HEY YOU! Yes, you! If you are a user at the forums, PLEASE post a reply, your thoughts, a bump, or anything else to keep this thread alive - The only reason I work hard on this is because getting replies, people wanting more, support, ect. Aramis got famous because of feedback, make this map famous! After all, it is better than Aramis
Note about the NPC's: Do not kill any NPC's unless it is mentioned, otherwise, they will respawn as a bugged NPC and you would be breaking a rule. So, don't kill any NPC unless it is indicated or unless he attacks you. Also, if an NPC duplicates, ignore him, its just a little bug (will be fixed in upcoming versions),don't kill him, just ignore it... (this is for map v0.2.1, not for v0.2)
Note 2: Feel free to post walkthroughs you have recorded from Flatham here! If they are good enough, I will add them to the thread!
I'm trying to get any of these famous Youtubers to play my map. Send Flatham to these users, just send them a message saying to play this map and give them the link to this topic and if they play it, that would be a true honor. I will work faster on this project if you they play it. That means v0.3 will come out sooner...

NOTE: Map name is Flatham, it is pronounced Flath-am, not Flat-Ham, it doesn't has anything to do with ham or flat food
Anyways, lets start:
Hello guys! This is an RPG map named Flatham, map is at Aramis, the planet where my other RPG map takes place (if you havent checked it out, CLICK HERE). If you havent played my map, you will feel a bit confused while reading this
Flatham is a region at this planet (like Imperial Lands, Borea Forest, Black Woods and Atacar), but it is an island, a island very distant from the other regions of the planet, your character name is Eldor, a warrior from Imperial Lands (a region at Aramis) that arrived to Flatham in a ship sent from the Imperial River, you were told by the king to come. The region of Flatham is suffering an infection, that is taking the whole lands and soon, it will reach the other regions at the other side of the Imperial Sea, you must put an end to this unknown infection, before its too late.
This map has been inspired in The Elder Scrolls and Fallout games, and of course, my map Aramis.
Flatham has free roam, like my other map, and as said before, Flatham is a DLC for the original map Aramis, well, a very huge DLC, that's why i recommend you to play my map Aramis before try this, otherwise, you might not understand many things. (however, its not obligatory to play it before try this).
Flatham offers at least 7 hours of gameplay (main quests), and with side quests, it includes more than 30 hours of exciting gameplay! Making that a total or 37 hours of gameplay!
Signatures:
Enable any of these signatures as a sign of support, i've had also provided differents alternatives and color signatures:
Just copy the code under the signature you like, click on edit signature (at edit profile), click the lightswitch icon (near the eraser icon) then paste the signature code and it's done!
Daily Updates:
Remember to check last page for daily updates! (ill post there the things i have done and built through the day),one daily update per day (sounds obvious)
Flatham is a mix of everything in an RPG style world, parkour, combat, mazes, jumping courses, puzzles, adventure, etc!
Pictures:
Note: This pictures will only show you a 40% of the map, they are here just to give you an idea of what you'll see and play. There a lot more to discover, a lot...
Note 2: Most of the pictures were taken before NPC's were added, don't worry, cities have NPC's... Im saying this in case you guys say "were are NPC's.
Note 3: Don't update to minecraft 1.1, map currently works for and only minecraft 1.0, it will be updated when all mods are compatible with 1.1.

Map rules and important notes:
-Dont break blocks unless you are indicated to do it.
-Dont kill any NPC's unless you are indicated to do it.
-Must be played in NORMAL difficulty.
-Dont place blocks, unless you are indicated to do it or unless it is a bed, a torch or glowstone (only to iluminate, not to reach places).
-Once you read a book, place it in your inventory and dont drop it unless you already finished the quest.
-Follow the money system.
-Follow any other in-game map rules.
-Read carefully every book.
-Must play with the Texture Pack.
-Dont use any other mods other than the ones included in the mod pack.
-Dont use any inventory hacking program.
It is very important to read every book carefully since this is a new type of adventure/rpg map and a new quest system, so you might be confused at start.
REMEMBER TO ALWAYS START THE MAP WITH MUSIC VOLUME AT 0% AND NEVER CHANGE UNLESS YOU ARE INDICATED TO DO IT. Otherwise, the map included music might be without synch and bug
FEW NOTES:
You can sleep during the day.
When you sleep, the bed where you slept becomes your new spawn point. So, beds are used to save and as a checkpoint system.
You can only craft weapons and tools.
You can loot the items from the chests unless its a store or unless it is mentioned to don't do it.

