hey guys awesome here, I mentioned this in episode 5 of the ctm podcast, But got no reaction. I was wondering since light gray wool is the only one left in my collab map, Should I go ask somebody, Host a contest or whatelse could I do to pick the last person ?
I would say contest, but as you guys said in the podcast, there are some advantages to both asking someone and holding something like a contest. Personally, I would prefer a contest. But if you want to get a guaranteed quality rating, you could probably just go ahead and pick someone.
Community Question: What would you rather see (+ is yes - is no) :
Open world sky
Open world underground
Hub map(like ED3 Except all area are already unlocked)
I want to create something unique

I'd say open world underground, I can't think of a single CTM map with that format, so I'd suggest you go for it
Heyhey So after a prompt from Eerie I decided to post some more information up about my WIP map on my thread. This time I've given a whole list of area names and my progress with them! Check it out if you're interested here.
On topic @hoodvire: I agree with Soupbob, don't like the obsidian or lava at all. The spikes are okay, but look a bit too rounded for such a sharp area. Also agree with Eerie in that I don't like the ground blocks. However, I like where you're going with it overall.
Love all the area names, especially "Checkmate". Gives that kind of feeling like it's the end of the game for you.

That's what I'm planning for my second map (still haven't even done a third of the first :P), and lemme tell you planning it out is REALLY hard.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
There ain't much left of the world these days. The gods have forsaken us, there's no denying that. But still you press on. For what? A chance to sift through the ashes one last time? The hope to one day be called a hero? Whatever your reason, you've got a lot of work to do. The corruption won't leave without a fight, so you better get started.
Curse you photobucket and your limited bandwidth... Now all of my pictures on all of my maps show the same pic that is in my sig... ugh, I hate stuff like that...
COMMUNITY QUESTION: In what ways could you use a horse in your CTM map?
Whats your theme? Mine will probably be mysterious and magical.
The theme of my entire series is exploring a realm destroyed by some evil incident/presence (haven't decided on the name yet) and piecing together clues about what happened and how to prevent another incident. This map will probably be the ruins a large civilization of miners who have settled a massive series of caverns. The player will explore their various settlements and make use of tools left behind by the ancient people.

Aima Caves Review: Difficulty: 7.5 Overall Enjoyment: 8 Aima Caves is the First CTM map that Vitto Had Made. It is very astonishing for the first try of CTM map making. Rather than focusing on the aesthetics side, he focused on gameplay side a LOT more. This map is Medium - Hard, I do not recommend this map for CTM new comers. However, for experienced players, this is a map that you should DEFINITELY check out!! Vitto is very creative too, every area has a unique theme, and there are custom monsters, custom loots with Humorous explanation as well. Each intersection gets harder and harder, so.. prepare to DIE! ( and you will )

I hope you like castles, it will be the theme of the last monument piece
(though, I'm totally stuck on gameplay ideas for this area... suggestions are welcome)
-derpsnipped-
That is amazing! (I would spoiler it though just for the people who have bad internet connection, that many pics is hard for some to load.)

first pic: Armored skelotin spawners with swords
second pic: Charged creepers and zombies
third pic. Pitfall into lava trap along with blaze and skellys
forth pic: skellys and blazes on top and wither skelotins on the bottem\
This is what i would have done (this it the black wool... right?) for a castle like this
That's not gameplay. I have custom mobs galore already.
Gameplay for me: Anything extra that does not involve killing mobs. (Falling traps are a bit redundant)

Don't make the area have insanely powerful mobs, but rather huge amounts of weaker mobs, it would be fun to mow down giant hordes of zombies and spiders
