I'm home, out of the hospital, and have access to a decent save file for the map, with only a few things missing! Looks like I can finally get back to work, once I'm fully recovered and everything
Well, it sounds as if you've just recovered from life seriously kicking you in the face... But, I'm glad you are doing well. This map looks amazing and I would love to test it, I hope you'll say yes. If you want to, I can host a server from a spare laptop for testing with multiple people and building, if you want. If not, I would still like to test out this map, I would look for bugs and breaks for you and even give some ideas if I had any.

Yeah, life just kicked me a few hard times in a row for good measure, haha. Thanks
I might end up taking up on that server option. There's a few things I want to do, that I'm not sure how to do in SP, but it won't be for awhile yet. I would love for more beta testers though Once I get myself caught up, which I'll be working on today, I'll be certain to send a copy to everyone interested

Yeah, life'll do that to ya' sometimes. Nut you just have to get up, dust yourself off, and keep on moving. Can't wait to test the map!

That's the plan
Just finished installing all my mods, tools, texture packs, and mediafire save of the map on my 'inbetween' laptop (i.e. my mum's) and will be working today and so on, until I can get a new hard drive for my old one

-mutters about 44:6 block and mcedits it out-
Lol, my sister has about a two or three inbetween PC because she has killed her computers... I warned her to not turn Starcraft 2 up to Ultra settings...

Oof, that hurts, haha
My old one still *works*, but it just can't run without a hard drive. I'm recovering from the loss well, but I'm freaking out about some of my files still. I really gotta get a hold of those...
When my old computer had a general motherboard failure I was pulling my hair out since I really needed some of the things on there. Like a hard backup of my forum and the files for a game I was on the design team for..

Yeah, about 100 pages of my work in progress novel are sitting on there... eep.
Yikes. I hope you can get them all back, you should set up a donation feature to restore your computer and continue your work. Im sure people would understand and at least some people might donate. Just explain your situation.

Not as worried about it as I should be, though perhaps that's worth setting up. I'm part of several great groups of people who have offered some support though, so I should be alright.
That good, sometimes its good to have friends. I use an online back up so 5 GB of my most important things are on there. The map seems like it is going to be awesome though.

Yeah, I got lucky with most of my backups. I'm literally down documents and time to be spent installing things.
Thanks, I do hope it ends up as awesome as I'd like it to be! I'm using it to really expand my mapmaking skills as much as possible as to make even better things in the future.
I hope you are able to get the map out for testing, you know the feeling when you REALLY want to do something and it feels like a boiling in you? I have that..

Shouldn't be too difficult. I literally lost two things, and both were fairly small. One was the Light Blue dungeon, which I can reconstruct pretty quickly, and some Intersection 2 details.
So it isn't that bad, I can't wait to see it. From what I've seen you have made sure to get every detail perfect. Half of the map creators just put detail in the important things.. I have a few questions, how many players is recommended for this map? What is the difficulty? How many hours would it take to speed run what you have done so far, and when it is finished? What texture pack should I use? Just so I have a basic idea of the map.

Yeah, I've spent from the time this thread was created to last month merely perfecting Intersection 01, and getting my CTM legs Progress will go faster now, but I am very nitpicky.
-1-3 Players, though it is kitted for 1. 2 is easy enough, but 3 might be a bit stretched for resources.
-Hard. The map starts off fairly rough, and doesn't much hold back. Combination of some **** moves, some challenging terrain, and tightly controlled spawns.
-What is done now could take anywhere from one hour to four hours. Really depends on the speed, and the skill at which you can slip by the challenges. Knowing where everything is, I can get the first three wool in about 40 minutes, and get the bonus loot as well.
-The map currently finishes at Intersection 02, of a planned 04. There will be 5 wool to collect when my beta copy is sent out, as well as one metal block.
Thank you, since most people would most likely be testing along, I suggest you and I test it with two or three people, since having a certain amount of players can break the game. Also to see how the difficulty would vary because of the resources combating how many people were playing. Also to see if having more players made the map shorter or longer. Just a few ideas.

That would be quite fun I've been having some good connection days recently (I'm in the process of moving and am using a neighbor's internet) so once I get stuff done, I'd be up for it
Alright.. I also recommend having like a random contest for who would be the third since I think people would get excited about playing the the creator dont you think?

Depends if anyone cares, haha Not sure when I'd be free/when I'll have a set copy yet. Aside from rebuilding, I have an area to finish and an area to properly balance too...
Thanks Definitely!

-Johnsmith. Definitely Johnsmith.
Hope that explains things
