The goal of this mod is to implement Predator's from the predator universe into Minecraft. It will start off as a simple addition of various items and equipment from the Predator universe and will eventually evolve into its own separate multiplayer game mode. I also intend to make a single player version for those who simply wish to use the weapons included with the mod.

The following are Predator weapons which I intend to include within the project.
Biohelmet: A Predator's mask or Biohelmet can serve various functions. Some are purely aesthetic and ceremonial serving no other function other than to intimidate their prey. Others house various amenities to aid the Predator on its hunt, ranging from simple respirators to aid in breathing to various visual settings to aid in targeting its prey. I intend to implement some sort of alternate vision settings, possible using renders placed on top of player locations to point them out to predators, however, I am still looking into alternative methods as to how to accomplish this.
Wrist Blades: Predators are natural hunters and prefer to get up close and personal to their targets. These will be the standard issue weapons for a predator.
Plasma Caster: A shoulder mounted weapon capable of firing highly energized particles at immense speeds. This will serve as an endgame type weapon which will only become available towards the end of a game due to its capability of being abused.
Spear Gun: A handheld projectile launcher capable of firing projectiles silently and effectively over great distances. I am not too sure on whether or not I will actually implement a spear gun due to the fact that I cannot see a way to keep it balanced while at the same time apart from the plasma caster at this time. I am open to any suggestions on this matter.
Net Gun: Launches a small web at the target, slowing them for a time. This will be used mainly to gain an advantage on a group of targets as it will slow any players caught within it and will take a couple of seconds to break.
Smart Disc: A razor sharp throwing disc fused with advanced circuitry. The blade uses mechanisms to control its movement in flight and can be called to a Predator at will. This is probably one of the more difficult weapons to create because it involves using trajectory calculations to create a more realistic flight and also requires rangers and tracers for obstacle avoidance on its flight back to the owner. Any suggestions on how to implement some of these features(especially obstacle avoidance) would be greatly appreciated.
Remote Bomb: A throwing blade similar to the smart disc, however, modified with explosives for an extra flair. These will be able to be detonated at will and serve as a way for predator's to set traps.

The main idea behind the game mode part of the code is to create a strategic multiplayer experience. Teams will be divided up into humans and
Predators, with the humans outnumbering the Predators. The goal of the Predators will be to hunt any remaining humans while the humans will simply have to survive a set amount of time or complete a map based objective. Any time a player is killed, a skull will be dropped. This will serve as the currency for Predator's to use to purchase further upgrades to their arsenal. The use of Predator equipment will require the use of energy which can be obtained through energy synthesizer or quite possibly require stealing it from various humanoid sources. Since the game mode will probably be the last part of the code I create, I am open to any and all suggestions on how to change or improve it. To be honest I don't entirely like my current idea for the current game mode and I intend to make significant changes over time.

I intend to make this mod in stages. The first of which is to simply create graphical "stubs" for all of the parts of the code. During this stage I will simply create all of the graphics and create empty shells of the code for each piece of equipment. This is to provide me with a wider variety of sub projects to work on and keep me interested in the project. After each of the "stubs" are created, I will swap back and forth between them and begin implementing the dynamic parts of their codes. After the dynamic section is completed, I will implement sounds for each piece of equipment and begin working on the game mode part of the code.

Can't belive im finaly seeing this slowly become a mod. I will gradly try this the moment it comes out. Just make sure that it zip and not .RAR because for some reason my computers cant work RAR.

I absolutely love this. But I have one question, in one stage of the mod will you add invisibility. Like it takes away the players name tag and there skin(sort of more like see through) so they are hard to see/spot by other players.

I have an idea for allowing some form of invisibility, however, this will require modification of Notch's code to allow transparent skins so we'll see how it goes. There may or may not be problems with doing something like this, however, I do plan to have some form of invisibility.
Here's a WIP video. I haven't really been able to work on the mod much, so nothing too great in this one. I was originally using a hud based on AVP2 before I decided to switch over to this one. It needs a lot of cleaning up, not to mention the fact that the energy is still using the old AVP2 style for its display. The final version will be more animated instead of just instantly switching between frames.
I have an idea for allowing some form of invisibility, however, this will require modification of Notch's code to allow transparent skins so we'll see how it goes. There may or may not be problems with doing something like this, however, I do plan to have some form of invisibility.

Is there a way that you can take away the fall damage sound so you can be more stealthy or it that sound can be used to the humans advantage where if they hear that sound they know that either there is predator near by or that one of there team mates is being hurt.
