Hey machinemuse, I am still totally loving this mod. One of my favorite. I'm looking forward for the 1.5 integration so we can update the mod spotlight we did with all the new stuff that's coming down the pipes. I'm glad to have the auto feeder give you a numerical value again as well.
1.5 version seems to be working pretty well despite the huge red warning on Jenkins, so if you wanna test it, go ahead Note that only UE seems to be ready as far as dependencies go, so don't go trying to port a developed IC2 world for example.
MachineMuse, can i collaborate? I am not a modder, and textures are a pain for me, but could i maybe be the ''idea`s guy''?
No, you can't be my 'ideas guy', we covered that already, and no, don't 'just post them' either. I will just make fun of them. Since you can't seem to figure out how to stop posting, though, you could be my scratching post instead? It's sooo much more enjoyable with blood and screaming.
i really wish downloading mods worked for me its confusing for the mac since i am making a skin of the white power suit i am having troubles finding pictures if you have any sideways screenshots could you send them to me and backwards and tops of the head of the helmet that would help alot and id appreciate it creepahs

Try 7 zip for mac, or StuffitExpand, to open the modular powersuits file and you'll find a folder with a bunch of .png's (I think they start as .png's on a mac). There should be one for the head, chest, etc, and just open and edit them, and you can make your power suit look however you like.

Ya know what's awesome? On a mac, there is no need for 7-zip/winrar/other-stuff-like-that. Basically if it's a folder, you double click it, if it's a zip file, double click it, if it's a j.ar file, right-click and open with archive utility(comes with the mac). but if it's a .rar file, then you will have some trouble(I use UnrarX.app). and by 'it' I mean general files, i know MPS is a jar. and you're right, they would be .png files

Thanks for the heads, it's been years since I've played games on a mac.

*winces* I used to use a mac, you can't just open a jar with archive utility. Well, you can, but you cant zip it back up again easilly. It might be different for just messing with mod files as opposed to the base minecraft.jar, but I remember having to go through all kinds of insane rigamaroll to get anything that involves editing a .jar to work on a mac.
Ok so I am using build .199 and I have to questions. The first is about the new autofeeder. My helmet already have an internal food filled to over 2000 so I'm assuming I won't be consuming any food until that drops? The auto feed function now works similar to the quantum helmet consuming canned food?
Secondly when I now try to use my blink drive, I can't teleport more the like five blocks. If I can highlight the block then I can teleport to it, otherwise nada. Not so useful for me now. Or do I have to use the tinker table to beef it up? I literally just thought about that as I was typing. I just figured it out. I saw that you now adjust it in the tinker table. Derp!!!!
Like I said my buddy and me want to do a followup soon to our mod spotlight and I want to make sure I understand how this stuff works. Thanks!!!!!

Yup you got it
By the way! The mod is now updated for 1.5.1 as far as I know. IC2 isn't, but UE is, so if you want to play it with UE, go for it!
no they are part of MPS-addons which is an addon coming out soon. there is a build but it is for 1.5.0 which is unfortunately not compatible with 1.5.1. (andrew2448's addons: the auto-feeder, generators, and portable crafting table, with an item magnet and torch placer on the way). We're still working on getting Andrew a proper build server but in the meantime your modules are not lost! They are stored in NBT data like enchantments and will reappear when MPSA is installed.
EDIT:
MPSA is now available for download. Not sure if it will work with the current version of MPS but he will be updating it today.

Ummmmm... not on my mac? At least on snow leopard, I forget if I tried it on Mountain Lion(updating to which was a very dumb decision on my part).
Can you add a option in the config to remove the weight effects?
You should actually check the config before asking these sorts of questions. Each module includes how much the weight is adjusted for the items in question, if you just set them to 0 then weight it's not included, problem solved. I actually like the weight though, it means I need to balance my decisions, adding more goodies also has a notable downside to pair it with. You can have a heavy suit with tons of armor and like no knockback so you can just wail on people or use the railgun with almost no recoil; or you can have a zippy fast suit, more agile and more able to use the jet packs and the like, but with either smaller batteries or more prone to damage. Actually, while talking about weight, can we add a hud peice or a tinker's table counter that lists your total weight? It is a bit fiddly checking each item individually.
I know there's always been a bit of a disagreement between mods that add technological or otherwise unbreakable tools, but will there ever be a module that allows you to enchant your power suit? I think the glow would look really good on it, particularly if you had animated enchantments installed as well; making my suit all fiery or whatever in animation over the texture would be pleasant. The other effects of enchanting are fairly enjoyable, but I think the majority of enchantments are covered by the armor itself... (though it would be fun to double up the protection.)

no not a clue sry
without any details I can't help you. have you tried just deleting your voltz folder and reinstalling it?
