I really like the new research system. I mean, I like it a lot. It's so much better, I can't even descibe how much I prefer it. However, I do have one issue, that seems fairly common, judging from other recent posts.
It seems that Ordo is in extremely short supply now - because it's just too useful. Some combination of Motus, Permutatio, Victus, Gelum, and Potentia and the associated primals can be used to connect just about everything, making those aspects by far the most valuable. The only other aspect that comes close to the previous in usefulness is Praecantitio, for connecting Aer and Perdito stuff through Vacuous.
But since almost all of those aspects I listed, including Praecantitio through Potentia, are based on Ordo, it seems to weight the aspects quite roughly - I am constantly out of Ordo. IMO the research "starters" should be spread out a bit better, so Motus and Permutatio aren't used in pretty much every research in the book.
Lastly, I really feel like a nerd after reading what I just typed. And damn it, we just got this new release, and Direwolf is already teasing the next one..

There's a trick I found regarding Ordo. Metallum is Ordo + Saxum, and Saxum and Metallum are super abundant, since anything made of iron or stone has them. You can link Saxum together via Terra, connecting it with the also super useful Victus.
When I added the check to see if bellows is deactivated with redstone it seems I reversed the check used with infernal furnaces. I will fix it for the next release, but for now you can once again get the speed boost by switching them off with a redstone signal.
Bellows work correctly for anything else, its just the infernal furnace that is reversed.
For the next major release I am planning to allow tubes to connect and disconnect like TE conduits - in other words you can disconnect each individual side, not just in parrallel lines depending on how they were placed.
Yeah only after releasing version E did notice some of the localization had updated. The next release should have the updated localizations. For now you can manually go and get the chinese localization file on github and replace the one inside the .zip
well my fault.I had found that fontfix mod cause the crash, anyway thank you Azanor!
I've been having an issue with crashing because of (what I think is) holding pipes in my inventory. I did some testing with it, and I keep getting the same error. I made sure it wasn't placed pipes, but pipes held in my hotbar seem to cause the issue. After it crashes I can't access the world anymore, any help would be appreciated.
I am being swarmed by 50 or more zombies! normal zombies, i dont mind that your smart zombies track me from miles away, but they have a reduced spawnrate, normal zombies however, track me from far more away than i can see, and their spawn is very common.
That would be vanilla mechanics. They made zombie AI a wee bit hazerdouse to your health. Angry zombies just get the benefit of it by being zombies. =p
Is it possible to get a thaumium bossed primal staff through vis discount, also, how?
In vanilla thaumcraft no, with TT kami yes. But at that point you can give it ichorium caps on top of thaumiam caps. Azanor does have plans in the future for bigger things however.

those zombie hordes are a vanilla minecraft thing. they added the ability to spawn additional zombies when theyre attacked, and they can see you from a lot further distance.
while it can be anoying early on, i dont know what to think about it. it kind of makes sense for zombies to attack in hordes, and that the fighting attracts even more of them, if youve ever seen a zombie movie.

if you have a wand focus with frugal 3 on the wand in your workbench, it apparantly applies its 15% vis discount in addition to the thaumium caps and the robes.
while this smells of a bug, some people said its technically possible to get thaumium caps on your staff this way.
it only works if you dont have potency though, since the enchant increases the vis costs by 15% per level. so frugal 3 and potency 3 cancel each other out.
The ability to apply the runic armor to the Thaumaturge's set would be a good way to make that armor actually useful as armor.
That set was never meant to be used as armor. It's more or less like a scientist wearing his lab coat. It's more or less a crafting buff. While normally you don't need it there are some cases where you'll need it to make some higher tier stuff. Like a thaumiam capped silverwood.

i wouldnt object though. because the robes are cool and customizable with dye.
it would be nice to be able to bind the runic armor to any armor in the game, even if the resulting armor is just visual, and doesnt retain its abilities and protection.
how about making it possible to bind it with leather armor? you can color it like you want, and it makes sense, because it doesnt grant more protection anyways?
1 thing I don't like is that you need to research some items to get access to new research. It is kinda okay, but without any clues to what to research it kinda is a pain.
Soooo...
How do you get the research for the staff core of the primal, the primal wand focus and the Bone bow? :3

HaighyorkieChilled and his other channel Haighyorkie have videos going through how to get all of the research. You will probably want to watch both the 4.0 set and the 4.1 set as there is a bit of overlap. It will probably take him a while to figure it out himself but I do believe he shows how to get the researches you mentioned. Basically though without any spoilers use the thaumometer to research blocks and eventually you will get those research. I believe you have to find all of the wand cores before you can get the staves.

I was going to make a witty and awesome signature but I feel kind of lazy, maybe another day.

I know how you should get the hidden research, but I don't want to make loads of TC stuff JUST to research it...
And I currently have all researches completed (including TT2). except for those 3 (+ the lamp of fertility).
And I looked up the guy on yt, but he doesn't seem to have a vid about it, just 1 TC 4.1 vid.

As noted above, that's vanilla. Also, it's because Thaumcraft is still based on 1.6.4; in Minecraft 1.7, they did in fact nerf the zombie swarming to much more reasonable levels.
Any chance on looking at the Travelling Trunk? I played with it a bit, but it kept getting lost because I moved too fast for it.
It's supposed to teleport after you as necessary. However, like dogs and cats, it won't do that if you're flying, or boating/swimming in deep water, so it is possible to strand it by flying or boating out of chunk range. To avoid this, just touch down (solid ground or shallow water) occasionally so it can teleport to you.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
