would it be possible to add an IDC system that could be controlled by CC? also, what if you have the gate take all/some of the rednet messages sent to/around it and has them moved to and broadcasted from the receiving gate?
I hate to admit it but yeah there is next to no information about what's changed with the mod and the site its linked with it's own wiki, especially the wiki has no information what so ever.

you are missing one CC thing from the OP. the gate fires an event called "sgIncoming" with a parameter of .
if you want use the ode in a program to detect when a gate is dialing in and its address do

Hey I noticed that in the wiki there is no mention of the new dialing method I recall being talked about (where a gate could be named and would always use that address regardless of location).
I also noticed that the wiki seemed to be really close to the lore of the show.
So I was wondering if the plans had perhaps changed to be more in line with the shows lore (with gates needing location based addresses)
Really like what you guys are doing, and will play this either way but im not fond of the gate naming idea (if thats still a thing) anyway thank you for your hard work.

The opening transient-wormhole of a Stargate event horizon is extremely dangerous. It is recommended to maintain a distance of at least 5 blocks from the front of the Stargate until the event horizon stabilises. Entities which contact the transient-wormhole will be vaporized.
Breaking a Stargate while a connection is open is not recommended. The event horizon contains a large amount of potential energy; if the stargate mechanism is disrupted, this energy will be explosively released.
So, one question. I used the FML installer, I did all three options for install (Client, server, and install). Is there anything else that needs done before I install this mod?
you only need to install the client if your playing it by yourself. the other two rent neccary unless you want to set up a server in which case you use the server option and install it to an empty folder.

No, nothin else, once you install the Client of Forge, you drop this mod into your .minecraft/mods/ folder and be sure to create a profile and choose the Forge version.

First thing I tried when discovering this mod in my world is standing infront of the event horizon when the gate connects lol. I did not die though, I am sure that is coming later on.
makes me wonder how big of an explosion you would get if you accidentally broke a piece of a gate. I mean the ring basically is made out of a material that is a massive conductor all that damn energy would probably make one giant crater if the thing were to go off. I jsut did that, broke a Chevron while it was running....that was something.
I discovered, incidentally, that setting TNT right next to an active stargate ring will immediately activate the TNT.
