-Fixed compatibility with Somnia
-Only worlds with a sky are affected (possibly fixes BuildCraft timing in the Nether/End/etc.) Downloads: (1.6.4)(1.6.2)(1.5.2)(1.4.7)
v1.2:
-Sleeping doesn't reset total world time to 0
-Added 1.6.4 support Downloads: (1.6.4)(1.6.2)(1.5.2)(1.4.7)
v1.1:

-Install the appropriate version of Forge if you haven't already
-Download the TimeScaler.jar that matches your Minecraft version and place it in your "mods" folder
MP Note: Clients don't need the mod to join the server, but they'll see the sun jitter annoyingly without it.
Uninstall Note: This mod sets doDaylightCycle to false, so set it back to true to get the sun moving again (the command is /gamerule doDaylightCycle true).
How to use it
Commands: /timeScale help - shows these commands /timeScale - amount to scale time by (Ex: 0.5 makes days twice as long) /timeScale - scale time for day and night, respectively /timeScale real - syncs the sun with the server clock /timeScale timeZone - Time zone for 'real' timeScale /timeScale offset - time offset if using 'real' timeScale (1000 = 1 hour) /timeScaleInfo - shows the current settings
Note: you can type "ts" instead of "timeScale", "tz" instead of "timeZone", and "tsi" instead of "timeScaleInfo"
Config file:
A config file (timescaler.cfg) is loaded from the "config" folder if one exists. The config file will be created automatically when the mod loads. Here is what you can define in the config file:
timescale - either a value (like 0.1 or -42) or "real" if you want the time to be synced with the server clock. If you want different values for day and night, separate them with a comma (e.g. timescale = 1, 2)
This is how you would calculate the time scale based on how many minutes you want each day to last:
time scale = 20 / (desired time in minutes)
Ex: For 30-minute days: (20/30) = 0.66667
For 24-hour days: (20/1440) = 0.01389
If using separate time scales for day and night, the formula is 10 / (minutes) for both day and night.
timezone - Which timezone the clock should use (if timescale is "real"). You can type "local" here to use whatever timezone the server is in. See the spoiler for time zones if you want to set a specific one. I recommend not using GMT as that does not account for daylight savings time. offset - similar to timezone, but the value used here is the amount of ticks the sun should be offset by (1000 = 1 hour). I use this to fine-tune the sunset to match the real world, or if I don't feel like looking up a timezone.
Example config file:
timescale = real
timezone = local
offset = 0

Ah nvm! It does work.
I must have had a typo when I tried. And I also assumed it didn't work in the first place since in the server window I got a "timescaler : config file not found" Awesome job on this.. I have been looking for this for a long time now and I had to use the awful commandblock timemachine workaround which forced me to toggle the daylightcycle on and off all the time.

He-he. It's been 24 hours since i installed this mod and i have "Day 1". It seems game now counts only real time days. Only thing i have changed is "/timeScale 0.5" and that's all. My config file looks like this
timescale = 0.5
timezone = local
offset = 0
My Millenaire mod villagers will spawn after 5 real time days. I can't wait such long What do i have to do to fix that?
Just downloaded this awesome mod and i must say it works like a charm.As long as you keep updating to corospond to the newest versions of minecraft I will deffinatly keep downloading new versions. Thank you.

Hey! Mod is working perfectly! I tried making a config file to set the timescale so I don't have to specify it everytime I start my world, but it doesn't seem to work.. I assume this is because I manually have to open the world to lan everytime I load it.. Is there a way to fix this?
I use IngameInfo from here (last version - [1.6.2]IngameInfo.ML.1.6.2.r03.zip) and the counter doesn't work.
Also, with Somnia - seems like time wouldn't speed-up when you sleep as intended.
I tried that version of ingameInfo and the day counter still works for me. I tried time scales 0.3, 10, 100, and they all incremented the day counter once time passed 0. I'm beginning to think the problem is coming from other mods (and maybe mine conflicts with them or something).
Somnia support is now added, but I don't think Somnia works right with 1.5.2 because it set time to 0 once I fell asleep.
I think this mod conflicts with Buildcraft and other mods which use energy per time measures. I can't confirm but it seems i always have Day Zero when i am near to my machines. Also they work weird. Sometimes they make same operation in whole day, sometimes in couple of hours.
I use Buildcraft, Forestry and Millenaire mods. So, one of them is guilty

Ah, that must be the problem then. When you start a new world without machines does the day counter work correctly? I'm not sure I can fix this problem since I don't know how buildcraft uses time internally.
I'm beginning to think the problem is coming from other mods (and maybe mine conflicts with them or something).
I've installed a new version, it's still day 0, then I remove your mod and time just stand still and sun stop moving Well, I install it again, and time moves on, and days starts to count from day 1.
I just started new game. Days count fine. Well, not actually fine. New day starts at 06:00. Don't know if it was the same in vanilla. Day 0 starts every time when i go to bed and then wake up. So, Buildcraft's machines are not a case.
Make the days longer, shorter, backwards, or synced to a real-world clock!

Does it not work for you? I just created a mcpc+ server and the mod loaded fine, although I had to op myself to use the /tsi (timeScaleInfo) command.
One question. How to make a 30 min. day? /timescale 0.33? And an hour day? Sorry, i'm a philologist
P.S. Also i can't use these commands in Survival game. I had to start another Creative game to create config file
time scale = 20 / (desired time in minutes)
Ex: For 30 minute days - 0.66667 (20/30)
To use the commands you have to be opped or have cheats enabled in singleplayer. You can set up the config file by yourself, just write "timescale = 0.66667" in a file called "timescaler.cfg" in your config folder.
Is it possible to fix "Day Zero"? I have GameInfo mod, so i can see how many days i am in game. But after i installed this mod every day is "Day 0".
If you use the "/timeScale real", then the day counter may not work. I can fix that if anyone needs it.
My Millenaire mod villagers will spawn after 5 real time days. I can't wait such long What do i have to do to fix that?
Also, with Somnia - seems like time wouldn't speed-up when you sleep as intended.
My timescale is 0.3.
Thanks for the bug report and for spotting that typo! This is all fixed now.
I use Buildcraft, Forestry and Millenaire mods. So, one of them is guilty
Ah, that must be the problem then. When you start a new world without machines does the day counter work correctly? I'm not sure I can fix this problem since I don't know how buildcraft uses time internally.
I've installed a new version, it's still day 0, then I remove your mod and time just stand still and sun stop moving Well, I install it again, and time moves on, and days starts to count from day 1.
Yes, it work now on 1.6.2, thanks!
