1.6 is bad unless https://mojang.atlas...t/browse/MC-911 is fixed, otherwise it's decent. Of course, trying to compare the current update to past ones doesn't make any sense the closer and closer we get to the game basically being complete
That's been in MineCraft for quite a while, and I would like to see that removed (is that the bug causing ugly black spots on blocks?).
I think the worst bug (for me) in 1.6 is the nether fortress bug. Wither skeletons and Blazes aren't spawning naturally in chunks generated pre-1.6. This sucks because the main server I play on has a large part of the economy made up by Wither Skulls.

There ain't much left of the world these days. The gods have forsaken us, there's no denying that. But still you press on. For what? A chance to sift through the ashes one last time? The hope to one day be called a hero? Whatever your reason, you've got a lot of work to do. The corruption won't leave without a fight, so you better get started.
SHUT THE UP about Inferno Mines. Every Super Hostile map is to be celebrated, even if it isn't perfect. Hybran, you're awesome and I agree with almost everything you say, but IM doesn't deserve your iness. There are some others, like Inferachnid, that guy with the.. cube avatar... and someone else. Doesn't matter, just shut up. I can't wait for #13 at Xmas (Yes, I just made a wish, if it comes true I get $58.45)
But the nerfs to players on potions and buffing the enemies I think was not necessary as they are already annoying. I find Zombies just in packs of 20 already and I keep on seeing it is what is the problem. I did not know about the 1.6.1 features and those I am actually fond of.
Elaborate on why nerfing potions aren't necessary. Again, restoring 6 hearts of your own with IH2 and potentially taking away 4 from undead mobs is enough as it is, and with some CTM maps using stackable splash health potions it just makes it too easy to walk in and clear out a mob group easily.
You're exaggerating with the packs of 20. They were already a mook easy mob, now they have something to them.

All I was asking for was a nerf on Strength and Regen. IH2 was overpowered in how easy you could obtain them. All you need is access to a large amount of gold and some melons and you're set for life.
Also, Zombies are STILL very easy, only posing a threat in large numbers. The new "Spawn in a Friend" feature is pointless in smaller numbers. Besides, a Sharpness 4 Knockback 2 Sword should fix the problem quite nicely.
I decided to start a lets play (Note: IHaveNoIdeaWhatIAmDoing so ItWillSuck)
[edit] Oh yes the still image is of my death message[/edit]
Third episode I realized I need to record my voice separately and it came out 100% better just from that,
I mean if you enjoy people diying then it might be for you.
Also woo for 30 day trial of adobe premiere. If this works out i'll probably pay the $20 a month or whatever except as far as I can see thats a "annual commitment" so really you are paying them $240
Now that I've beaten Infernal Sky II, I'm looking to play another Super Hostile map. After my experience with the second dungeon of Sunburn Islands, (i.e, it being harder for me than any area in the entire Infernal Sky II map, to the point where I ended up giving up entirely) I figure I'd be better off asking you guys what map I should play next. The community ratings seem to be somewhat inaccurate, at least for Sunburn. So I figure I can get the opinions of some SH veterans I'm looking to pick the easiest SH map available, excluding Infernal Sky II, and work my way up from there.

lol, I don't think I've talked about IM in ages
you're looking for a reason to argue, and obviously you haven't done your research
go away
also, now
Why is every SH map to be celebrated? IM was downright atrocious in parts, and so is BD2. IM most certainly deserves my...iness. (someone get on this censor lol) If it didn't matter so much, why are you replying huh huh oh burn #snapcrackle2012, and Vechs isn't a mapmaker anymore.

A map shouldn't be immune to criticism just because it's a Super Hostile map. All maps should be criticized when they deserve it and praised when they deserve it. If you don't agree with that, then you shouldn't be critiquing maps or telling others not to.

Well, I was never critiquing, and no, I don't have any position in telling people not to hate on maps. I just wanted to I love all maps, even really bad ones (at least they are all more interesting than vanilla).
But I believe the nerfs to players on potions and buffing the enemies (spiders, zombies) were not necessary as they are already annoying.
I find Zombies just in packs of 20 already and I keep on seeing this as the problem. I did not know about the 1.6.1 features and those I am actually fond of.
1. Positive potions were extremely OP. They were once a potential crutch the player could use in a custom map. Now they are more of a tool.
2. Buffing the enemies are good.
2A. I like the spider change especially since they were extremely weak. Sure, they were fast, but you could easily outrun/outreach them. Now they have a chance to melee you. The spider jockeys were extremely rare occurrence and still doesn't provide much of a harder mob.
2B. I disagree with the "every video game needs their gooba" argument. The goombas were a thing you tapped before continuing on your merry way. They pose no threat whatsoever. Now they have a chance of damaging you.
I think before Minecraft was like "here's a zombie, go kill it". Now it is like "here's a gigantic horde of zombies. You can try and kill it or you can try to avoid it since zombies are a thing to reckon with" The mob equipment made them slightly more difficult, but they were more of a toy for mapmakers. The "harder hit as I get damage" thing helped slightly, but not by much. The reinforcements made a 1v1 into a 2v1 or 3v1, 4v1, 5v1, etc. if you're a mapmaker.
The only problem I have with the 1.6 update is that it will DESTROY the balance in some CTM maps Take Pantheon for example. It's hard enough, but with the 1.6 update some good potion effects will be nerfed on some custom potions, and some OP mobs will become even more OP. Also, any "easy" dungeons just having a bunch of zombie spawners will become nightmares. That's just my opinion. Some people might still find it easy to do but for less experienced CTM players it will become even harder to play the map the way it is.
Quick question to anyone reading this, does Sea of Flames II work on 1.5.2? 'cause with the recent changes i'm not sure, and i don't want to waste time looking for stuff that doesn't exist/work.
Of course it works. But it might be a little harder or a little easier, because Vaks didn't build the map in this current version. The 1.6 update tomorrow probably won't change too much, save the attributes and golden apples and potions being much more not good. It's a good thing

We haven't discussed Inferno Mines for more than 10 pages now, why are you bringing this back up again?
Also, "Every Super Hostile map is to be celebrated"....wat

Inferno Mines doesn't deserve Hybran's...."iness"? I'm trying to think of what you could have possibly wrote to be censored by the profanity filter, but I got nothing.
Also, "that guy with the cube avatar". It totally helps that most users' avatars are square Steve faces.

He's a commentator.
You're incredibly oblivious to flaws in things, and refuse to listen to reason
Play sunburn, don't go to the second dungeon immediately, search the seafloor for loot, then attempt it.

Nah.
No plans have been announced for SH #13 whatsoever.
You can stop thinking about that 58 whatever now.
