I'd like to see you code a mod of this caliber all alone, with no team, and not much java knowledge.
It might be possible for you, but not everyone can work as fast as someone else.
It just needs to be compatable with Industrialcraft is all I can say, i've been spending the past day making a completely electrified base that I hope will keep my busy
As for idea's I have a couple
When the flood comes doors and windows should break of course, as well as caves should flood, lava should turn into obsidian around the bedrock level if theres a cave letting into it, and unloaded chunks should have every block of natural untouched land flooded. Ice should also break blocks, in reality water can flood into cracks, ice expands and it makes the crack bigger thus it can cause a structure to simply break.
When the water has risen completely every water block should freeze over meaning getting out of a iced house should be difficult.
With the ice reflecting sunlight the surface if reached is now in past sub zero and you will need protective clothing(leather) to go up and even that will only give limited protection. dropped items should freeze over and be destroyed. The player will take damage from frostbite if any part of him his exposed to the outside air, however if your inside a home or something you would be fine since it was man made, building new structures require fireplaces to keep the heat flowing.
Wolves somehow survived and with the source of food gone will now hunt the player in packs, having a tamed wolf won't change anything, but new spawned wolves will become instantly hostile and cannot be tamed.
Night time should last longer due to this event, and thus mobs will have longer to move around, hostile mobs will be more aggressive and more numerous, the spawn rate for them should be tripled.
Just a few idea's that I in a way pulled out of my butt on the spot, but thats my ideal vision of an apocolaypse
PS. Oceans should have water left in them in the bottom, the top layer should freeze over but the water under it should stay water
Not trying to make things harder, but would it be possible to make it where the land floods with water, and on that note being able to use it on a server would be amazing since I run a small one from my ASUS, me and the other 4 people on here need a reason to go underground other than me saying "Alright guys lets go!" I need a legit reason

MCForge powers almost every good mod out there. And I say almost, BTW and a couple others are exceptions.
If there's no MCForge compatibility, then there is no chance of any of the good mods out there to have compatibility.

I would say do both but that would be impossible to maintain easy so I have no idea :P.
If you make this mod I will definatly play it and I know for a fact that this will get tons of attention. It looks like it will be pretty amazing if it works.

My modteam and I are working to get the mod out there. I intended for the mod to be fun, at first for personal reasons but now it seems the public enjoy it.
