oh well.

I don't think posting "It's a bit... Fat." and nothing else exactly qualifies as constructive criticism, which you seem to be heralding as if it were the critique of the century. Constructive criticism typically involves some sort of praise alongside an invitation to change or modify the product. I'm not advocating the comment 'then make a better one', as that is also silly. But please drop the paragon-of-critiquing-excellence bit.
Also it is not attractive to see you patting yourself on the back in every post. "I'm so impressed with myself" "Wow can't believe it only took me 7 hours, this has to be a record!"
I've posted my projects on several forums and by far, this forum is the most negative. It sucks that the official minecraft forum is one of the worst communities for sharing. This topic just broke the camels back on my decision to no longer post here and stick to other places. I honestly have not had a single positive experience here that wasn't marred by situations like this.

Well, I said it looked fat being that we weren't on the same notion that you'd be making it closer to the In-game model... In which case you should agree that the blimp half is quite bloated and stout. The observation should have tipped you off that perhaps you need to lengthen the blimp, or narrow it out a little more, but again... You're building a different version of it. in which case, yeah, you're pretty accurate to it. Again, you seem to be missing the point that this is a misunderstanding and you shouldn't be so offended. I never made claims that my Four Word Critique was superior to all other. I had only said that dismissing criticism is wrong.
Come now, certainly you hold pride in your work, let alone, understand your limits and skill as a builder. Should this role be reversed, and you had taken on a challenge to build something you have never done before, in a time shorter than it takes most others to build who HAVE the talent to do so... You wouldn't be impressed with your growth in building? If you don't, then... well, okay. You're like every other artist these days who are constantly dissatisfied with their own works. Completely normal.
And as for your experience on the forums, you seem to be a little high-strung. Taking your work too seriously, or atleast sharing with the intent of a completely positive response is a little absurd. I've looked through your other works... Figaro Castle, South Figaro, Doma Castle, The Opera house, Narshe... They look absolutely AMAZING! I have no idea why you seem to believe sharing them here is a bad decision. I would be sorely disappointed if you took to posting to a less-populated forum, because frankly, your work needs to be shown! I would likely wet myself if you took on building Vector, let alone Kefka's Tower.
Honestly, you seem to be ignoring that I DO enjoy your work, and that I have nothing against you, nor your talent as a builder. I am the one who was wrong. I didn't know that you've been referencing the original artwork from the instruction manual. As you can tell, the image of the Blackjack varies from In Game to Concept Art. As I have said a few times before, I thought you were going for the In-Game sprite, as opposed to the one you chose. My comment previously that it is too fat is no longer valid on such grounds. It's not the same thing. You're doing just fine, and should continue.
Just relax a bit. We all play the same game. We're all friends. I suppose it's hard to read a paragraph the way it was meant to be read without hearing the tone of voice, the speech, of the one who wrote it through simply text... But one thing is certain: Your attitude directly reflects how you read what others say. A completely normal comment can be taken wrongly if you only focus on the negatives of what they have to say, regardless if it's intent and majority was wholly positive. I can't say enough! Your other FF6 Builds are PHENOMINAL. They are vastly true to the game and I am impressed with the level of detail and scale you build them to. You ARE a good builder, and you shouldn't think that a few strangers online demean that.
So I hope you have a good day. I look forward to seeing the walk-through.

Alright.
Here's my progress so far.
Total time is about 3 hours so far. It's 2 am now, so if you'll excuse me, I'm going to bed.

Anywho, no hard feelings. Keep up the good work.
