Best I can say, short of me doing it for you, would be to drop my source in your eclipse setup and and compare to your table now, or drop it in and use it to create your block and container and gui, handler, recipe classes and such. Then copy my code and paste it to your classes and delete my source from the setup. Then you should only have errors to fix like changing the names of some things, creating your own recipes and such....this is exactly what I would do if I were doing it for you(which I wont).

Follow these courses from the first one and to the end.
Yes they will cover GUI's and rather advance ones too!
After that this tutorial will be SIMPLE as hell to follow!
Don't after what you said, you shouldn't apologize
When ppl copy-paste and it doesn't work, it's time for them to read and understand the code instead of expecting you to write it for them.
We as tutorial writers are here to GUIDE people towards becoming better modders, not to create mods for them!

While I fully agree with you, I sometimes have issues with letting it go like that. Mostly because I feel that there may have been something more I could have done, even though I know there is not. And you are absolutely right, this is probably one of the easiest GUI blocks to make. Aside from the need of the handler for the GUI's you could literally copy the vanilla table and change the names accordingly and it should be perfect. Maybe a tweak or two needed, but generally a copy of the vanilla should do ya. I also need to learn how to ignore the copy pasters that want to blame everyone for the tut not working, instead of taking the time to read through and then do. I read maybe 4 or 5 times through and then step by step complete the process, usually works. It helps me learn instead of copying the code and whinning about it later.
Really, the source is up for the 5x5, any issues from that can be solved by looking at the rest of the code....
Ya but its incomplete source -.- If your gonna post source you should post the textures and make sure that all the files are there. The source is bettertable/bettertable/etc in eclipse it says the source should be bettertable/bctable/bettertable/etc
Please put everything needed for the source not bits and pieces

This was never meant to be used for a stepping stone for your own mod. It was meant to be....hey looky here, this is how I put this together. If I gave the complete source files I would end up giving you 16 separate mods. And for the textures, they are just reworked versions of the original table in MC, with exception of the GUI. This is easy to do, though it is squeezed in.....If you must have the correct folder path, and so I dont have to re-upload the file.....This is where the mod is located....These are all separate mods, they just use the same folder structure, better table is what you want to get.
Please understand, these tables are a cinch to make, as well as furnaces. The hardest part is the GUI handler, and that is not hard at all. Patience, Understanding, and Thorough Reading the whole way through is all you need.

Ok I understand where you are coming from It's just for me I haven't been able to find GUI tutorial that is like from the basics and that is good! Do you know any tutorials for gui's like to get started?
Btw I have seen many of your posts and I got to say your talented For you sir! Please keep up the great work! We need more people like you the forums

I have seen a few older ones that may help, if I can find them I will send you a PM. They are in the archive section and by (not 100% on the spelling) asynchronus. She has some older ones that I had used when first starting, and I am not gonna spell it at all, but its German for blue squirrel, and he has some really awesome tutorials on GUI's as well, though again they are a bit older and some fixes would have to be made. Though most of the GUI fixes are easy using the @Override and also this. and a nice list will pop up with options for you and it should usually have it in the first couple of choices.
One last question microjunk do you know how to make multiblock structures because I havent been able to find a good tutorial for 1.6.2 that works. The only one I found was the one by minalien but it doenst work, mainly the textures and other issues. It was made for 1.5.2
If you know of any good tutorials for that stuff please pm me

That I dont know, sorry. The one should work you had found for 1.5.2, as there should not be many code changes between 1.5.2 and 1.6.2 for things like that....give it a try or link me and I will look at it and help you fix any errors....

http://minalien.com/...s-in-minecraft/ Theres the link and the one major bug I found is mc.renderEngine.bindTexture = ("/gui/furnace.png"); that bug I can't figure out how to get the bind texture to work.
I will take a look at it later and see if I can help you....
I have an issue. I have no errors, the blocks and everything work fine. When I go in-game and right click on the 3x3 crafting table I made, the GUI opens for like a tick and closes immediately. Help please? Amazing tutorials by the way.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A modded looking for dedicated (at least consistent) texture artists/modelers to make magic with! Not literally magic...but...mods! PM me...

In the container class, change the can interact with code to accept your block, right now it probably says Block.workBench.blockID

Works great now! Thanks! Furnaces are next for me..
Edit: Two more minor questions. How do the recipes work? They seem to be only pulling the vanilla recipes and other ones I have added before I made the crafting recipes for the new table. and how would I implement a custom GUI without adding it into the vanilla jar? I found where they were all stored and added mine in and it worked fine the only problem is I would prefer it with my block and item textures (all added with Wuppy's method using folders assets -> *modname* -> textures -> blocks, items)

For the resource location...use this..("modid":"/textures/gui/yourgui.png")....not 100% I dont have my stuff in front of me, on my way to work now.
