The Wraithshadow is comprised of a skeleton wearing enchanted gold armor riding a blaze. Both are invisible, but the skeleton is permanently on fire. The Wraithshadow Helm, Carapace, and Tendril all have a small chance of dropping from the skeleton part, whilst a vial of Wraithshadow Ichor has a higher than average chance to drop from the blaze part. Both mobs have extra health and potion buffs.
Side notes: The enchants/potion effects on the items are subject to change, as you'd expect. One strategy I've come up with for taking these guys down is to focus on taking down the blaze at the start, then get in close and melee the skeleton half. These guys are actually quite fun to fight, and will prove a challenge over harsh terrain. Also, sorry for the less-than-stellar angles with the screenies, they're pretty hard to get a picture of in creative, as they don't look at you. :/
How did you basically make my special mob that I made for Dungeons and Drainage 2, but showcase it better than I did? >.> Invisible Skeletons riding Invisible Blazes!
I'm not trying to provoke you. You just provide points and have absolutely no evidence towards them. I'm putting holes in your logic because it is fun and you get mad like this over it.
As you may have noticed, Hibin, sarcasm isn't very obvious in text form. It just looked like you were tripping yourself up unintentionally. That's not to say I didn't notice the sarcasm; we've all come to expect it from you. I pointed out your mistake in that sentence as a way of irritating you. And it looks as though it worked.
The ol' troller switcharoo eh?
Well it turns out I had had a switcharooswitcharoo up my sleeves and I was bargaining to get get a response out of of you!

So, it's a switcharooswitcharoo? So, that's like switching it around and then switching it back?

Every bloody CTM map series boasts that it's bigger, longer, and harder than other CTM series. It's almost as if it's a **** measuring contest. (bigger, longer, harder...)
I always look forward to Krose v Hybran bickers Like an old married couple.
How can you call them married? They don't have engagement rings.

at this point the Hybran v Witty thing is just lols. xD

We should get back on topic again before the janitor cat comes along. So, has anyone started on any big builds for their maps lately? I started building a Spider Robot inspired by Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge.

Im currently working on a huge castle for my mini map, does that count?
Hey what tools do you guys use to make big castles, im trying to figure out if there is an easy way to make a castle without placing every single block, (Yeah i have World Edit but i mean something easier)
Heh. Heh. Y'know what? Just to one-up good ol' Dargo here, every area in TCOMH is gonna have a unique custom mob. >:3
I would say don't overdo it, not to try and stop you from doing that, but because a full custom mob for each area could make them all just blend together and be forgettable. "Too much of a good thing is a bad thing."
@Drago
That looks awesome! Maybe a little OP tho if you don't have fire resist (yes I see that they drop fire resist). Resistance on that potion may be a little too strong as well. Given that I have no idea how hard your map will be!
I'm going for medium-hard with DsD, but I wasn't planning on having these guys show up until a bit later in the map (a low-level spawner in I03 as a tease, and more full spawners in I04/5). Testing will definitely have to be done to try and get everything balanced, but right now I'm satisfied with the placeholders.
Hey so new topic here, not that the wraithshadow wasn't completely awesome and made me regret coming out of my hole in the dark on MCedit where i can believe I'm the best map maker in the world and no one can stop me cause i'm here all alone and now ill have to make a custom mob FOR EVERY FREAKING AREA I DO just to match up to this.
Aw, don't have that kind of attitude. It makes me sad. (Also read what I said to Infamy about having lots of custom mobs.)
It's pretty much a fact of life that no matter what you do, someone else is always going to do it better at some time or another. When I look at some of the more aesthetically-perfected maps like Ragecraft and... well Ragecraft, I can't help but feel intimidated because it looks so damn perfect. The key in shaking that feeling is to stop comparing your work with others', at least for a while. If you get to a point where you feel like you really need to improve your skills, or someone else notices that you could use improvement, that's when you either, A. look at someone else's map that has some features you'd like to have in yours, or B. get advice from us here at the CTM Community, or any other Minecraft-centered community for that matter.
Speaking of which, we haven't seen any pictures of your map yet. I'd be interested to see how it looks, since you seem pretty proud of it.
To Greener Pastures has reached 1000 DLs! I am so very grateful for all of your support and your help in the creation of the map. Expect many more things to come in the near future ie a Dev com and TGP#2!
Congrats! It's nice to see new CTM maps gaining traction with the map-playing audience.

jk, I swear I didn't know about your custom mob when I made the Wraithshadow. I think I have a bad habit of coming up with original ideas too late, at which point they aren't really original any more...

What I do is build the main "building block by hand, which is usually a chunk of wall. Then I use Mcedit to copy it around to make a wall. Try using worldedit to make most of the rough skeleton of your castle and then go in game and add the rest by hand. I use 1.2.5 so I can have a normal version of ssp, so if I want to use a 1.5.1 block (quartz) I add a block that I won't use (sponge) finish the castle, and then upgrade to 1.5.1 and use mcedit to change all sponge blocks to quartz. Hope I helped a little.
