Umm... Hayo guys. Haven't been on an active CTM thread since the one of the Bardin... Oh boy. Better get this one bookmarked. Again, hayo!
Edit: Well, now that I have seen what the OP says, I am making a CTM. Pics? Here you go.
Link to the thread is in my signature down below!
*doesn't know who you are* *welcomes you anyway :D*
Also, I really like those pics, except for one thing: that sandstone bit. I've never liked square areas, because they always seem kind of unnatural, and weird. It's not all that difficult to make some reasonably sheer cliffs with the MCEdit brush, and it looks a lot nicer.
As I promised yesterday, here's a display of the mob variant I've been working on; the Thistleback!
The Thistleback is essentially a buffed silverfish. They come in two varieties: light and heavy. Light Thistlebacks are fast and plentiful, but don't do very much damage. They have a rare drop of a "Gleaming Thistleback Spine", that is, a Sharpness I enchanting book. Heavy Thistlebacks are slow, but also very deadly, as they have the strength potion effect as well as thorns (leather helmet with thorns I). They have a rare drop of a "Gnarled Thistleback Spine", a Thorns I enchanting book.
The Light and Heavy Thistlebacks also have more buffed variants; the Thistleback Queen and Thistleback Drone. Thistleback Queens have doubled speed effects over the Light Thistlebacks, as well as strength. They have a high drop chance of a "Gleaming Thistleback Spine - Level II", a Sharpness II enchanting book. Thistleback Drones are twice as slow as the Heavy Thistlebacks, but they have twice as much health, as well as the Thorns V effect on their side. They drop a "Gnarled Thistleback Spine - Level II), a Thorns II book. These super-buffed variants spawn very rarely (weight of 1 against the normal variant's weight of 10), and always have their nametag above their head.
I'm planning an entire area around these guys in Dreadsky Depths, but I haven't yet balanced them around that scenario, so I won't be releasing the schematics for the spawners. I'm really excited about the possibility of creating variants like this, so expect more displays like this in the future!
(To be fair, I came up with the idea for Thistlebacks before we knew anything about Vechs' custom mobs like the Char, Boomer, etc.)

Well, I've finished another area for TCOMH (Two more, actually)! I figure y'all might want to see it, so here it is!
Feedback, please?
Also, @Drago, those look like cool mobs.
Can barely see anything due to vines blocking sights :/ might want to give a wider view or something along that lines. Also whitty was on the CTM shop page made by Isaac bardin cant believe its gone through three renditions since I joined. That was back when delyithen (or something like that ) was still around although you dont know him either . I remember skeeto's first post that thread actually

The vines are there to help you hide from the rage spidars...
Personally, I find the WE Build Commands to be an unnecessary extension of the WE Terraforming Toolkit. Not only that, but the Terraforming Toolkit's erode/fill brushes work a lot better than the ones in Build Commands.
But the erode in default world edit is terrible for cave ceilings. :/
Erode or smooth? I know the smooth tool is bad for ceilings. I'm not talking about default brushes; the Terraforming Toolkit erode/fill tools are far superior than their Build Commands counterparts, much less the default brushes.
I hollowed out the entirety of my mini map with the BC fragment tool it is such an awesome brush plus it has unlimeted size :). Also tge custom trees are amazing cough tree in sig cough
That's why I used MCEdit for almost everything, with WE being there just to get extra stuff clear or built.
Yeah, WE is useful for touchups, etc, but MCEdit is much better suited for big things. Sidenote: I am really looking forward to using the ore command in Terraforming Toolkit.
How are you guys using worldedit in 1.5? Do you use singleplayercommands (which I hate) or console? I use console for the reliability and forge to use the reach command, but it currently doesn't work in 1.5 (Although it does for 1.4, so that's why I'm still staying there).

I use singleplayercommands, and I don't really have any problems with it. I tried singleplayerconsole once and it was horrible.

I've never been able to figure out how to use console, so I was using commands.
This isn't completely related to CTM, but it's in a CTM map and it's too small of a question to start a topic for methinks.. anyway, I seem to be having a problem with command blocks. I'm typing into the console:
/say Well done, @a, you got the diamond block!
But it's literally saying "Well done, @a, you got the diamond block!". Shouldn't it say all of the players name instead of just @a? What am I doing wrong?
Derpy command blocks are derpy. Try @a /say, maybe. I've never been able to figure out how to use player names in command blocks, myself.
EDIT: Something's seriously wrong with Vechs' thread. No one's posted there in over an hour and a half!
Community question:
Provided there are distinct and varied sections in a cave style dungeon, each with its own miniboss, how many blocks would be inordinately long for such a cave?
(Basically I have a cave which backtracks under the entire swamp area, I have made it basically straight so there isn't much chance of getting lost, I'm just wondering if it's too long - keep in mind that I haven't announced the target difficulty for this map)
I guess something along the lines of Vechs' line in between I2, and
Oh boy. The terraforming toolkit. The one that has saved me from growing countless vines, and the one I spent 3 hours with eroding an area while listening to Amlup's Waking Up livestream.

This area is the monument area. So, I guess I might add a little variation to it.

Oh wow. That idea sounds amazing. A way to make the feesh even more crazy than they already are. I approve.

I use a specially ported SinglePlayerCommands that somebody else ported for the general public.

Why thank you. Just so you know, a lot of the things in my map are getting adjusted, some rebalanced, and some things completely removed and remade.
