Long before the evils of this world were introduced, the archon kept peace between the ancients and the humans. Then, one day, the Ancients of the Shade became impatient with the archon, and crafted dangerous tools that they presented to the human elders. The elders became drunk with power, and began to plan out the assassination of the archon. Finally, the humans carried out their plans, and killed the archon. Almost immediately after the archon was dead, the ancients attacked the humans, released countless evils, and destroyed their weapons. Now, as the last one left, you must remake these weapons, and end the ancients reign over the land you call home.
My Experience and My Role in the Mod:
I'll be creating the textures for new blocks and items
I've created countless custom texture packs, none of which were released due to unrelated matters.
Although this is my first time working on a mod, I've been thinking this over for about a month, and I have a basic idea of the theme.

Obsidian Kiln
Let me just say that the Obsidian Kiln makes the original furnace look like an Easy-Bake Oven
It will start off with unlimited fuel, but cooks at only a fraction of the speed of the normal furnace, but when fuel is added, it cooks at twice the speed of the Furnace, making it fuel efficient, but not reliant.
It uses Fire Charges as fuel, which are completely depleted after cooking about 16 items, making them as efficient as two coal.
The kiln is also used to refine Obsidian into an Obsidian Bar which is used in the crafting of Obsidian Armor and tools.
It has the hardness of Obsidian, so be cautious when placing it or you may be stuck for a bit mining it back out!
Wooden Golem
The Wooden Golem is the Iron Golem's high-tech cousin-in-law.
Compared to the Iron Golem, the Wooden Golem attacks lightning fast, but has low health and knockback ratings, while maintaining the same damage.
The Wooden Golem is created by placing a three-block-high line of wooden planks, then placing pistons on the left and right sides of the middle block, then placing a Redstone Torch on the right side of the top block and a Lever on his chest, and finally by pulling the lever to bring him to life.
He drops 3 wooden planks, 2 sticks, and 1 redstone on death.
Sand Spirit
This little guy is the Blaze's sand-sculpted little buddy; we have zero remorse to say he does not bomb your home.
The Sand Spirit will spawn in naturally occurring structures in deserts that are currently referred to as "Sand Tombs" for lack of a better name.
They will move very quickly and attack to deal 3 hearts of melee damage without armor. They will attempt to avoid the player's cursor.
They do no burn in the sun, but will almost instantly die if they come in contact with rain or snow.
Obsidian Armor
More durability can't weigh you down! Well, maybe not TOO much...
2.5x Durability of Diamond Armor
Made using Obsidian Bars and Obsidian Hearts. (Not shown YET)
For the coding you want done all of that stuff is fairly easy and you could probably do it yourself if you looked up some tutorials and it would probably be faster. If you ever need any help you can PM me questions.

I can atleast add new items, and im sure by scanning through the enchanted codes, i can figure out animated textures.
Biomes im not too sure about, May need some help, But ill try nevertheless.
And the "Afraid" Mob types sounds kinda like a zombie pigman, So it should be no problem.
