Your forgetting a whole mods worth of bees, the ars magica bees, install ars magica with either magic bees or extra bees i forget which, and you will unlock a new useful line. Thease bees are often forgoten about but i belive that one of them can produce a potion ingredent for mana potions. The authors were quite about adding the new bees. they only gave them like 2 sentences of text to them introducing them at the top of the page, since then i have never seen them on youtube or in any guide, please rectify this for magic lovers.
I've been trying to get hill cherry trees in the tree breeding and I'm hoping to get to chestnut and do what Sjin has done with making a chestnut tree farm and squeezing them for lots of seed oil.
However I've been attempting to get hill cherry for 4 hours over time and I am using the correct trees: Silver Lime and Apple Oak.
The thing is that it's taking so long to get pollinated leaves even though I've left lots of time. Whenever I get the rare pollinated leaf it just returns a Silver Lime mutation.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can speed up the process (I know getting faster working bees helps but that will take some time). Also anything that is helpful I would really appreciate.
I'm not sure if there is anything to speed the process besides the bees. You could leave your game running and have an automated bee system and come back in a couple of hours and have all the leaves be mutations.
yes i have got both and i had majestic once but it got lost in the breeding (i do it manually) should i just put the apiary where i breed the majestic bees apart?
Note that Cultivated + Common can also produce "Diligent", which makes it helpful to use the Beeanalyzer to check for inactive traits.
If that's the sequence you have been using and it hasn't been working... not sure what's going on.
Do you use the beeanalyzer to check the inactive traits? That can be very helpful, since the species/trait you are looking for might come up inactive rather than active.
Where the apiary is shouldn't matter, since you still control which princess and which drone get placed in the apiary (unlike trees, where it can be a lot more difficult to know what the other parent was.)
Other thing to check: what biome are you in? Are the temperature & humidity normal?
I need help getting a Blue Mahoe sapling. I've looked everywhere for the recipe. I believe it is Desert Acacia + Birch? The problem is I am having a hell of a time getting the Desert Acacia. It is Teak + Balsa right? Do I need to be in a specific area to get the Desert Acacia sapling? Also do I need to be in a specific area to get the Blue Mahoe sapling? Please help!
how do i get the cobalt and the ardite bees? , ive tried looking for them in the NEI but i think my versionis bugged since it shows mw imperials and infurnal, but when i look for infernal it shows thaumcraft bees? can someone help?
Sorry if this is a necro-post, but I've managed to breed a "Wooden bee" and it doesn't appear to be in your guide. If I'm correct, you get it from a Diligent and Cultivated bee. I don't want to breed it out of fear of losing it, so if you can tell me what it is, I'd appreciate it. EDIT: Never mind, the wooden bee is bred from a Diligent and Forest bee. http://mc.nessirojgaming.eu/bees/index.php?title=Wooden_Bee

I am not quite sure what a wooden bee is. I put the guide on halt for a little while due to some personal reasons and I haven't played much minecraft lately. So honestly, i'm not sure. Sorry.

What have you bred so far? Have you gotten Common yet? Have you gotten Cultivated?
Have you gotten a Noble bee yet?
The breeding sequence is:
Cultivated + Common --> Noble
Noble + Cultivated --> Majestic
Majestic + Noble --> Imperial
Note that Cultivated + Common can also produce "Diligent", which makes it helpful to use the Beeanalyzer to check for inactive traits.

Give a man a fish, and he'll be fed for a day.

You get Monastic bees by trading with villagers.
