I just started. I mean just started. Oh my GOD so many enemies around and in the first town even during day time. I'm holed up in a tiny village house right now with about 11 creepers, 8 spiders and a few zombies just waiting for me to leave. :/
I have it on easy too. xD This is going to be mighty interesting indeed. I kind of both like and dislike how you have nothing dying during day time.
You sneaky map maker, you.
Playing on 1.4.5 btw.

AutonatorMC your map is amazing! No really! But I still want to know who told you its the "best adventure map in minecraft". I'm not saying your map is bad, I just want to know. Thx!

XD You sure want to know, huh?
/I/ think this map is freakin' amazing and to me it's the best adventure map out there so far. I'm having too much fun with it. And given the feed back here so far (and who knows what other sites he has it on as well), it's safe to say the majority think it's win too.
If I made a map and everyone who played completely loved it, I'd say mine was the most beloved map for minecraft, definitely.

Yes but their are maps out there that have gotten much better reviews and such. I just think it's false advertising that's all. Im NOT saying the map is bad ok.
Does anyone know if ore was removed from this map.?
I have been spending time on it and working my way through it, but running out of iron, etc, and salvaging redstone from devices etc
Have done some mining but not found anything, so before spending time continuing the mine I am asking if anyone else has found ore.
Thanx for the work on this, nice map, big and enjoyable to play. Only complaint would be the dozens of spawn points for slime that seem to constantly pump out the annoying buggers.
Slime spawning was changed after the map was completed and would take a mod to fix. The map is too thin for ore generation but maybe a change in the settings could restore default map generation for new chunks.
A complex random village, dungeon, and spawner generator could make the map go on forever. I made such things in Yuri's Revenge but in Minecraft it's beyond my abilities.
Great map took me 10 hours to complete good variation of challenges, good quantity's of loot, good level design, addictive game play. Playing with a friend is much funner. Only gripe was the ending. Thought it could of been more of a challenge (it was a bit of a anti climax) in the end, since by that point diamond set all enchanted was OP. Also the dungeons (Especially the ice) could have been longer.
Thanks for a enjoyable 10 hours.

I am working on a new end boss for the next release, however, the difficulty still must be so everyone has a chance not just the elite players I find creating a quality boss entity very difficult in minecraft. Perhaps a redstone boss is the way to go
The ice dungeon is twice as big in the next release with custom mobs and a boss.
I am glad you liked the map and congratulations on the win
While it's not a full playthrough I made a highlight video of the best parts of my sister and I's first 3 hours of gameplay on this map. We've had a lot of fun so far . Sorry for the overlay in the video, we do the show once a week on a twitch channel that has requirements.

You need to unzip the file and put it in your saves folder.
If you cant see it go down a folder as in mine I think it was a folder in a folder which had the save game.
Same result. Same with these methods too: Extract with windows drag entire folder in; Extract with windows drag 2nd folder in; Extract with 7zip drag entire folder in; Extract with 7zip drag 2nd folder in; Drag original zipped folder in; drag 2nd folder of zip in. Same result, whatever I do, it never appears.
When you unzip it extracts to a folder so it could be that the map is inside an extra folder with the same name.

The next update adds quite a lot and will be ready in a few weeks.
