Dude,you have to use last days,if not,you will kill half of the servers population because they will have to choose,keep a texture pack that gets updated freequently and has a dedicated team,but no mod,or an awesome mod that might have a lacking texture pack because they don't have a whole team working just in art for it,so,please,use the last days,because if you don't,the servers WILL look crappy but have this kickass mod,or look awesome but have no awesome mods,lso,if you just make the textures for the stuff you will use,not only can you add more detail but have a whole lot of time for making the stuf you NEED to do,like the clothing things textures!

is that if you use the last days texturepack (you already made your point and i see you won't use it)instead of focusing on making a texture for every single thing in the game,you can focus only in the items and stuff you will add,and add ultra detailed textures to them,with less work too.

I thought that if you could make custom stuff,custom bolts would be something like this.

you can get a regular stick,you can lubricate it with porkchop (can't burn it anymore) to make a lubricated stick,IF you didn't lubricate it right away you can burn it and turn it into a burned stick,add porkchop and make it into a lubricated burnt stick wich is best of all:

the important thing to realize with computer programming is that anything is possible. I realize the scope of this project and the complexity of it all but have no fear, it ALL can be done. It will just take time.

yes,i heard from thhis mod in our server,about adding it...i give full yes,if you can the first thing i'll do is make a gun (my char knows a bit about engenieerin a lot about mechanics and some stuf about computers) make some VERY usefull/awesome looking clothing like capes and hoods,check out radiation,look for some alcohol basiclly,i would love it and slip into it instantly!

ooh,and about the ciphers,forget i said it,they are a very good concept,just thought they were a bit out of context,but i would like to fight them someday,oh,and...i have an idea for their "tracking system" (remember im not an experienced programer and im a n00b so my idea might be **** in a can) what if you use the character and add a dot (entity/object type thing)to its back,when the cipher is in direct eye contact with the dot,it attacks,and the only thing able to obstruct the dot is the character itself,BUT if this works as i imagine it should,the ciphers would track you all the time,just that they wouldn't be able to go through 2 block thick walls (once again,im a programer n00b that only uses game maker,so i don't even know the basics).

I honestly could care less about your age. The fact that your both young and in to programming (in my mind) puts you above the rest. Programming languages teach you very important things like complex problem solving, critical thinking, and a whole load of actually useful things that you'll use every day of your life.
I am heavily considering wether or not giving your admin the server files. I was a bit shocked to see the reactivity of the Admin in the face of a enraged user. Using profanity... I have a decent server lying around that i bought a while ago from a legitimate virtual dedicated server provider (godaddy.com). Virtually no lag, just bad memories :tongue.gif:. I may or I may not. Today was not a good day on the server.
The fact that your character is good at something right off the bat just because you said so in your application wont matter in the Wastelands. If you want to be good at something then practice it and after awhile, if you practice it enough, you truly can be "good" at whatever skill. I'm planning on making practicing skills not easy, but not incredibly difficult. So if your a gun-smith and an explosives expert and you can successfully make a "Big-John", which will be a difficult weapon to make; That will truly be a accomplishment that you can feel brag good about. Things like that will make you obviously distinguished above other users.
I was thinking for the radar. just in a simple manner, you would be a white dot, enemies red, passive mobs green, and the transparency of the dots will be affected depending on how high or low in relation to you they are. Simple and easy to understand, and maybe with an engineering skill you can make better and better (but also more complicated) radars that give different and better features then the basic start off one. Also ciphers will have a hostility radius. If you can out run then or gain distance from them you should be fine. Unless of course your in a cave cause then you'd probably die :tongue.gif:.

You know,it was a horrible day at the server,the Admin chose to do something without warning,he could have at least asked,like,not made a votation but asked,but you have to recognize (is that the word?) that he was calm during both of the rage bursts against him,except for the last part with TJ,this had never happened in the server history (well,at least that i know) but it wassn't completelydan's fault,if Smoke and TJ had calmed down,the problem would have been shorter.
Well,my char issn't like...talented,his father raised him in a mechanic farm and taught him to fix every single maachine,his father even made a robotic version of a pig,for storage,i mean,i don't just say it,he spent half his life doing it,and remember,he is just very good at crating,mechanics and all that stuff,but i never said he had any idea of how to properly use a landmine,he could make them,and make them work,and use them,but,in the end,he knows nothing about explosions.
About the radars,what if you made them in a block form,this way it wouldn't be unfair in pvp style things,lets say like...in corridors or forests being shift and silent would be disabled (sadly) so,if you made it a block people could place it in their bases and camps.
About big jhon...how sure are you that it won't be unfair?

I was thinking for the radar. just in a simple manner, you would be a white dot, enemies red, passive mobs green, and the transparency of the dots will be affected depending on how high or low in relation to you they are. Simple and easy to understand, and maybe with an engineering skill you can make better and better (but also more complicated) radars that give different and better features then the basic start off one. Also ciphers will have a hostility radius. If you can out run then or gain distance from them you should be fine. Unless of course your in a cave cause then you'd probably die :tongue.gif:.
I dont want to do that but it does seem kind of necessary. I just feel like if i don't update it every day then people will think im not working on it.

You know,it was a horrible day at the server,the Admin chose to do something without warning,he could have at least asked,like,not made a votation but asked,but you have to recognize (is that the word?) that he was calm during both of the rage bursts against him,except for the last part with TJ,this had never happened in the server history (well,at least that i know) but it wassn't completelydan's fault,if Smoke and TJ had calmed down,the problem would have been shorter.
Well,my char issn't like...talented,his father raised him in a mechanic farm and taught him to fix every single maachine,his father even made a robotic version of a pig,for storage,i mean,i don't just say it,he spent half his life doing it,and remember,he is just very good at crating,mechanics and all that stuff,but i never said he had any idea of how to properly use a landmine,he could make them,and make them work,and use them,but,in the end,he knows nothing about explosions.
About the radars,what if you made them in a block form,this way it wouldn't be unfair in pvp style things,lets say like...in corridors or forests being shift and silent would be disabled (sadly) so,if you made it a block people could place it in their bases and camps.
About big jhon...how sure are you that it won't be unfair?
And about skills...Will you need certain skills to craft certain stuff,or play cerain crafting minigames?

well,it has happened to many people with projects,on the bright side,this tool takes out the anoying people saying: When will it come out? when will it come out? when will it come out?,also,it lets your team AND the users see what needs a bit more work or atention,also giving a..."boost" to the mood by cheking it out and finding out the mod is almost ready,or progressing,but of course,this can also bring a counter effect if there are problems and as you said,if you7 don't update it,it will look like nothing happened,but well...there are the pros/contras.

seeing how hard it will be to make even if you have the skill level, I would say its fair. Plus you still need to make the ammunition for it, you think i was gonna make that easy as well lol?
