Been working on some custom loot for a while, is there a way to remove the visible enchantment strings saying stuff like: Protection IV, but have the enchantment work?

Not Currently, you can use 1.6 attributes to give the same effect though
Well i want players not be able to see what enchantments an item has, only that it has them. Like a little easter egg. It can be crap, but can be very cool as well...
So, uh, I'm having some trouble with NBT tags. Anyone know how to stack mobs/entities using them? I'm trying to create a "boss mob" a la Amlup, but for some reason Sethbling's entity-stacking filter doesn't work properly for me, and the only other way I can find to stack mobs is to use an NBT editor.
edit and before this is labelled as off-topic: There are really no good nbt tutorials out there, and I figured that people who do mapping would be most likely to know. Also, when I searched the forums for help with nbt editing, one of the top results was this thread.
Those wool blocks are enchanted but don't show any enchantment text. I don't understand how it works since the guy says to remove the lore string but that wool block clearly has a lore text. I'll try and see if I can recreate it tomorrow.
It's really rather easy. I've done it by adding an enchant to the item, then hopping in NBTedit, changing the item to a wool block, and changing the enchantment ID to 100, an enchantment that doesn't exist yet. Then you can just add lore like normal.

It's just an empty ench tag_list on the item. It looks enchanted but it doesn't make any difference. I hope I could help.

It works as following:
You should have a tag named Properties.
In that tag, you need to create a new compound tag called Riding.
You copy the contents of the properties tag from the entity you want your entity to ride.
Then you stick that under Riding
Done.
Hope this helps
BTW i saw the same posts with the wool that gave me the idea, but those enchants don't work it seems like.
Hey guys ! Just finished playing with orange for a bit, I know this isn't ctm related but I wanted to get ur opinions on this. I know some people here are making oc.tc maps, Truly I don't trust EVERYBODY here, I trust most of u so I wont say my idea here in public, but I tell some people privately. I was just wondering would u guys like me to make a redstone verison as well for vanilla so we could all test It ? I feel that would help a lot with feedback, Just wanted to hear everyones opinions

So are you thinking TDM, CTW, DTC, or something else? And do you only need our help making the redstone version, or do you want to collab the whole thing? More details would be nice, but I'd understand why you wouldn't want to give them out.
Loose transition to something else oc.tc related...
I released the full version of Yukon today. Check it out here.

so guys while contemplating some map things and playing through legend of zelda ocaraina of time for the 17nth time or something, i got this idea, what if in my map each time there was a new dungeon i would introduce a new mob, and then that mob would be appear many times later on in the adventure and players woulld maybe have to develop ways to take them down efficiantly or quickly like in a traditional rpg
also what the heck are all these new things floating around here?
