I've come up with another idea for a mod. This one is probably my favorite out of all the ones I've come up with, but that's just me. This mod is currently called Mysticraft, and it adds in all kinds of fantasy and magical items! It also adds more RPG-esque things.
Skills! Similar to the popular plug-in for multiplayer servers, McMMO, Mysticraft will add in stats based on activities you normally do in Minecraft. You level up these stats over time by doing actions relating to the certain skill. When you level up a certain skill to a specific point, special attributes will become available to use, based on the skill. Strength – Strength is leveled up when you use melee weapons such as swords and axes. Special attribute: Gives you a high chance of killing a mob in 1-2 hits (Exception: Enderdragon and Wither). Leveling up results in more powerful attacks, and the special attributes lasting longer. Archery/Ranged – Archery skills are leveled up when you use bows or any sort of projectile. Leveling up results in arrows arc towards the nearest mob, sort of like a homing arrow.
Magic – Magic can be leveled up two ways; Enchanting and Brewing. You can level up your Magic skill to give enchanted items a higher level enchant. Brewing can give you a higher level of potion when brewed (ex, When you try to brew a Potion of Health, you might get a Potion of Health II). Special attribute: Magic spells have a bigger splash radius (See the Magic section)
Mining – Mining can be leveled up by mining stone, but is leveled up quicker by mining ores. Special attribute: When mining, there's a chance of a random ore being dropped along with stone.
Crafting – Crafting is the easiest skill to level up. Pretty obvious how to do it. Special attribute: Auto-crafting, shows you all items you can craft with the items in your inventory.
Agility – Agility is leveled up when you take fall damage. Over time, damage taken when falling is reduced. Special attribute: When falling, you have a chance of taking no fall damage at all.
Woodcutting – Speed of chopping a block with an axe is increased over time. Special attribute: when chopping down a tree, there is a chance of it all coming down at once. Similar to the Timber Mod by TehKrush.
Dungeoneering – Kind of a mouthful to say, is the most difficult skill to level up. Is leveled up when a monster spawner is destroyed.
Hunting – Hunting goes hand-in-hand with Archery and Strength. These two can be leveled up at the same time as Hunting, only Hunting is only for Pigs, Cows, Sheep and Chickens. Can be leveled up quicker when using a tamed wolf to kill passive mobs.
New Blocks (Ores) To go along with the fantasy theme to this mod idea, a few new ores will be added. A few are gems, and others are metals. Most of the metals are used in the crafting of tools and armors, while the gems are used for magical tools. Silver – Can be crafted into arrows for bows and bolts for crossbows. Can also be crafted into a sword, deals more damage to Werewolves.
Adamantite – Orange in color, can be found on the same layer as Emerald, and just as rare. Found in veins of 1-8. Requires smelting. Can be crafted into tools and armor.
Mythril – Can be found on the same layer as Emerald, and as rare as Lapis Lazuli. Can be crafted into armor and tools. Is purple in color and gives off a faint glow.
Demonite – Can only be found in the Nether near pools of lava. Black in color. Due to Demonite being very heavy, wearing it will slow you down. Reduces melee damage. Cannot be crafted into tools.
Magmatite – Magmatite can be found at any layer in the Nether, but has a low spawn rate. Can be crafted into tools, require a Blaze Rod in place of the stick.
Sapphire – Found on the lowest level of the Overworld, Sapphires can be used to learn water-based magic. (See Magic section for more)
Ruby – Found in the Nether, Rubies can be used to learn fire-based magic. (See Magic section for more)
Amethyst – Amethyst is found in the End. It can be used to learn teleportation spells.
Mobs! Fantasy realms are full of beasts and monsters! Goblins – Goblins are like zombies, only they don't burn in the sunlight. They can be found in Goblin villages or deep in caves. They are hostile, and will attack when they see you. They have 20 hearts of health, and will inflect damage when they touch you. They are hostile towards villagers.
Goblin Archers – Goblin Archers can spawn randomly in forests and in Goblin villages. They can be seen riding Dire Wolves or on foot. They attack by shooting arrows at the player or at villagers (When riding a Dire Wolf, the Wolf will do damage as well).
Dire Wolves – Dire Wolves are wolves that are always hostile. They spawn in any biome and will attack on sight. They have 10 hearts of health. They can be mounted by Goblin Archers.
