Added "Hud's and interfaces" section and expanded on radiation by adding the radiation effects which i failed to add earlier. added experience bar which will be up to deeper analysis later.

Edit: Come to think of it, if i know anything from using Last Days, and from playing with the Walled City Generator, i think trees might ruin some environments. You could possibly collect wood from random buildings or outposts you find.
As well, i thought of two new things.
One: Tumbleweeds would be cool, although hard, most likely.
Two: Little Desert gusts and whirlwinds would also be cool, like the ones Kodaichi made.
so i dont know what either of those are but if i work in a decent temperature system then it trees and vegetation should fit in just fine. imagine walking a deserted city and on the exact opposite side of it is a dense marshy area, while on the other end is a dirt type area with sparse vegetation. NOT dry just sparse vegetation. that doesnt seem completly wierd to me, i think it makes alot of sense actually. unless you think there is some other reason the please explain, something like this could be crucial :tongue.gif: also keep in mind that trees and such will not be the typical game trees. they will be custom and (hopefully) a mirror of the enviornment they are put into.
I do like your tumble weeds idea, they actually shouldnt be too hard to do at all. I think ill include this for those dryer areas of the game.
i feel like your imagining this as a desert area. dont. it will have almost every type of biome just with a destroyed and forgotten feeling to it and the areas will be massivly generated. notch made deserts and snow areas pretty confined in the game. probly anywere between 20-200 blocks in the x and z coords. i am planning to generate these areas (more of areas then biomes) somewere on a more common scale of 500 in the x and z.
also something to keep in mind is that this mod will never be finished. I'm planning to just add and add to it till essentially it becomes a minecraft expansionpack rather then a mod.
added a "character skills and attributes" section and a new subsection within that section labeled "malfunctions" containing 2 new concepts. 1- gun-smith malfunctions 2- explosive malfunctions. I also (of course) elaborated and "made prettier" an already existing section and its ideas.
Added a skills mini-game and devices section along with some interesting new concepts with in them. mainly having to do with skill mini game ideas. Added a books section with many more books than i had originally added.
The level of interest people seem to have in this project interests me... The only commenting that seems to be done appears to be my updates... Whats up?

Lol, it's alright you don't know what they are. And yea, i think that not only am i thinking too barren, i'm thinking too minuscule. This mod/expansion seems like it'll be insanely large and detailed, kind of like a whole revised version of Minecraft, as a realm. Also, for some areas, do you think there'd be a way you could make dirt not grow grass on it? That might look good in some more barren biomes.

I was going to make several types of "barren", if you will, soil types that would not grow grass. for the most part yes, the Wastelands will be dead but there will be speratic pockets of life every here and there which could be as insignificant as a bush to as extreme as a dense marsh. ill be adding some more concepts today aswell so you might see some good examples.
and ya the hopes i had for this mod was for to eventually break the boundries of a mod and start to reach into the realm of more of an expansion pack.

I like your idea but I believe it is too complicated, not for the player but for the modder, I really doubt that any modder can make such things .

an important thing to realise about coding is that anything is possible. in todays's world we have computers generating atrificial universes (literally entire universes). so while this may indeed be a complex mod. it can be done and will be done. its important to realize that anything is possible.

This would eliminate your aspect of roleplaying though. instead of roleplaying it would become gamplay because everything would actually be there instead of having to pretend they exist threw a texture pack.
do keep in mind that you will be the only one with the files neccisary to do this meaning you would literally be the only server that has the capabilities to do something like this (host this mod on a server).
in exchange for the files, me and my mod team simply request admition and admin privaliges on your server, so we can easily test new aspects of server (and mod) gameplay. There is only 3 of us and we will try to stay out of players ways during the process of testing.

I might pull it off though! But it will be a hard challenge! You will first need to make the mod at least before we actually start talking about this. I guess i will need to talk with my server players about this one. I don't want to be a bad and selfish admin and just adding random mods. Because in order to have a mod like this. All of the players will need to download this in order to get log in, or else they will get kicked. But this mod would help and make the server, and the roleplay 75% more epic and fun. But the thing i'm worried about, is the down times of the server and the lag the mod might make. I suggest you make the mod, test it on single player for a bit. Then try yourself on multilayer! In that time i think my server has decided to either implement this mod or not..
