Howdy y'all. I'm new in town. Well, not exactly new to the whole CTM genre, but a newcomer to this, what looks to be, fine community. I've done been working on a CTM map of my own, one that is now part of a CTM series that I intend to so fancily call "Terra Nova". I made a nifty banner for it, too.
Here's a picture of my early work.
And another one, if you wanna spoil things for yourself. ;-)
Hello everybody! So I know a lot of people here aren't exactly a... "fan" of me, but I'd just like to pop in to say that there's an event being hosted on my CTM server, in which everyone who signs up for the event gets to work on one big area for the upcoming map "Septum Immoriel" by Fangride. We've set it up so that it starts on March the 8th, and (hopefully) ends on March the 15th. VoxelSniper and WorldEdit will be installed, and Fangride will provide plans and initial details in a Minecraft Forum Private Message. So, if anyone's interested in joining, quote this comment and provide in the comment, your Minecraft Username so that I can add you to the white list.
Thanks!

OOH, that sounds fun! ALVAROGUDIS
it's in caps, too.
hate me.
Guess who just got one area closer to his I1 betas! 8D
Lakeshallow Village is finished! (aesthetically)
Now i just need to aesthetically tweak Last Hold, and loot and spawner all of I1, then i can beta!
EDIT: Ok so I have now also finished the tweak to Last Hold, which was a pretty major one it turns out. Not because i changed a whole lot work-wise, but the gameplay of the area is now improved A LOT imo. Before it was based off a mechanic that just didn't add anything to the area, so i removed the mechanic and made it a normal area. Really it helps a lot. In doing so i removed The Cythral (if any of you remember that was sort of the antagonist in that particular area) so the story took a hit, but i can work around its absence.
Alright guys I just spent awhile editing my forum post, And I've changed my map series name. I still have to make a new banner though which won't take to long. Check It out and tell me what you think!
Intersection 04 of Remote District III.. It's abit generic, but I'd rather do this than the typical lava/obisidan intersections ... Insults? Feedback? ... :c
I do like how it looks, personally. Sometimes, I like to see a different theme for an Intersection 4 (or the final intersection) than a common hellish theme.

So a a general question for the people who are in charge of this thread, would monster hunter maps count as unique CTM's (uCTM) or just as normal ones in reviews? Also shouldn't there be some sort of rule as to not post a review on a map when it's in it's early stages? Because I looked at a few reviews recently, and I saw that some of them were bad when it was mostly just because the map was in it's early stages (I don't mean as in beta, but the first few versions of the full release, because also in those versions the map can be slightly unstable).

Do you really post this everytime someone new joins the community?
And when I was in school I found out that I can make something like Amulets with /execute which will give you buff. I have to do this now.

If we get enough, we can just make a Mob Hunter category. For now, I suppose uCTM fits.
And no - if a person is okay with reviews being posted, then it doesn't matter the stage. Most video games are reviewed upon launch state, and things go from there. Maybe re-reviews will hit if things are changed enough, but what we do here is even more generous than most video game reviews.

Looks quite nice, as does most of what you make. A few practical things I'd like to mention: A. are you going to have any signs in the middle saying which area is which, and B. are you going to light up the paths to the areas with glowstone so monsters don't spawn? Like I said, just practical things, it really does look nice.

Honestly I would count Monster Hunters as regular CTMs. There are enough of them around, and depending on the map the gameplay only slightly differs from regular CTM (see From Flames).
And I don't have an issue with people reviewing early versions of maps; that's why we have a field in the review format for people to put the version of the map it was reviewed in.

I don't know why you think this is generic, it's one of the most unique intersections I've ever seen. Don't change a thing.

Yeah, yeah ... it's a grammar error, not a spulling error. I know
Say what now?
I think that the text is too big and the colours seem a bit random, what about a gradient (as in each word is a different colour in the gradient)?

That looks very swish
