java.lang.RuntimeException: Server responded with 403
As far as i've read, this is the main problem, so i'm going to try to give you enough ideas to make the camera block work in every circunstance:
1.- The easier Idea: The camera block can ONLY be activated from a Trigger block. this solves a lots of problems, but creates a very limited block
2.- Idea: Right now there are 5 Trigger blocks, and i'm going to try to describe precisely how would every block interact with the camera block:
a) Trigger block: As i've said, the player who activates this block, receives the "spectate-down" command.
Redstone Trigger block: There's NO way to know who has pressed the button, or who's on a pressure plate, so if a Redstone activator triggers a Camera block, ALL the players will receive the "spectate-down" command. I don't think there's another solution for this.
IF this block is activated by a Redtone Activator block, it works the same!! there's no way to know who has Triggered the Redstone activator block that emits the redstone signal that activates the Redstone Trigger block!!
c) Key Trigger block: If you can recognize what player pressed the key, then that player it's the one who receives the "spectate-down" command. In other case, ALL the players receive the "spectate-down" command.
d) Trigger Inverter block: This is an special case because it's a Trigger block AND a Triggereable block:
To work, it will receive a trigger signal from other block, so, in order to work with a camera block, it has to receive from the block that triggers it, the entity that will pass to the camera block;
For example, if we have the next setup: RAB -> TIB -> CB, the Redstone Activator Block will trigger the Trigger Inverter, that triggers the Camera Block, so the camera block receives the ALL PLAYERS as entity to send the "spectate-down" command.
e) Timer Block: This has exactly the same cases as the Trigger Inverter Block, it needs to receive the entity from the block that triggers the Timer block, and then it passes the entity received to the camera block.
for multiple configurations with chained blocks that emits Trigger signal like: TriggerB -> TInverterB -> TimerB -> TimerB -> CameraB, the entity received it the one from the "main parent" block following always who's triggered by who (like the Trigger block).
But in this another case: TriggerB -> TimerB -> RedstoneActivator (redstone connection with) -> RedstoneTB -> CameraB, even if the actual block that starts the camera block it's a Trigger block, following the conexions backwards, the block that really triggers the camera block it's the Redstone Activator, because you can't follow backwards a redstone signal to know who turns on it, so it would receive the ALL PLAYERS entity.
For a script that activates the camera block, when you construct the function to "talk" with the camera block, one of the parameters, should be the entity that it's going to receive the "spectate-down" command, and this entity can easily be obtained through other functions in the script to identify entities... and.. ops, this is getting complicated, but i think that you get the point.
hopefully this covers all the points and questions asked in your previous post, if you have any other troubles, i'll be glad to help providing ideas!!! i'm sorry for not being able to give you code and say: "Hi! I've a present for you!! i've made a camera block! I hope you like It!!" but i can't
Nothing of that can be used.
I think I will just go for a testfor-filter that can be set in the camera-block.
Makes things way easier, and can possibly be further configured with scripting.
wow!! that description looks fantastic!! i've never imagined such detaild prototype!, maybe when talecraft 1.0 it's released you can start adding another stuff...
sry for the long post!! but the solution to the camera block looks like a challenge/puzzle for me!! i love puzzles!!! haha
A Kinemacanimator-System of that size and complexity can only be made once scripting is complete, since it has to be based on scripting.
Oh, and I really don't mind long posts.
I can read a 700+ DIN-A4 Page big book in around 5 hours.
If we're able to possibly convert AdventureCraft maps...does anyone know if the Zelda Adventure map works with TaleCraft?
Also, i try using the installer for TaleCraft but since I have Win-Rar it just opens the files. I know to run it i'm supposed to use "Open With" and then "Java (TM) Platform Binary SE" but when I do nothing seems to happen.

AdventureCraft-Maps are not yet fully convertable.
There are actually some things that can not be implemented in TC as they where in AC, because Multiplayer.
For the starting problem: Update Java, then try again. If you use Mac, sorry, but TaleCraft runs with Java 1.7, which all mac users cannot use because of Apple (I hate Apple for that). I can not compile TC for an older version, since no one seems to have the JDK for 1.6 freely avaible for download.
You can use it if you want to. Tell me if you want me to change something.
Nope, I am happy with the current Logo.
(I like the book in the middle!)
Also:
Short development break, since my little Brother had birthday,
and he wished a small (puzzle+platformer) game from me.
Will be done in a couple of days if I do it right,
and then I will instantly continue on TC work (/scripting).

