I'm currently making an Item that will have all amazing modulation
If you decide to use one of my ideas, please give a notification on what causes you are going to do with it.
All of these modes require a special type of items that I will add and you need to add them in a Tardis Console to get the modes, so it will be a bit balanced, you will need resources to add to it. If you're on a server and other people are playing with you either friends or other random people, they need to upgrade the Screwdriver for themselves
When the Tardis is implemented, you can recharge your Sonic Screwdriver.
I am still wondering if the Screwdriver should be 3D or just regular texture for it (3D will be modeled in Cinema4D both 10th and 11th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver will be configurable so you can choose which one you like)
One question, would it be cool if the Sonic Screwdriver auto crafted item, takes items from inventory and check what you can make with them and then you can craft the item you're looking for?
Might I suggest not adding modes that can damage? Don't get me wrong, it looks promising, but the sonic screwdriver cannot kill, wound, hurt, and maim. That's coming from someone who has watched every series of Doctor Who since 2005.
Like I said...looks promising, but too harmful.
Keep up the good work!
uhm... I watched every episode from 2005, in 1 week.. every single episode:] and considering watching the 1963 series to 2005, but just a thought
Hey TechMac where you say door mode. do you mean all doors open or only those you point your cursor towards. because if its all doors i could make some pretty interesting traps for the doctor.

There are multiple choices for it really, but the simplest explanation is that you basically hold it, and where you look, a redstone signal will open doors, but not wooden doors cause that would be silly

No, The Doctor has claimed before the screwdriver can be harmful, he can shut down a daleks brain if he needed to. Plus, he clearly kills the silence in the episode Day of The Moon, the Doctor uses the screwdriver to turn the electricity the silence shot at him against them, killing them while River shot too

So it's like a handheld Redstone torch? Epic
Do you think you could make a interference mode? so that you can shut down force fields from MFFS? that would be awesome.

Dont forget that the doctor can do some crazy stuff with machines, even trigger explosives. Its a sonic screwdriver, surely any damge modes would consist of such a high frequency mode that it would either hurt your ears or your brain.
Maybe even a mode that makes wolves and other peoples dogs like you (you know from high pitch noises)

If I would interact with MFFS2, It needs to have a certain percent for it to bypass the forcefield, and that would be extremely OP if you just could walk right through a forcefield. The Sonic Screwdriver are unable to open wooden doors

LOL, maybe a mode that would let you bypass the force-field if you are:
A) the owner of the force-field
Server OP
C) permitted by OP
D) permitted by force-field owner
E) Extremely awesome
also you could make a mode that you right click and it puts up a text-box you type in codes and get certain modes
on servers the admin could set which ones different people and ranks are allowed to use which codes. and you could make codes for modes that only specific usernames can use like one for Roadcrosser = potato rain
Roadcrosser i never said the code would be secret i said it would be available only for specific usernames.
Also TechMac maybe you could make some special modes for donors I don't know if that would make you like Pam from harvest-craft but just a thought.

I don't know, people seems to gasp every time someone mentions donations, I will have to see, Maybe people want a 3D Bow tie or something
It would be cool to auto craft but you would have to either make it run using a GUI or command line style. how would you go about making the module...
Explain how you would go about crafting items: what will the interface look like, GUI?, Command line?, menu?, chat command? what about coding, do you know how to make the screwdriver detect inventory contents, maybe take a look at NEI's recipe code, see how you would go about making the items craft, will you include animations?, plan it all out. is there going to be any problems? and if so how can you circumvent them? Can you figure out how to include items and recipes from other mods in your auto crafting. maybe have separate modules with recipes from each separate mod. like the creative tabs in vanilla. think and plan out everything, before you start trying to code it. also make sure not to make incompatibilities with other mods incase you force a user into picking between two good mods. ill expect a comment by tuesday entailing your thoughts

just my 2 cents
What part of "secret" do you not understand? ^.^
Secrets are here for being kept, when you say that, it's not a secret >.<
