I'm wanting to make a mod, but I'm out of ideas. If anyone has an ORIGINAL thought that they want made into a mod, reply to this topic and I'll see what I can do.
this isn't completely original, but there are no mods like this out right now. Make a sniper pack with sniper guns, handguns, mines/claymores, and special armor for being undetectable.
israphel mod i would love to expand on the herobrine mod and do a israphel the health set should be twice the players and damage is 5 hearts and carries sword, diamond and drops it to umm spawns in the end and the nether and every single other biome (nether biome in eclipse is hell) and hmm an israphel skin please look it up
Unfinished, but well polished idea is in spoilers below, been working on it for a while. I think it's pretty good personally, could be tweaked.
Hello everyone! I've been looking around for some mods that fit this description, but as there are none, I thought I'd add it in the suggestions. It's mostly a BuildCraft addon, but will at some point hopefully become independent (or not, BuildCraft is a lovely mod which I would recommend to anyone). I'm not a very skilled Java programmer, else I would program it myself, though I'd be willing to assist anyone who is thinking of taking on this project as best I can. Any recipe pictures that I can provide will be shown in spoilers at the bottom (eventually). On to the idea!
Have you ever been annoyed by how slowly you move? Jetpacks from IndustrialCraft not working out for you? Here's the solution: the HeliPack items! This idea came from the games from the franchise Ratchet & Clank, a lovely series developed by Insomniac Games. Essentially, there will be three to five items (eventually basic upgrades will be added as well), some of which upgrade into each other. All of these creations are equipped on the torso, much like the Jetpacks in IndustrialCraft.
The first and primary one would be the HeliPack, a somewhat Spartan creation made from redstone, a chest, wooden planks, and a wooden rotor (made by surrounding a Wooden Gear [BuildCraft] with sticks). The HeliPack will slow any fall and allow you to slowly glide to the ground unharmed, but will have no effect on your jumping height. This device requires no fuel, so may be preferable to its upgrade for those who are not concerned with gaining height. Due to the chest used in creation, it will even have 4 blocks of storage!
The second, upgraded pack would be the Thrust Pack, which is really just a low-powered, fancily-named Jetpack, but shh -- don't tell anyone. It increases your jumping height to an incredible 10 blocks and can be powered by either Buildcraft oil/fuel or, thanks to new advances in technology, glowstone blocks! However, since it's a new technology, the glowstone blocks are only half as efficient as a bucket of oil would be, and are consumed in the process. Like its predecessor, it has a small inventory, which has been expanded to 9 slots to compensate for the space taken up by fuel. Awesome! In addition, its thrust ability can be directed behind you, propelling you up to 3 spaces ahead at a time, but has a short cooldown. Its crafting recipe has much to be desired, but as of now it requires a HeliPack, a piece of glass (the secret of the glowstone fuel conversion), two pieces of glowstone, two pieces of redstone, and two iron ingots. I know the recipe's relatively cheap, but the upgrade is much more expensive and considerably more balanced.
The third pack is another upgrade to the HeliPack, the AmphiPack. This is possibly my favourite pack in the set, just because it adjusts Steve's horrible swimming capabilities. Despite being a powered device, it does NOT require energy. Once you start moving, it will slowly speed up and use the flow of water to power itself. Hooray for hydroelectric power! Its crafting recipe is a scuba helm (recipe will be shown below when I get around to it), a HeliPack, two redstone dusts, and two iron rotors (again, recipe when I get around to it).
A new biome with tall growing reeds everywhere and tamable pandas you can ride on with a saddle.
This actually sounds like a cool idea. Only thing is, me + art/models in minecraft = not good. If you can do the models/textures yourself or can find someone else to do it, I'm more than happy to help. PM me if you can or know someone who can

Good idea also, Not sure if i can limit the spawning rate enough so there would only be one at a time, but I'll try to figure it out.
- the first mod involves the musket and blunderbuss from Balkon's Weapons mod: can you make it in such a way that the gun barrels and shot rounds no longer use iron, but require the use of steel and can only be assembled using the Rolling Machine from the Railcraft mod?
- The second involves creating a Mosaic block from Millenaire, also using the Rolling Machine: this involves stacking a series of items together to form 1 mosaic block.
The recipe is:
3 glass blocks at the top,
3 lapis ore at the middle section, and
3 gold ornament blocks at the bottom. - the result is that you should be able to get a new block which would be ideal for Islamic architecture, I am dying for a Muslim-style kasbah for my bedroom.
Because these mods are based on 2 or more pre-existing mods, what must we do so that we can the content in question (guns from Balkon's mod, steel bars and machinery from Railcraft, and gold ornaments from Millenaire) to work together?
I have an idea! I have an idea! 8D
ok, as I read you are the coder kind, not the artist; so I think you may be looking for a coding challenge.
I expect also you are considering using the forge for less restrictions when coding etc..
There is something I really miss on minecraft right now.
There is a mod named TerraFirmaCraft, it made the mining more challenging, and very reallistic.
There is also another mod that makes our moves more reallistic, the SmartMoving as I remember.
But, I cant seem to find a mod that makes our necessities a challenge...
We NEVER HAVE TO go sleep. no-sense.
We have to eat, but that is so simple, we dont have to care for nutrition values..., also I am vegetarian and have to eat meat.. thats no-sense to me
We dont have to drink water (there is a thirst mod, it is good, but for a reallistic necessities mod it should cope with nutrition).
To really understand what I am talking about, you should play FallOut New Vegas, and install the Imp More Complex Needs mod.
We have a few stats that we must keep at good rates, so giving us strength, intelligence, perception etc bonuses or debuffs if too low.
Basically it is callories/fat (that keeps your hunger away), nutrients (that makes you smarter and more attentive), proteins (that makes you stronger and healthier and some other stuff..)
dude, if you are not going to do this, one day I may (hahaha, I didnt say "I will", I mean it..)
anyway thats what I am looking for: immersion.
A mod that boots up minecraft exactly 1280 by 720 pixels. Would be great for people like myself who make videos (which a lot of people do)
I have a thread about it on this forum, that I made a few hours ago. More info there.

try SPC, I think the name of the command is resize
then create a macro (at spc config path at mods path) named like: startup.txt
then at minecraft type:
startup macro startup
the 1st startup is a command, the macro will look for and execute the file startup.txt

Ok so first, we pack them together. Then we add some new code and change existing stuff. Ta-da! Modded mods. (What I'm trying to say here is that it wouldn't actually be really hard to do this. If this were my thread I'd go for it. Also, I'm too lazy to do it... )

thanks and um i remember the israphel legend he shoots arrows from his hand soooo ye hard to code i know but you can take the bow item and make it invisible in your own skin and its easy to code just use the arrow mechanics and make that shoot arrows
MOVE YOUR TOPIC TO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