I use a PC on Windows 7. I just reinstalled Java and I already had the latest update. I tried again to open the installer but it still didn't work. I'll try and redownload the installer for TaleCraft and see if that does anything.
Edit: Reinstalling the TaleCraft installer seemed to fix that issue. But, now I can't start the game when I select TaleCraft.
Fatal error launching game. Report this to http://mojang.atlassian.net please!

You forgot to install Forge, or you installed the wrong version of it.

Update to Latest Forge build? Because the download you have will no longer work in the launcher. It can't download something about versions and libraries. I downloaded the latest version of forge (09.10.0.804) and the talecraftinstaller doesn't work. I think it has something to do with the Forge version, because i have no clue how to manually install forge for the new launcher (which is in version 1.2.1 currently).
EDIT- Nevermind that, but still a good idea to update the mod to the latest version of Forge
EDIT2- Maybe put the version that is found in the version file of mincraft up for download, making it easier to install?

Hm
I will update the main-post in a minute, to include the absolutely correct version: 1.6.2 /// 9.10.0.784.
The next TaleCraft update will be for version 1.6.2 /// 9.10.0.804.

9.10.0.784 still didn't work for me, but 9.10.0.789 did.
But yeah, I have it working now. These tools are going to be fun to use. Thanks for the help.
Wait, so when you find the version of Forge that works for you, THEN the Talecraft's launcher runs with Java?
To get it working, I got the version of Forge that the launcher said it couldn't find when I tried to play a version with TaleCraft on it, which was 9.10.0.789.
So, once I downloaded that version of Forge it worked fine.
If you're talking about the installer for TaleCraft, all I did was redownload it.

What one should ALSO try is to DELETE the installers cache directory.
Which is located at: %APPDATA%/.taleCraftInstaller/
Or something like that! Its different for all systems!
Delete it, redownload the installer, try it again.

help i keep on getting a thing when i try to launch minecraft but it said that there's 2 failure errors pls tell me how to fix this!
This is the same problem I'm having, and I think it has to do with Forge and the Minecraft Launcher version 1.2.1. None of the "1.6.2" versions have worked for me so far and I've tried 8 of them.

It's probably the same as the log I posted most recently...
P.S. Do you need a working Forge for it to be able to run your TaleCraft Installer properly?
The installer and TaleCraft itself need the following to work:
Java 7 (or higher?)
Forge 9.10.0.784 OR 9.10.0.789
Internet Connection (Installer and launchwrapper need this, and TaleCraft itself probably too soon for an Auto-Update)
Folder Access to .minecraft and .taleCraftInstaller without restrictions.

I don't (that I know of) have any restrictions, nor have I recalled having any in the past for my folders. (I have yet to see the ".taleCraftInstaller" folder show up because the installer hasn't worked for me yet, regardless of how many times I redownload it)
I am able to download the two Forge errors manually, but, of course, I have no idea where I'd put them or unzip them to..

Does it just do nothing for you? That's what it does for me, although last time I tried was a week or so ago.

Nothing of that can be used.
I think I will just go for a testfor-filter that can be set in the camera-block.

A Kinemacanimator-System of that size and complexity can only be made once scripting is complete, since it has to be based on scripting.

and then I will instantly continue on TC work (/scripting).

Edit: Reinstalling the TaleCraft installer seemed to fix that issue. But, now I can't start the game when I select TaleCraft.

You forgot to install Forge, or you installed the wrong version of it.

But yeah, I have it working now. These tools are going to be fun to use. Thanks for the help.
Okay, happy to hear that!
I am gonna write in the main-post that this version (should) works too.

Wait, so when you find the version of Forge that works for you, THEN the Talecraft's launcher runs with Java?
So, once I downloaded that version of Forge it worked fine.
If you're talking about the installer for TaleCraft, all I did was redownload it.
What one should ALSO try is to DELETE the installers cache directory.
Which is located at: %APPDATA%/.taleCraftInstaller/
Or something like that! Its different for all systems!
Delete it, redownload the installer, try it again.

No one can help you without the development-console log.
Can we have it please?

This is the same problem I'm having, and I think it has to do with Forge and the Minecraft Launcher version 1.2.1. None of the "1.6.2" versions have worked for me so far and I've tried 8 of them.
It's probably the same as the log I posted most recently...
P.S. Do you need a working Forge for it to be able to run your TaleCraft Installer properly?
The installer and TaleCraft itself need the following to work:

Does it just do nothing for you? That's what it does for me, although last time I tried was a week or so ago.
