(an ode to minecraft modding)
i keep making the same mistake, i think "oh, i've given them a few months, surely it'll be fixed by now" THAT is why i seem to ALWAYS be angry to some of you, my advice is to get the lead out.
there were nice things here, until the mod author threw a tantrum.
Running into another odd problem. Ive collected a spawner and am using the grinder to kill and gather xp. The problem I'm running into is the grinder will kill mobs for a short bit, then the IDLE bar stops updating and the machine just dead-locks. Breaking it fixes it for a few cycles then it repeats. This is happening on SMP, but i cant seem to duplicate this on SSP.
I'm having some issues with the item router. I set up a mini farm to make me food and rubber, but the strange thing is that wood and rubber drops don't appear to be recognized. I have my router set up like this: http://imgur.com/0U33Wpr,3hAqBgY http://imgur.com/0U33Wpr,3hAqBgY#1
Harvested wheat, wheat seeds, rubber, rubber wood, and rubber saplings go in the top. Rubber saplings and seeds go through the blue side, into the planter. Wheat goes into the chest, on the red side. All of that works fine. For some reason, though, whenever rubber wood or rubber enters the router, it just spits it back out. If I change the setting thing it keeps the stuff inside, then spits it out when I change it again. Any help or advice on how to work that? I haven't got any diamonds, so I can't really use diamond pipes.
EDIT: This also happens with regular wood and saplings.

When a machine has an item to drop and nowhere to put it, and without the ability to drop it into the world (the side with the hole), it will dead lock until it can drop the item into a pipe or inventory of some kind (TE, BC, chests, etc.). It's getting a rare drop (iron ingot maybe?) from the mobs and you don't have any valid locations for that to be put in the pipe network. An overflow chest would solve the problem.

Try assigning the filter slots making sure you left click on the slots (as though you're placing an entire stack). There's a bug with right clicking fake slots, and a version to fix that and a few other mentioned bugs will be released shortly.
I'm sorry, but there appears to be a dup bug in the liquicrafter. I'm playing the Agrarian Skies map in the FTB pack, and this happened to me in both 2.0.2 and 2.0.3. The version I just tested was PowerCrystals Core 1.1.8 and Minefactory Reloaded 2.7.8, on the single-player Agrarian Skies 2.0.3.
To reproduce, place a liquicrafter down, place a lever on it, create a pattern of a crafting table and place 64 planks in the liquicrafter inventory. Then log out and log back in. Look in the liquicrafter, notice that the pattern is missing (it's a blank grid). Now flip the lever repeatedly.
When I did this, I got crafting tables being repeatedly made with no decrease in the oak planks.
So the core mod works fine but when I throw in MFR i get this crash:

Thanks for the quick help! I am so glad to be using item routers instead of diamond pipes. So much less expensive... MFR is also nice because it brings the factory feel back to modded MC.Thermal Expansion, IC2, and Forestry are all moving towards magic block solutions, which can be good, but an old-fashioned "you need like 18 machines to automate this task" mod is nice. A fully automated farm now needs a: planter, harvester, fertilizer, a bunch of sewer blocks, an item router, a composter, and a couple cows, and to make that better you need a grinder, a breeder, and another item router, and if you want even BETTER farming you need several chronotypers and some Project Red logic gates, and if you want the farm to be able to run on its own forever you need to have a biofuel maker and generator. See how complicated that is? That's fun. Now put it on the moon, and you need even more equipment so that you can live in a biosphere with your cows and a load of poop tanks. This is modded MC at its best.
It's also nice that MFR doesn't have its own power system, but rather runs on ANY other power system. Ironically, I didn't get this mod so much because it is useful, but because it doesn't run on its own power. I just wanted to be like, "I have this cool mod that is compatible with like everything else! " and so I did.
I am having an issue on a server. When I log off of my server, not shutting it down, when i log back into it, all the Planters I placed and put in certain things to grow in certain spots will be gone. I've tried saving the server while I was on it to see if it would matter and it doesn't. Is there some way to fix the planter to keep my data?
MFR 2.7.8-482
I'm seeing this issue as well. It happens when the chunk unloads/reloads
The LiquiCrafter is doing the same thing, but worse it's remembering the result even though it forgets the recipe, allowing for infinite crafting without consuming items.
Another problem I'm seeing is something that's ONLY happening in multiplayer (not seeing the issue in singleplayer...)
Fluids are getting jumbled up. It's causing client crashes when going to NEI's Fluid Registry tab, but also causing fluid mismatches: for instance, when filtering TE fluiducts, Mob Essence buckets clicked into the filter add Pink Slime to the filter grid instead of Mob Essence.
I've verified there's no ID conflicts going on, and the server and client configs are identical.

Make sure all the clients and server are using all caps for the file names for the mods. Windows and linux handle caps differently and ti can mess up whats what. So if everything is all caps for both the client and the server in the mod folder it will fix those weird issues with fluids changing.

They're both Windows, and the file names are identical. If they weren't loading the same mods the client wouldn't even be able to connect in the first place.

Is there any way for us to keep the steam turbine thing and the biofuel gen thing?
I did love this cheaty power and want it to be an option in the config or something similar.
Even if you just give us a version of the newest version but this bug still there, I would be so happy if so
Thanks!

Just again that I could of get answer?
I would love to have it
As someone else said, I can use magmatic dynamos and add water to fuel, but that requires invar ingots and I don't wanna make invar at all D:
MC 1.6.4
MFR version MineFactoryReloaded-2.7.5-352
I am unable to create the machine block in single player creative world in crafting table or in a crafting table on a server. I put in the Itmes:
Plastic sheet/Plastic Sheet/Plastic Sheet
Stone/Stone/Stone
The NEI will not show the recipe when clicked on in the NEI interface.

What am I doing wrong?
Are you using a modpack?
Does NEI even show the Machine Block is used in any recipes?
If you're using a modpack, then maybe the modpack creator opted to use alternative recipes such as an Unattuned Tesseract's instead of machine blocks

Why does all the fluids added by MFR have messed up names with Walia?
They all have [Fluid].name, despite trying to fix it manually.
Just again that I could of get answer?
I would love to have it
As someone else said, I can use magmatic dynamos and add water to fuel, but that requires invar ingots and I don't wanna make invar at all D:
Yup that was me. After further "testing" you could always use the reactant dynamo with water and a sugar farm providing a cheap catalyst.
NEI shows nothing for this item, but the picture for it.
So why would you want to make this block?
This item is used for nothing in the Monster modpack, there is no reason to craft it.
