For those who watched my let's play of Arcane Asylum, the way things are looking right now, I may have to completely end the series due to computer issues. As much as I enjoy the let's play, I don't see it being possible for me to continue it with the current situation. I do apologize, it may still be able to continue if we're lucky, but I wouldn't count on it. I'll post a video within 2-3 weeks giving out the final outcome.

hope you enjoyed the map. Good luck if you start a new series. I would reccommend you to play Emerald Dream 3: http://www.minecraft...rd-map-for-162/ or Wild Charge By Krose: http://www.minecraft...i-ctm-released/. also the legend of two swords will contain areas easier on computers and will have much better gameplay.
I'll be playing Legends of Two Swords, probably not on release day/week/month but I'll get around to eventually, I promise.
Q1: Guys how do you upload so many pics? I can only seem to get one up at a time. Not exactly sure what you mean
Q2: How do I do banners? If you click HERE and paste the image into the box, you just have to hit save and it will show up on new and pre-existing posts
Q3: Who wants a download for my WIP map? Is it a CTM? Even if it is please dont advertise on my page, I wont report you this time but if you post this on another thread somebody will. But if it is a CTM I can beta test.
Currently sinking my teeth into Arcane Asylum. I'll give detailed feedback at the end, but so far it's been alright. A few things off the top of my head:
-starter area could use a few more honeypots. My poor little brick house was under constant siege by zombies.
-areas in general could use more detail.
-what's with the randomly generated ores everywhere? intentional? It certainly gave me a lot of iron, gold, and redstone starting out I guess. Most CTMs provide their own ores, so this was a little strange.
-Are you sure about that 64 lapis for a diamond trade? I'm sitting here finishing up intersection one and I already have a diamond sword, pick, and enchanting table.
-a shortcut to intersection 5 is open wide and visible from the monument. Judging by the signs that say "dig", that was unintentional. I nicked a nice flame 1+infinity bow from there, but apart from that avoided abusing it.

Yeah Arcane asylum isnt that great. It was mainly just a test world for me in a way. I basically used the map to experiment with different concepts and it will be replaced very shortly. Good luck with later areas, they become very difficult.
(Yes I finished the records too, but you can't really indicate that)
feedback in spoilers, I kept a written book to stuff full of it in my ender chest the whole way:
ares area = seemed way too easy. I was in and out in a minute or so.
turtle lake - bridge was blown up, but the tnt was still in the trap. What?
turtle lake again - that golden skull trap was funny, but I managed to disarm it. Now if you want the trap to be really mean, make 1/4 of the tnt primed. Towards the back, once people lower their guard.
zombie factory - the spawners needed to be faster. I literally walked up to them and dismantled them all with almost no zombies.
Another World - too similar to generic nether. Also instead of having us walk a sizable distance, you could have just had a teleport button in the overworld to the nether portal that links to the dungeon.
yay, I've unlocked brewing...in the nether in the middle of nowhere. How about some redstone, glowstone, and a few water bottles amidst the loot in that dungeon?
I3 is where I feel the map finally picked up in difficulty. I was getting dreadfully bored of it. There's easy, and then there's completely harmless.
intersection 5 ice area was way too easy. I just waited until the daytime as far as the overworld part, chugged a night vision for the ice cave, and about the only difficult part (that big room just before the wool) can very easily be bridged or pearled over. Though I did enjoy having snow golems beat the stuffing out of blazes.More of that.
Infected Sewer - In hindsight I find it great that it was so dark that I tried using a boat, only to crash into the ruins filled with dozens of monsters. This was a challenging area due to all those natural spawns, but I was really confused when I opened up the box for my loot and found...a music disc? I thought we were just collecting wool! Please only have one victory monument, with all the objectives in it. I thought it was a troll, and would have discarded the disc if I wasn't hoarding them at the monument for tunes.
A Rough End - you're seriously overdoing the void. The platforms were decently wide, but you have to consider all the natural spawn skeletons. Less void, especially later on in the map when you have a lot to lose.
Blazing Grove fleecymobs were pushovers.
Blocks Disc - man I'm glad you gave us fire resist by this point. You just went nuts with the blaze spawners here.
black wool/stal = Yipes! Well actually it looks terrifying, but I just stayed on the edge and killed the 3 immediately threatening ghast spawners, then bridged to the center. Wool done! Took that back, built to the disc box, used a fire resist, disc done! That wasn't so bad. After those were secure, I went and got the loot chest, expecting something hella cool, only to get a bound sword lvl 5. To put it into perspective, this thing is MUCH worse than the max level wand you get earlier in the map alongside the sharpness III diamond pwnsword.
Speaking of pwnswords, considering that was the last dungeon, I never actually had an opportunity to use that epic sharpness 15 sword! The only monsters were blazes and ghasts, I would have preferred a power 15 bow at least.
pathfinder spell: ooh, what does this do? Oh, it's just a map. Of the overworld, and this map is underground. useless...
the spawn iron/snow golem eggs don't work. I got all excited and saved them to my TooManyItems list thinking they'd be really handy.
I've moved on to Smite Cavern, and I've got to say that, for 1.6 with such changes as zombies can swarm you from over 100 blocks away, this is worse than any Zero Mercy map I've seen. I'm resorting to save scumming.
Current struggles:
Right off the bat I had trouble because the monument isn't protected at all. You stand by it, start to grab your stuff, and there's already 40+ zombies there from the MASSIVE dark spot right next to the monument. They just funnel out of it like some demonic clown car. Normally I'd chokepoint them at a doorway or with ladders, but there are no doorways, and not enough wood to make ladders.
At first I thought the iron was a troll and there was no cobble in the map, but it's hidden in the monument! So now I have a furnace, iron, but nothing to smelt the iron with! 4 logs, one is already gone with the crafting bench. I definitely need iron armor with those prot 4 enchants to survive past the first wool, my last 20+ attempts have beaten that into my head. For that though, I'd need an anvil, and that's an assload of smelted iron.

in summary: What do I smelt this iron with?!
(:P You played my two worst maps first.)
There is a semi hidden furnace later on in the map, there are two x64 coal chests right next to it.
D e a _ _ _ _ o o m M i n e s
You can guess the name if you want.
Deathbloom mines
I know what that means...
I assume that's an area in your next map, can't wait.
Correct and dont expect the map anytime soon, it will probably be released from dec-feb
That's fine, I need some time to finish up Arcane Asylum anyways :).
Good luck with the map.

It might not seem like much, but inside its Insane, if you want to know how evil it is just contact sarcasmlord and ask XD.
