Testing things out in Voxelsniper for an area tentatively called Wasteland Blossom. I'm not going to use this, but I thought it looked pretty cool. It only took about an hour, which I'm really surprised by.
EDIT: Looking back, the stem looks weird in this angle. It's supposed to be a regular tree with obsidian things wrapped around the stem, not some kind of missing link between trees and rocks.
There ain't much left of the world these days. The gods have forsaken us, there's no denying that. But still you press on. For what? A chance to sift through the ashes one last time? The hope to one day be called a hero? Whatever your reason, you've got a lot of work to do. The corruption won't leave without a fight, so you better get started.

I actually think it looks quite good although it may be a bit bright with the redstone blocks, i can see why it might not be an area though

Those are actually huge red mushroom blocks, 100:14. I'm definitely going to be using the concept for an area, just not this particular piece.

Thoughts? Impressions? Feedback?
This is something I have been working on as a side project from TGP#2. Its going to be a network of caves with 8 monument items(no Intersections). Here is another pic as the player enters the area:

Needs a lot of erosion, but that looks pretty nice.
Aside from the great big round brush annoyance in the first pic-
I loves it <3 Keep it up dude

Every bloody CTM map series boasts that it's bigger, longer, and harder than other CTM series. It's almost as if it's a **** measuring contest. (bigger, longer, harder...)
when you make a comment like that I'd like to know why you think that? I know the one brushstroke on the right needs more erosion but I put a lot of effort into this area so I don't know why it's 'Rushed'.
The building looks great, it would be nice to have a closer screenshot though.
The landscape looks like it could do with some more work, the general shape of it is fine, it just needs some more work to remove the regularity of the giant ellipses carved into the cliffs. Maybe use some smaller brushes to dig out little holes everywhere and then some eroding to smooth the holes in with the rest. The /frag command is quite good for that.
Maybe add some shelves of grassy areas with trees on into the cliffs.
Thanks for elaborating I will definitely fix it up a bit.
I always comment on green pretty areas, takes me a while to understand areas with lava in But I basically agree with what Torien and you have already said, and the fact you said you won't use it stopped me from really saying much
You know, if you squint REALLY hard and have a good imagination, any area can be a green pretty area.
