Since I had no knowledge of command blocks and new mechanics. I was wondering if you could make it so people spawn with glass on their head and leather armor. When they take off any piece of armor they take suffocation damage.

Ok Ideas
Picture #1- Glowstone isnt the way to go, or at least full glowstone, put some block variation and stuff in the hall dont just make it look like its a world editied cave with a flat glowstone floor.
Pictures #2- Ok i like your initial idea, but add some area lighting, enough to keep mobs spawning but light makes areas look a hell of a lot better. Maybe add glowstone in the celing or like use redstone torches or something that gives the same light levels as redstone torches

Picture Set #3- I really think this picture looks good jsut make sure that you include celing lighting like u did in the second pic, and maybe put lava somewhere.
Picture Set #4-Dont just make it look like a boring cavern. Give it some... Oomph something that makes it unique to all other areas maybe a massive ravine that cross-sectinos the area, or something cool like that or a custom mob that dwells in little houses, and make the areas bigger
Pictures Set #5- Love it. I would love to see and area full of these awesome trees but maybe change the tree types around and maybe creepers/ and or blazes (dependent of difficulty your going for) falling from the trees

1) I agree that work is needed on the tunnels. I do actually have some different types of blocks near the end of the tunnel entering into the area, but more can be done. I have an idea about what I could add to the walls to make it pop a bit more though; I'll certainly post when I have made some adjustments to the area's aesthetics.
2+3) I have some lighting in the ceiling as you saw in the later picture sets, but I could certainly add a bit of light to the bottom area so the place isn't swarmed with mobs. Thank you for the link; it certainly helps explain when stuff will spawn and how to control the light levels. Glowstone struck me as a bit powerful though, so I will need something with less light, like Jack O'Lanterns. I am trying to keep the area free of lava at the moment, but I could add a spot here or there as a troll trap perhaps...
4)I plan to put something in the place where that boring cavern is, so that will be addressed in the future. As for making the areas bigger, I'm okay with the size for now; this is meant to be an Intersection 1 area, so I don't want something too massive. I could certainly do a gradual increase of the area size though as the map gets a bit harder.
5) Thank you for the complement. Tree variation would be useful here; I would still need to figure out what spawners I want; definitely not blazes though! I'll consider creepers.
If you lose the wool, there'll be no other way to get it back.

There may be too many if they're all bonus/hidden items, but if they're real monument blocks and you want your map to be that long, then go for it!
