Probably nobody knows who i am in here, but i'm "back" after ragequitting LoL and having more spare time
Any good maps I missed, that came out since UT3? Just downloaded UT3 and started playing... Any more good came out?
LegendOfPickles, for snow I would suggest dark clay and light blue clay. Looks quite cool! And some ice of course, stone brick? Iron bars? Glowstone goes quite well, and some water is fine too.

It's a mini-map that takes a little while to complete. Try it out, I think it's reasonably challenging, especially in the start.

I feel weird for saying this to you right after saying it to Karrott last page, but I'd recommend Ragecraft II: Insomnia. It's very difficult and extremely big (took me 45+ hours, and from what I've read that was one of the faster times), but in my opinion, it's the best CTM ever made.
To put things in perspective, myself and soupbob have been the only two people to write reviews for the map, and we both gave it 29 out of 30.

Well, that sounds like a reasonable map... I'll try check it out ^^
I know RC 1 was great, and 29/30 is just.... wow. UT3 first i guess.... although... if it's the best ever made
So ya' know when I said I was making a map called Defiance? Yeah, well, I decided to scrap that idea and instead make...
...The Dreamer
The spawn (I used the same color scheme as Defiance because I liked it so much, and you can't collect any solid blocks from there)
The first area (This was snipped out of Defiance because I liked it so much)
Also the first area (This one is new) DAT MOODY LIGHTING...
And an excerpt from chapter 1:
After falling asleep, you awake into a dream. You are in a dark damp cavern. The overgrown vines hang down, blocking your view. A voice pours into your mind. This voice is like clanking brass, crackling fire, or a dying soul. "Hello dear dreamer. How nice it is to see you. Some call me the devil. I am referred to as the boogieman by children. You know me as the Nightmare. I drag dreams to the depths of hell before you see them, through them into a cast iron mold and melt them down into a tar of thoughts and emotions. Then once they have been molded to fit my desire, I let them harden in a desolate tundra of darkness. And it looks like tonight you have another nightmare scheduled! Actually quite a few nightmares are scheduled for tonight! aren't you so lucky! Hehehe... Sleep tight! Don't let the bed-bugs bite!" The voice fades from your mind, but leaves you shaken...
Obviously I'm still working on TSB, but I'm only working out the biggest flaws, so there is not a whole lot to do to keep me occupied.
Also, I'm like Etho in that I can't stick to just one project.

Well, I don't know. I've never played Desolate Dreamscape. But this one will be insane. Not difficulty insane (although it will be hard), but instead just insane insane. Like when you have a fever dream. Yeah, fever dreams are those super-amazingly-insane dreams. So like those.
Colors remind me of Monochrome from Animosity, but the bedrock looks ugly. Maybe take the pic from a different angle.

Hey hey
Time to revisit everyone's favorite subject again: Enchanting!
I don't want to go too deep into theorycrafting, so I'll simply explain what's going on in the screenshot. As you can see, enchanting items will now come with a resource cost in addition to enchantment levels. We're currently using gold ingots for this. Also, enchanting now separates requirements from costs, according to these rules:
The level requirement is calculated the same way as before. Max level is still 30
The cost is based on which enchantment power you choose (1 to 3)
One (randomly chosen) enchantment will be displayed in the tooltip
The random seed for enchantments is not reset until you enchant an item
Gaining enchantment levels have been made more expensive again, but you will not pay more than 3 levels when enchanting an item. Obviously repair costs in the anvil have been rebalanced to fit (notably renaming items only costs 1 level).
As always, work in progress. We'll begin snapshotting Minecraft 1.8 in January.

Was not intentional about the colors, and I did that shot to try to fit the whole area, but yeah fugly bedrock is ugly.

What do you think guys.
Well, this sucks for us, since to accommodate for the gold bars etc. we need to add more gold etc. Honestly, I hate this.

Maybe lapis instead.?
