Well, I was hoping people wouldn't be rude and just understand that I don't have all the time in the world to read the 2-3 previous pages, but oh well.

But has all the time in the world to stalk the Monumenta thread and post every 10 minutes?

So, basically, you're going to be rude and pompous, and hope that we won't be in response? How slowly do you read, anyway? If each forum post is, say, a paragraph or two, that's 60 paragraphs tops. Not a lot in my book.
Being a part of this community takes time and effort. If you're not willing to do that, don't do it, but please don't act like we're your slaves and we'll just do whatever the hell you want us to do. We have lives too, and we actually spend some of that time here, unlike you.

How is asking a question "rude and pompous"? I don't expect everyone to automatically do what I say, I never said that, I was hoping there would be one patient guy that would explain what's going on, not someone insulting me. Also, when did all this crap about "being a part of this community takes time and effort... we actually spend some of that time here, unlike you." start? I understand that being a part of a community takes effort, of which I am now dedicating, but there's no reason to be rude.
But has all the time in the world to stalk the Monumenta thread and post every 10 minutes?
I wasn't "stalking" it, I was only checking up, and almost every time I would check up, I would post. Besides, something there is actually happening, not here, where there is nothing really happening (as Zjarr nicely stated, btw). I'm allowed to be anxious about something, in that case, the member list. Oh, and also, reading one-two comments every ten minutes takes less time than 3 pages all at the same time.
Might I also mention that if someone had told me what was going on (Zjarr did, then you guys came along) it would've saved me a lot of time. I am not a slow reader, I was just hoping to save time.

Uh... it's rude and pompous because you assume that we'll do anything you ask us, with nothing to gain but you whining here? Also, if you were really going to be active in the community, then it would have done you well to read them, instead of asking us to do it for you.
Also, you pretty much just defined spamming a thread right there. If nothing's happening here, then why do you want to be active? Why do you care so much about time, anyway? You have all 1440 minutes in a day, that'd take ten, less than 1/100th of it.
Everybody calm the Flaming Frog of Replacement F-Word down. There's 0 reason to squabble over such tiny problems.
The CTM Topic we are now discussing is this: If you are going to make a map, is it better to start with a mini-CTM map for training purposes, or is it better to create a full 16 wool map to get the full experience of mapmaking? What did you do when you started mapping?

How is just telling you to read the previous pages rude? Also if you do not have time to read them others do not have time to summarize them; just go and skim through them. it is of my understanding that nothing to amazing happened over the last few pages except that one guy coming back. (
Uh... it's rude and pompous because you assume that we'll do anything you ask us AGAIN, I never said that, with nothing to gain but you whining here?I'm not whining, I was asking a question and defending the reason I posted it. Also, if you were really going to be active in the community, then it would have done you well to read them, instead of asking us to do it for you. You still don't get it. I was hoping a patient guy would come along and tell me, which would take about 10 seconds out of his time and give me 10 minutes of mine. HOPING, by the way.
Also, you pretty much just defined spamming a thread right there I wasn't spamming the thread, I was responding to a comment every time it was needed, and once or twice posting an anxiety comment. If nothing's happening here, then why do you want to be active? Because it's nice to get people's feedback from my builds, and to give feedback to others, along with just chatting normally, not pointlessly arguing. Why do you care so much about time, anyway? You have all 1440 minutes in a day, that'd take ten, less than 1/100th of it. Look at the last bold response of the last paragraph.
Stop, now. Move personal attacks elsewhere, and let's get back on the CTM topic.
I second this. Insulting my reading abilities came out of nowhere, along with you telling me I don't dedicate time to this thread, of which I am TRYING to start now, but I'm really starting to dislike this thread in general now.
PLEASE don't respond to me if you don't have anything nice to say. I don't purposefully make comments sound hostile, and I in no way think that everyone in this thread will do whatever I want. I have never said that. So please, think before responding. Thank you.

I started out by making 2 "test" maps which I did release (arcane asylum and the original dark world)just for basic feedback and practice. These maps weren't the most balanced maps in the world but were ok. I recommend making a full map for the full experience but you should work on collab entries first.
Edit also hi delthyn I'm orchard pleasure to see a new active member of this thread.

I started off with making a full-16 wool map, but I think it would be easier to make a few mini-CTM maps for training, then one or two big maps to get the full experience. Then, you can start releasing maps from there.

I still haven't released my own first map, but I would most likely seriously recommend doing a minimap. Much easier to finish and release, and you don't get burned

Skeeto has already asked that you stop, and now I shall ask the same. It is not a good idea to reply even though someone has clearly stated you do not.
You claim that you do not make them sound hostile, yet clearly, from the points of views of many of the others here, we can't help to read and think that you are talking with a hostile tone.
The claim that it takes 10 seconds to save 10 minutes from yours is also quite clearly wrong, as in order to sum up all the activity you missed, it would take the person dragging that out 30 minutes to read all of that, plus probably an extra 1-5 minutes to write up the post to type it up, depending on how fast they type. In your final statement at the bottom of your post, you claim that we need to think before responding. But really, who thinks here. Skeeto has already asked you to stop politely and maturely, and now I am asking you with a post who is also quite mature. While I do agree that Infamy could have acted a bit better in the situation, you do not have to act rashly in return. We all have to keep calm in the situation.
Infamy, while I do agree that he could have been more than capable of reading that on his own, to act rashly against him is not the spirit that we want here. We are a nice and inviting community. To act rashly against him is not how we act here.
But at the same time, Baked, you should not act rashly in return. This is not how the community shall be viewed and treated like. You may participate, but we need to make sure some of the members need to learn proper greeting methods
I would like both of you to think about your actions, and if anything of the matter returns, we as admins may have to talk further about it.
Okay, after reading through this page for a while, I have come to the conclusion that this has been taken too far.
Call me frustrated or angry, but I really cannot stand this right now. I have been dealing with horrible neck pains and stress, only to come back to this thread full of pointless insults and arguments. Save this for personal PMs, or don't insult each other at all.
Both of you are at fault. Both of you. Infamy, stop insulting Baked when he did almost nothing wrong. Baked, stop replying to Infamy. Simply replying to him would evoke more angry replies from him; no one wants that If you both do this simple task, then there wouldn't be a flame war of this scale or level.
I realise that it isn't in my permission to interfere with an argument like this, but I honestly am too stressed out to care right now.
