Flight Gui is one of many different GUI modes for the tardis. This is something i finished just a few hours ago and is currently in the process of being implimented, the first image is of normal flying screen on a surface of a planet, the second image is when the tardis is hit by something or crashes into something (actual tardis in image is a static screenshot and doesnt display the actions)

Ever since I was a child... I looked into the Vortex and that's when it chose me. The Drumming. The Call. To War.
1: if there's only one rift, you can get stranded.
2: you're making a very specific place, but SOMEHOW i doubt you'll make the entire city. are you going to do anything about that? and where would the hub be if there is no city?
also, i don't think you should be able to access the end. i don't think it's really anywhere "on" earth. is it like a different dimension or something? that's how most people refer to both that and the nether. (don't care as much about the nether, but you should at least have to make a portal first.)

2) Ive already built many metropolis' that can be adapted to look like cardif but i think we are just going to use the Torchwood HUB I built. I may make the millenium building and I may not.
very very good point. Dimensions are being re-worked in the way they are percieved in the mod. instead of Dimensions they are different Astral Planes....kind of...out of synch with our universe but not a parallel dimension

So you all have seen the SOME of the features of the TARDIS in the last few videos we have released the past few days. Well today, im going to show you features of 2 (maybe 3) GUI's we have been working our A$es off on, so we hope you enjoy and post a reply to this topic saying how sexy the GUI's are :biggrin.gif:.
T.A.R.D.I.S World Selection Interface:
As everything in this GUI has not been completed I cannot give you a 100% accurate detail write-up on all the features but what I can tell you is this GUI is 100% player interactive. The World Selection Interface displays a real time display of the universe and the solar systems that are accessible as well as the planets that are accessible to you as the doctor. there are 3 modes to this GUI, The Universe, The Solar Systems, and the Planets. Each of these are represented by a 3D icon that directly interacts with the world / solar system you are looking at. At first you will have a limited amount of planets you are allowed to travel to. This is a result of the disease that effected the TARDIS Huon Matrix. The TARDIS crashes in the spawn scene and one of the results of that, some TARDIS components were scattered throughout time and space, in this case the components that were scattered happen to be the TARDIS Memory Database Crystals. The consequences of this action turn out to be that several of the planets being added into the mod have become un-accessible. The planets you can access will have their icons "Lit Up" and respectivly the planets that have been deleted from the TARDIS Memory matrix will have their icons dimmed. Now don't get the wrong idea, there will be plenty of planets still left in the database. The option to recover crystals is entirely up to you if you want to take it and adventure to new planets. Each planet will of course have their own set of features and characteristics and quirky things you will love. In the GUI named T.A.R.D.I.S World Selection Interface, there are many many features that will not be apparent to you at first....including the W------ly Easter Egg for you and comets and spaceships en route to their destination. So IM just going to stop talking now and show you :smile.gif:
T.A.R.D.I.S World Surface Flight GUI:
Many of you have voiced concerns about the TARDIS flight. Well simply put, the T.A.R.D.I.S can fly in any kind of space. It does it all the time you just dont see it on screen. The T.A.R.D.I.S doesnt just go womp womp wurr wurr and magically appear somewhere. What it does is it creates a tunnel through Space-Time, what that does is it "folds" space in a way that connects point A to point B in a short distance, rather than a greater distance. Now when the tardis dematerializes it goes into the Time Vortex (which is just the name labeled in the show, its scientifically a Space Time Vortex) and it has to navigate the tunnels of the vortex to reach its destination. Now the TARDIS has a limited autopilot function which is why you rarely see the Doctor ever really navigating. In the Doctor Who Client Mod that option will be there too, but you will still need to view the tardis in flight either on the GUI or the monitor on the TARDIS Console that displays the GUI while you walk about the console room. The T.A.R.D.I.S World Surface Flight GUIfeatures three spherical shapes that contain galifreyan symbols that interact and change with your movments, an button to access the World Selection GUI, A Velocity (speed) measurement panel, and a Co-ordinate display panel which also serves as a co-ordinate flight path input tool. At the bottom measures the amount of energy the TARDIS has left to fly in that manner before needing to rejuvenate its energy stores for flight. There will be a seperate GUI for monitoring the amount of energy you have until you have to go to a rift and refuel the tardis. There are going to be AT LEAST 2 different modes in this specific GUI.

And a flash of staticy disturbance if you crash into something or the tardis is hit with energy beams etc

Hey, this OP looks great, much neater than the old one. However, did we decide to scrap the fobwatch?
The Fobwatch would be a very cool feature, i.e. you could use it to store your "inner timelord", therefor making it possible to sneak past the doctor who mobs ( not the regular ones i.e. creepers) without them trying to kill you (with the exception of the mobs that go for any old human anyway i.e. Cybermen.
This is altogehter a great mod

I bet this mod will make it up there along with mo'creatures and the Aether.
This mod is like a whole pack, not just a single mod.
You should add companions that you have a certain chance of meeting every time you visit specific planets
The possibilities for multiplayer with this mod are endless, i.e. one could be The Doctor, and the other could be companion( WARNING: May cause massive fights)
The idea of having a sonic screwdriver and the Tardis in-game is mind-blowing, but different planets? AMAZING!!!!!!
I am a massive doctor who fan and will most likely download this mod and use it tons.

The idea of having a sonic screwdriver and the Tardis in-game is mind-blowing, but different planets? AMAZING!!!!!!

We thought about it and they are absolutly impossible to add into sandbox nature of the game, their very nature of being would be impossible
