On first look it actually reminded me of the old ships they used to use as prisons in the Thames. As Silent said though, it mostly resembles a frigate or galleon. I found the body more like a frigate but the forecastle resembles a galleon. I definitely recommend taking Tiel's advice as well.
Galleon or frigate eh? I can only fit one more gun deck, so how many guns would a Galleon or frigate have?
And which kind of ship would be more befitting of an admiral, galleon or frigate?

Frigate has from 20 to 44 guns and a galleon will have around the same. An admiral wouldn't sail either of them, not even a commodore usually would. Admirals had large ship of the lines. Also to be noted is the fact that Royal Navy ships are painted black and yellow and aren't bair would like a merchant or pirate vessel may have.

I'm not sure how many guns a frigate would have, but galleons usually have anywhere between 28-36 guns, but there is documentation of a galleon that supposedly had over 300. Frigates would be far more fitting of an admiral than a galleon, though neither are really fitting, anyways.

It is an Alkrean (My kingdom) Naval Vessel. So I haven't yet planned the colour scheme. And all my ships are meant to be smaller than average. Also, Silent how big is the Elizabeth's Crusade? My ship, the Valkyrie, is 90m long, 18m wide and 36m tall.

I'll count the size at a later point. Right now, I'm too tired to switch to 1.6.2, after working on my map in 13w41b.
I'll try to post a video tomorrow showing it off. =)
YAY! GO CUCHAZ!
Anyways
Is it possible to make a ship out of ship blocks?
EDIT: I forgot! How will you make it possible for ships to sink 8). If they did what would the sinking look like haha
does this mean we should expect the mod to be released later?
Yes! Once I get collisions doing something reasonable, ships will actually be pilotable again. The problems I had with a hack based on Minecraft's original collision system completely prevented players from sailing their ships. Minecraft just wasn't designed to handle complicated interactions between entities.
Anyway, once collisions are working, all that's left on the todo list is upgrade the codebase to v1.6.4 and then repackage the mod as a zip file. This sounds fairly simple, but it could actually take me a while. In the zip mode, the mod has to work in a completely new environment, so that will likely expose all kinds of bugs/crashes. Once those are all fixed and the mod is playable on the client and server, I'll start the beta. There are no more major features that need to be implemented. It's all just bug fixing from here on out.
Also, I'm going grab some dinner and then make that movie showing off the new collision system! =)
Can ships 'recognize' one another and collide, or..?
Currently, no. I haven't implemented ship-to-ship collisions. I'd like to do that eventually, but I think I'll put out the beta first. We can call the lack of proper ship-to-ship collisions a bug for now. =P

Those are also the exact amount. Under and it's a corvette, over and it's a 4th-rate ship of the line.
Zarphos, you're ship sounds very large. My 1st-rate isn't even that big.

I was still typing my post when you submitted yours.

No. Ships will be restricted to one ship block and one helm per ship.

I'll update the OP with a description and stuff. Check there if you want to read more about the video.
There are a few more loose ends with collision to finish up, but we're getting closer to the beta now. =)

Also, once I get home, I'll watch the video, though I'm already confident that it's AWESOME.