Dread Spiders – Dread Spiders are spawned in spider nests or in jungle biomes. They have a high chance of poisoning you, and jump further than average spiders. Hoards of them will be summoned while fighting the Spider Queen boss. They have 15 hearts of health and to 3 hearts of damage.
Wraiths – Wraiths are commonly found in graveyards. They can slightly blind the player for a short period of time. They have 20 hearts of health and do 3 hearts of damage.
Loot Slimes – Loot Slimes can be found hopping around in caves. They have 10 hearts of health and only do 2 hearts of damage. When killed, the Loot Slimes will drop a random piece of equipment (Armor, tools and weapons) of varying durability.
Werewolves – Pretty self-explanatory, when it's daytime, the Werewolves look like the unused, green-robed villager. But at night they tun into a Werewolf! Werewolves have 25 hears of health and do 5 hearts of damage. They take more damaged from an unenchanted silver sword.
Bosses! To add a little more challenge! These bosses are all spawned through the use of spawn eggs, which can either be crafted or found in dungeon chests. Spider Queen – Spider Queen eggs can be found within Spider Nests. When she is summoned, her spider minions will aid her in battle. She has 100 hearts of health and does 5 direct hearts of damage.
Minotaur – Minotaur eggs are found in the center of Labyrinths. They have 100 hearts of health and do 8 hears of damage. When killed, the Minotaur has a chance of dropping an axe, enchanted with sharpness.
Minoshroom – Minoshroom eggs can be found in Labyrinths that spawn in a Mushroom Island biome. They have the same attributes as the Minotaur.
Coal Behemoth – The Coal Behemoth egg is found in Nether Fortresses, The Coal Behemoth is 12 blocks tall and has 75 hearts of health. They don't do any direct damage, but deal damage by shooting exploding fireballs at the player.
Naturally spawning structures! These structures are for helping level up your Dungeoneering skill. Dungeons – dungeons will now generate much larger than before. Instead of just one spawner and one little room, dungeons will generate with 3-5 rooms with a spawner or two in each! Most rooms will have a chestful of loot waiting, others may not.
Spider Nest – Spider Nests will spawn at around bedrock level. They are large rooms filled with cobwebs and spider spawners of all kinds; Basic Spiders, Cave Spiders and Dread Spiders. Several lootable chests can be found here.
Labyrinths – Labyrinths are large mazes that can be found underground or on the surface. A few small rooms are inside, and one large room can be found in the middle. In the middle room is a boss; a Minotaur. Labyrinths can also be found on Mushroom Islands, the only difference is the boss (See bosses for more info)
Graveyards – Graveyards can be found in any biome. They have zombie spawners inside, and lootable graves. Wraiths can spawn here.
Magic! Nothing implemented... yet
Weapons! A few new weapons to help fight the hoards of mobs to come! Crossbow – Crossbows are similar to bows, but they require a different type of projectile. Bolts are the ammunition for these. Crossbows are crafted using a bow(Full durability), wood, and iron. Bolts are crafted two ways. They can be crafted with Silver, to make Silver Bolts. Or, with iron to make basic bolts.
Warhammer – Warhammers are crafted using five materials and two sticks. Will knock back the mob that is hit.
Waraxe – A Waraxe is crafted with four materials and two sticks. Deal the same damage as a sword.
Goblin Blade – Goblin Blades are a rare drop from goblins, they cannot be crafted.
Goblin Bow – Goblin Bows are a rare drop from Goblin Archers. They can be crafted using bones and string. They have a very weak durability.
Well, that's all for now! Tell me if you liked it or didn't in the comments. I'd like to hear from someone if they could make this for me, I'd really appreciate it!
Hey this is a nice mod but still a little too advance i could do the mobs, ores, naturally spawning structures, and weapons but I have a week limit on making any suggested mod this alone would take at least 2-3 months but great ideas sorry i couldn't help out.
Not sure if you will see this, but I am working on a fantasy mod at the moment. And would love to use some of these ideas, If you don't mind, of course. I could use more ideas if you can think of any!

What I would suggest is adding more mobs (also neutral and friendly animals) and maybe some unique dimensions, maybe something like the aether, where all the blocks are different from the vanilla. I think the idea is great and once you go into depth on the magic system will be even better
