O great and exalted developer of the Zipline Mod, we, the Minecraft community, kindly beseech you to update its code so that it may be compatible with Minecraft, version 1.8, thus permitting all to enjoy its awesomeness.
1.9 is out soon. I think you will survive until 1.9 without this mod, he dont want to make it for 1.8 because he knows he will have to rewrite it again. But who knows, maybe he is doing 1.8 version right now.
I don't really know why he would waste time modding 1.8, at this point, when 1.9 pre is out and the final will be out any day. Maybe I just don't understand the way mod development works, but it seems like if he made a 1.9 version it would work on 1.8 too.

It wont because the code in 1.9 will be little more altered than 1.8 so any 1.9 mods would screw up 1.8.1 and under,i hope that cleared it up for u and 1.9 is coming in a few weeks i think, and then MCP needs a week to update,so itll take a week or 2 before this mod becomes 1.9 compatible,if he uses MCP,if not then it wont be a problem.I personally think notch or someone should make a client to create mods that arent to complicated,so all you do is make name,id,function(selectable from list) and make or use premade texture and voila! u got .class file, that would be super useful in my opinion

If you read one of notch's tweets, it seems development will come to a halt soon, and fixing and tweaking will be the only thing going on, so I doubt the true 1.9 is coming out anytime this month.
EDIT: Here is my proof, it came from Notch's tumblr post on sep 29 "The plan is to stop all new development on October 18, and resume them again after the release on November 18. That will give us one month to focus on just fixing bugs, cleaning up the code, and optimizing the performance to make sure the release will be as good as possible."
so i was having a problem where i ran out of terrain sprites or something like that and found i needed to delete another mod to get this one to work. i can load my world and such and i've successfully made rope from string i made from wool. however when i tried to place leather the game crashed and i had to edit out the block using mcedit so my world would load again. any idea what's going on? i've got mo creatures, aether mod, extended farming(removed to fit this mod in), and various others
edit: just tried placing rope too, it crashed then as well. i was however able to see the rope being placed and fall to the floor before it crashed. please helppppp
editedit: i've also changed the block id using the config file that shows up in .minecraft/mods/zipline and i changed it to 221-224 to avoid some id conflicts. not sure if that helps but thanks in advance!
plz
1.9 actually would be cool.
Hit the bridge/ropes and they should gain gravity. Just tap it though, don't break it.

Mostly moved on. May check back a few times a year.

Pretty gosh darn epic if I do say so myself.
>.<
A Par-sec is not a length of time.
It is a unit of measurement.
...So is a light year. I don't understand your point. 7 parsecs = 22 lightyears. He stated that it wasn't that LONG. Long is a LENGTH.
The irony is delicious. You try to correct him on something in which YOU are the one who is wrong. Lightyear = distance