Map (v0.2.1):http://adf.ly/5lgO3 (Remember to also download new version of installer) (v0.4.1)
*Updated to minecraft v1.1.0
*Fixed lots of minor and major bugs
*Tweaked some NPC's
*Tweaked some structures and places
(This is not a bug, but just in case): If you try to sleep at a bed and it says "Bed is blocked", destroy the sign near the bed to be able to sleep on it.
Don't want to loose your progress? Then before download the map, (if you are in the middle of a quest, or a side quest, make sure to finish it before update), at Flatham, pick all the items you want to keep, and place them in your inventory, after that, close the map, and in the saves folder at the .minecraft folder, at the map save file, copy the file named level.dat to the desktop and delete the map, then download the map (v0.2.1), install it the same way you installed the previous versions and copy the level.dat file you had on your dekstop to the map save file folder. You will have the items you added to the inventory, your last position and other things you had before.
Mod pack Installer (v0.4.1) Map must be played with the mods included in this mod pack, don't worry, you just have to click the next button with this installer, but please, MAKE SURE TO READ THE READ ME FILE, it is important, otherwise, don't complain: http://www.mediafire...s6ave3s9y5nke63
Note about mod pack v0.4.1: Mod pack v0.4.1 is currently bugged, so it is recommended to wait for fix or download the v0.2 of the map, which works in minecraft 1.0 with mod pack v0.3. You can download it map v0.2.1 and mod pack v0.4.1, but it is not recommended since it will not give a you a very good gameplay experience compared to v0.2
Before install the mod pack, make sure to use a fresh jar.
Here is an important note you must remember, NEVER start the map if you haven't installed the mod pack, otherwise, there will not be any NPC's, books and some other things/features.
If you find any bugs with the map, please post at this thread. Also, you guys are free to share experiences with the map, ask me questions about quests, etc.
If your the text in your books its glitched, make sure to download these fixed books: http://adf.ly/5lg7g
Open the zip file, and extract the folder named books (if you are windows), if you are in MAC OS, use the folder named books inside the MACOS folder. Copy the folder named books as said before, and paste it at the map save file location (.minecraft/saves), if it asks you to replace some files, click yes to all. Done!
Just in case, map has some grammar errors, but you might not even notice them, however, they will be fixed in the upcoming versions...
REMEMBER, MAP MUST BE PLAYED WITH THE TEXTURE PACK ON AND IN NORMAL DIFFICULTY

Random Note: Many people has been asking what's the NPC mod, here it is, the simple npc mod.
Played a bit of Aramis in the times it was called Imperial Lands. Painterly pack hurts my eyes so I quit the map :S And now that I saw you added in doku-related textures, you caught me with the fishing line.(I realy love doku's textures, they calm me)
Anyways, I'm looking forward to this! An Adventurecraft map created by the best map builder I've ever seen... Can seriously not wait!
Im deciding an important thing, i think the map will be made to be played with normal minecraft, not AC. AC is hard to use, and if i want to learn how to use it and be sure that the map will be succesful, the release date would be like for january 2012, i prefer normal minecraft since its easier, faster and with all the 1.9 and 1.8 changes, it will be awesome. Although, Flatham will need a few mods, book mod and zombe mod pack, only those 2. HOWEVER, as said before, im still deciding to continue with AC or move to minecraft.
lolo, I've got a question though, did you BUILD the structures in Aramis by hand? Alone? Damn, it must've taken a great deal of time...
Only Minecity, it was my first city, i didnt knew that commands existed and i was a noob to MC, that also explains why is the worst city. It was made legit. Other cities and structures where made with SP commands.
Hey man!
Please stay in adventure craft, coz that way you can properly script things!
I liked Aramis, but it felt "hollow" to me (by this i mean with just core minecraft, it honestly just felt like running around a big map and not actually having to do anything to continue on)
In adventurecraft you can make it so you MUST follow the main story line to move on, and side quests rewards are only gained via actually collecting an item during the quest and trading it in.
Also you wouldnt be able to destroy blocks, making it feel much better.

hey lolo here is my protip for adventurecraft: build the map in core minecraft then put it in the adventurecraft map folder then add the adventurecraft items into the core minecraft map see it makes building a lot easier.

Script is super hard, i dont know how to, if i make the map on AC, it will be released like at 2012, probably at february. I can say by now that it will be made for core MC, sorry...
Also, remember that aramis does not has the 1.7.3, 1.8 and 1.9 changes, this map will, and it will be amazing, i promess it.

Thanks for the tip, will do it if map is made on AC...
I'm exited, although I was kinda hoping this was going to be somewhat like Shivering Isles. That expansion was insane. (quite literally) But still, I guess it's good you didn't because you don't want to copy everything. :biggrin.gif: I am very exited indeed!
So new map huh? That's great actually! No offense, but i didn't particularly "enjoy" the massive world of aramis where you have to do random things. I like a storyline.

Hah, then you will like this map, it will have a story line and it will not be that massive.

I understand that some scipting can be hard, BUT alot of things that need scripting, either 1 - exist in the engine and have the blocks (all the triggers, memory etc) or 2 - many player made scripts are avaliable on the wiki. I cant imagine there would be too much that you would need to do yourself.
Also if you make the map in AC, make the map using AC, not core minecraft (i say this as AC has many MANY more blocks for buildings and dungeons, and everything!)
I would love to see this in AC, and if it takes a few extra months, it will be worth the wait, you have Aramis, keep that updating on core minecraft, but make this in AC, take on a new challenge :smile.gif:

Map (v0.2.1): http://adf.ly/5lgO3 (Remember to also download new version of installer) (v0.4.1)
Map v0.2 (works on minecraft 1.0): http://adf.ly/5ll0z
Mod pack v0.3 (only for map v0.2): http://www.mediafire...xim41100lbolhqp

AdventureCraft HERE WE GO!
I liked how you used "finished", with the " ", hah, i really doubt someone will ever beat Aramis at 100%.
And thank you for feedback
bro, the day you release this, i will be so happy
Will give you feedback to the max
Thank you :biggrin.gif:
Anyways, I'm looking forward to this! An Adventurecraft map created by the best map builder I've ever seen... Can seriously not wait!
Ya, thats one of the hardest things, hope you learn how to script them, i wish i could help, but im not an AC expert
Only Minecity, it was my first city, i didnt knew that commands existed and i was a noob to MC, that also explains why is the worst city. It was made legit. Other cities and structures where made with SP commands.
