Okay - here is the full list of features added - you will see them all on Saturday.
Increased spawn rate of most mobs, especially Gluttons.
Gluttons now rarely drop Glutroots, which are a new crop that can be made into soup. (Warning: they do have a chance of giving Mining Fatigue when eaten).
Glutroots can be cooked into purple dye.
Ichorite Shards now work as bonemeal for Netherwarts and Glutroots.
Added obsidian doors and pressure plates.
Added new sound effects for Brimspells, and added a chomping noise for Gluttons when they eat your food.
Added a new decorative block.
Removed the border around soul glass.
Added capes!
Fixed some Multiplayer glitches.
Added a small Christmas feature.
Awesome Mod! But in the next update, can you add .lang files to edit the names of your items? I'm a resource pack maker and I am changing the Swords into Baseball Bats. (Yes, I'm kind of a beginner to resource packs due to whatever update introduced resource packs, but I'm trying to get used to it fairly quickly.)
We can see about that - it would be a useful thing to add. Stay tuned.

Great mod
i just have a few questions about the update.
thees new obsidian pressure plates do they work like the obsidian pressure plate mod and can only be activated by a player? or are they just like normal pressure plates?
also will the poison-lava combo still produce cobble after the update or is that also included?

I wondered same about pressure plates. Maybe there could be a config option to toggle the function?
And poison-lava? I don't remember seeing that o.o That sounds, just evil! So you'd take lava damage while being set on fire AND given poison?
That also gives me an idea of something that could possibly go in a new biome. Personally, I'd love to see a "wither" themed biome, with a dark, corrupt theme to it. The netherrack could be turned darker red, close to black. And instead of lava, it could have pools of wither. While it in, it would not deal damage or set you on fire, but it would apply the wither condition and make you move more slowly like lava. Also, since it is dark and wither, it could cast no light (and make no sound) =P Man, that would be one dark, spooky, and deadly part of the nether...
the poison-lava combo that i was talking about was what happens when you combine them (currently a cobble gen) it was mentioned previously in the thread to change it from a cobble gen to a netherrack gen. i am personally a huge fan of the idea since i like the pools of poison but the easy access cobble makes it so that there is very little variety between Overworld survival and Nether survival.
Will there be a Christmas update in a few weeks? Could have something like a piranha present that is like a present that has a huge jaw and sharp teeth (somewhat similar to the glutton in model), swims and only spawns in lava, and can either give you slowness or catch you on fire. It could drop random nether loot like a present would.

I've got an idea for a Christmas update - you will just have to wait to see what it is!
It's not much, but it should at least give you a laugh.
Maybe later. I am currently quite busy working on the mod itself - however maybe I could at a later date. If it's possible for you to do it without me, then you can feel free to do it.
Also, I am testing out a new texture for the Gluttons - it is almost identical, except for the feet. Here it is:
Which texture do you prefer? The old one or the new one? (After I get some opinions on the matter, I will be releasing version 1.2).
okay just let me know, & don't worry it is possible without but the more mods the better, if you havent already looked its a modlist what lets users download & install there mods & gives mod authors full control over the mod download without the program needing an update, but only when you have spare time you will only ever need to change 2 lines when updating
Okay - I think I will - once I'm a little less busy!
When is the release of the next update? I'm really excited about it.
Saturday the 14th. It will be awesome.
Also a new feature I'm thinking of adding (Not now. If at all, after the Nether Dungeons) would be a new button that would appear in "More World Options". It could allow you to chose which dimension you want to spawn in - the Nether or the Overworld. More dimensions (even from other mods) could possibly be added in the config. What would you all think of that?

That could be interesting.... when (if) I add biomes, I'll be sure to consider a wither biome.

You can post them on this thread - it's fun to watch and it keeps the thread bumped up!
Also, if you want you can switch to the new update when it comes out - it won't affect generation, just change some features.
