worldedit commands are not supported by the command block. the command block does not have access to every command in the game even some of the vanilla ones. im sure that there could be a fix for this however it would be either bukkit or perhaps mojang that would need to do this. im sorry to say but there is probably not going to be a way to use non programmed commands any time soon.
Actually, you can use non programmed commands. I can use /mv tp (Multiverse Teleport) just fine. You should also be able to make region selections using //pos1 X,Y,Z and //pos2 X,Y,Z. Unfortunately, WorldEdit and WorldGuard don't support command blocks for some reason. It's a shame too, because I wanted to use WorldGuard's region flags to enable/disable mob spawning in a mini-game.
I have been thinking about this alot bukkit world edit should take a look into it cause it is something we could use for awesome servers i want to use it for my spleef areana

I couldn't agree more... I have a spleef arena that I would like to use //cyl 80 13 1 on at the push of a button so that my people don't have to physically type it in all the time. Having WE worked on Command Blocks would make the WE plugin even more better than it already is..... We gotta figure out a way to get this done.....

If you have essentials maybe you can use /sudo @p //pos2 X,Y,Z, i have a fully operating TF2 thing on my server with command blocks and red stone!
Here are the commands I used:
/sudo @p //pos1 370,70,-1654
/sudo @p //pos2 -384,67,-1626
/sudo @p //set 3
I have came to the conclusion that this just doesn't work, unless i typed the command in wrong, but i typed in //pos1 370,70,-1654 and the other two command and it made a huge block of dirt in front of me, anyone thing its possible? please post, seems like you guys are stuck tho...
I found this on the Minecraft wiki, good luck guys i'll post if i get it working!
If there's any mods for 12w32a, or future updates, I think it would be good trivia as to whether or not commands added by mods (ex: SPC, SMP Bukkit plugins) would work with the command blocks. This would let map makers know if they can use commands from their mods such as Worldedit in use of adventure maps, or if they can't, as well as say a mod is needed to play an adventure map to its full potential as structured. I'm not talking each individual mod. I'm wondering if the command block can actually use mod commands in general. Not talking specifics, those couple were just examples. There are many mods out there that add commands, it would be good trivia to know if the command block can only use vanilla commands or not be able to use "chocolate" commands. This is also a good place for such generalized information, it only involves commands and besides, wouldn't want to crash the game, would we? Or worse, be the cause of a crash because we didn't put information where it is centered upon AKA use of command blocks? Funky3000 04:30, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
That would probably be a question for Jeb, then; in particular, the block may not support mod commands as added by current versions of mods, but a method for adding such commands may be a part of the upcoming Mod API. 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 05:04, 13 August 2012 (UTC) http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Talk:Command_Block

I tried this anyway and it worked for me, using singleplayerCommands the sudo trick works fine, will try on bukkit

Tried it on a Bukkit server, and the Essentials /sudo command does not want to work for this at all. We had tried the CBWrapper plugin, but I think the admin downloaded for the wrong MC version. Guess we'll try again tomorrow.

old topic, but this happens because worldedit registers commands differently than most plugins.
You can just put c: infront of the command to make them chat the command, which in turn executes it.
Like so:
sudo thok c://paste

Sorry for bumping a rather old topic but I'm kinda inclined to think there are going to be a few problems with this approach.
1. sudo @p execution:
'sudo' would execute the command as if the player '@p' executed it, and you can't let normal players(non-op) have access to this command(aka worldedit commands).
2. sudo <player(probably OP)> execution:
If the player/op is in a different world than the one where the commandblock in question actually exists, then, //pos or any such worldedit command given would be executed in respect to that player/op, aka, in that world.
3. console execution:
Even if a direct approach(without using sudo/@p/player) was possible, worldedit would return a "Command could not be handled: Invalid Sender!" error, because the worldedit plugin wouldn't know which 'world' the console is referring to, since unlike the player, the console isn't an entity in a particular world.
The only way through would be if the console used the commandblock as an eligible sender for the worldedit plugin.

Because the sudo command already adds a "/" to what ever you sudo them to do, thus why we only need one "/" in what we have them do.

use sudo from essentials but instead of /sudo @p //set 50%stone,5%diamond_ore,15%gravel,30%infested_stone, you need it to go in chat os, use the commend /sudo @p c://set 50%stone,5%diamond_ore,15%gravel,30%infested_stone
Note: Obviously you can't make region selections, but shouldn't replacenear and such work?
